I HAVE NOT BEEN ON THE BOARDS IN A WHILE BUT I AM SOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE THAT ALOT OF THE GIRLS I USED TO TALK TO HAVE NOW GONE ON TO GET PREGNANT AND SOME HAVE EVEN HAD THEIR BABIES. I HAVE TAKEN A 6 MONTH BREAK AFTER 2 FAILED IVF TREATMENTS. THE HEARTBREAK WASUNBEARABLE AND I HAVE SEVERE PCOS AND DECIDED TO TRY AND GET THE INSULIN LEVELS DOWN WHICH I HAVE NOW DONE. I HAVE DROPPED 42 POUNDS SINCE AND FEEL GREAT. TODAY IA GOT A CALL FROM A FRIEND WHO IS NOW STARTING IVF TREATMETS AND WAS ASKING ADVICE. WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE, I STATRED TO CRY. I HAVENT CRIED IN A LONG TIME REGARDING THE "BABY". I THOUGHT I WAS STRONGER BY NOW BUT NO. THE THOUGHT OF NVERE BEING A MOMMY IS SO DEVASTATING THAT I CAN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. I AM STARTING A WHOLE NEW CYCLE IN SEPTEMBER. I AM HOPING THAT 3 TIMES IS A CHARM.
WELL THANKS FOR LISTENING. AYBE SEPTEMBER WILL BE THE TIME FOR ME AND FOR ALL OF US.

Deb hello! I hopefully will be an August - September buddy if I got my dates right (hum hum, I am not very good with dates!!)
So I will know more on my next appointment ( 18th of July) but I hope to start downregg mid-end August and stimms and test sometimes in September!

Jackie welcome! How are you? I hope September will be your month (our month)!!

Lisamarie, welcome back! well done on the weight lost, that is fab!
Dont know if you remember me, but I was on the boards when you was cycling... But no chance for me no pregnancies and no bay just yet!

As you said, 3rd time lucky (it will be my third too)!!

I am also on the August thread and will be following both. I will be on holidays from next Monday until.... september if I am lucky to get pregnant. If not, I will stay in France until December so I can have another go...
I dont have easy internet access at home, but I will be reading all your posts!

My DH and I just had our first failed cycle in June, so we will be starting meds again in Aug. and doing our transfer in Sept. I was happy to find this thread.

Welcome to Niffi!

I suggested the August group to join this one, as most of us will be starting in August but finishing in Sept, so we belong to both! And as I said, the more the merrier (sorry if wrong spelling!!). Also, August might be a bit slow because of the holidays... So We might have more buddies joining!

Ok, I am so excited about this cycle!!
I have done my suitcase today as I am leaving sunny ANgola on Tuesday to go home!!!! YEAHHHHHH
Poor Dh will stay another month on his own . Then we will have 4 weeks holidays at home in France, and DH will go back to Angola.
I wont see him for 3 long months... I know this will be hard, but hopefully I will have a little baby in my tummy to make time go faster!!

It must be hard to have your sweet DH away.. My DH travels maybe once a month for a day or two but wow a whole 3 months... You are right though you will have a little one to keep you company...

I am so excited for our group.. Is anyone else doing accupuncuter? I have just started.. I am hoping it helps with some of the stress etc.....I originally was going to do it to quit smoking but I did that on my own last month (the day before my transfer) I am very proud that I did not go back to it.. As much as I have wanted too.. I am being as good as possible... 1 month with no smoking and hopefully soon I will have a little one with me (I think that will make it easier to not want another smoke ever)

I am following Jackie from the April/May thread. I had my review appointment today. I was so hoping that he would say we could start our 2nd try at IVF/ICSI this cycle.

Instead we have to wait until about the end August to start the lupron, which puts the EC and ET in September. He wants me to have two normal cycles after my m/c before we start again. I was disappointed but that will make me cycle buddies with all of you!

He is changing my stims a little, adding a new drug, and is going to do the transfer with a full bladder this time. Other than that, it looks like it will about the same as last time. I just really, really hope it works this time.

why the full bladder change? I know some docs do it that way and some don't did they say why they want to do it?

Jackie- He said my uterus makes a sharp turn to the right, which is unusual. He wants to try it with a full bladder this time to see if it helps with implantation.

I think part of the reason I lost the pregnancy is that it implanted late. I had implantation bleeding just a couple of days before my beta test. It should have implanted long before then. 80% of pregnancies with late implantation don't survive.

I'm willing to try anything at this point!
