Fever at 7dpt3dt

Post by tonya01 »

Hello everyone,

I ran a low-grade fever yesterday (never more than 100.2 degrees) and wanted to reach out to see if anyone has experience anything similar. Should I be worried? Called my doctor and was perscribed Doxycyclene - just in case.... Temp is back to normal today.

Thanks!

Low grade fever

Post by children »

Hi Tonya,

I had low grade fever around 99F from day 16 to day 30 and then I started to be sensitive to food smell, after I have this slight morning sick, my low grade fever is gone. But I am sick of food and I am now 7wks pregnant.

I was told low grade fever is good and morning sickness is associated with less risk of mc and pre-term. So, enjoy!

Thank you so much for the response and congrats!

This is my fourth IVF cycle and I am just on pins and needles about everything. Sometimes I wish there was a window into my uterus so that I could just check each day to see what is going on :P Or else I would drive myself insane!

My best is Friday - so my fingers and toes are crossed!

Have you done HPT? I could see very faint line at 7dpt and then the line gets darker and darker every 12 hours. I pee on 15 sticks before the formal test, I am a HPT freak!

BTW, do you mind my asking whether you saw a heartbeat in your two previous pregnancies? Because I saw a heartbeat today at 7w2d, would like to know the likelihood of mc.

Best luck on your test, two days to go!

I am unable to work up the courage to do a HPT - I would drive myself even MORE insane regardless of the results.

Beta is tomorrow - so I will wait until they call :-)

The heartbeat is a very good sign - and your odds decrease daily :-)

As for the previous pregnancies -

#1 - U/S at 5w4d - they were not able to locate evidence of a pregnancy - concluded pregnancy was chemical - not sure how I feel about that

#2 - U/S at 6w - saw the sac - no fetal pole - blighted ovum

Hi Tonya,

Thanks for the message. I was told that ivf involves more mc but I am never quite sure that was due to technology or just because ivf monitors better. I am guessing natural mc rate is not as low as we thought either.

Yes, one more day to go, just wait, if you have already waited for the last 13 days! I just could not.

Waiting for your update on your beta!

Tonya,
I am very very sorry for the negative results. If you do not mind, I would like to share how I coped with negative results with you. I did quite a bit to stay positive. I was completely depressed after my first ivf failed - desperately thinking that all my eggs were bad because of my age. I also had a consultation with both of my RE and Embryologist who takes care of my embryos in the lab separately - my RE said it is unlikely that my egg quality was bad, which helped a lot. I read a lot of books about ivf and fertility, that helped slightly. What helped me the most by calmming my mind and giving me confidence was practicing yoga. I also did 3-4 sections of deep tissue messages on the belly to remove the adhesions (I have extensive scar tissues outside the uterus which prevents from natural preg), but I do not know how much this helped. Some others performed acupunctures which helped them also, but I have not done this, because I could not find any good acupuncturist in our area.

It is so hard to stay possitive, I know. But only when you are staying possive and hopeful, things will work. If you decide to try again, I wish you have a better luck next time.

Thank you both for your concern - I am still very hopeful that we will be successful. We will begin prep for a FET at the end of this week - we had 4 excellent frozen embies from IVF#3 - maybe the decrease stress on my body/ovaries will make the difference :)

I have been going to acupuncture once a week between cycles and twice a week during cycles since March - and as much as I enjoy the quiet time - we have decided that it has not helped enough to continue (it will also save us $120 a week during a cycle)!

I am going to focus on good health/diet and low stress - and keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Thanks again for the support!

Hi Tonya,

Me too, very hopeful for you. From your history, everytime they could get you pregnant. Once a heartbeat is detected, the mc rate will decrease. I hope this time will be a success! It took me also twice FET to establish my pregnancy, I hope your second time is your lucky one!

All the best, Yasmina
