Aunty,

Just update mine to August-FET. As soon as I get my cycle, I will start with Patch.

Jackaoa.. Thanks a lot. Dr. agreed because my lining was very good 16mm. He said normaly they will wait for 3 cycle to give enough time for the lining to rebuild.

I didn't her from Ghost yet :?:

Hi all! Thanx for those that replied about my Lupron concerns. Here is another. I am about a week or so away from stimms...can someone really give me the info on what I can expect (side-effect wise). Am I gonna bloat and look pregnant? How bout mood stuff? Is it really bad? I need to prepare me, my dh and if I am gonna look preggo...I need to come up with some kind of story as to why I bloated (I am not telling my friends about the IVF right now).

Thx!!!

Hey Zirly, its so hard top be able to tell you i have had two ivf's and both have been so different, the first one i didnt really have too many side effects (hopefully yours will be like this) my second i was a head spinning loon for the seconsd half of the stimms(ask jackie), i like you only told my inlaws none of my friends knew about IVF soooo what i did i said i had hormone problems(not untrue) and that i was retaining water and was working with the DR to sort it out  i wasnt telling a lie exactly just skirting around the truth.
the only reason my second one was so hard on me was i was on max does of hormones 450 Gonal F a day the bloating was from OHSS tons and tons of water works for that so you can start drinking that now you may be able to avoid too much discomfort.
do you know what drug and dose you will be taking may give us more idea as to what you may expect?

i hope you sail through on a follie breeze...

love and hugs Debz

Hi Girls
Well, the 1st stim injection is over. I was in tears by the end of it as the mixing seemed a real nightmare. I am taking Menopur - has anyone else found this tricky? I have to use a long needle to draw up an ampule of water, load this into an ampule of powder, draw this up, load into the next and so on for 4 ampules of powder. I seemed to get lots of air into the syringe and couldn't quite get the last bit of mixture out of each ampule. I got myself into a right state. I then have to change the large needle for a small one and inject into my leg. I found the plunger on the syringe really hard to push down but eventually got there. It just seemed a mess from start to finish. Can anyone give me any advice?

I am going away this weekend to the V Festival and staying in a tent for 2 nights. I am taking my drugs with me in a cool box. This should be ok shouldn't it? Does anyone think I'm mad!?? I just want to carry on as normally as possible and I LOVE going to this festival, we go every year.

Sorry to ramble on!!

Hi

Ems - I am going to be starting stims with menopour, hopefully next week. When I did IUI earlier this year I did the second round with menopur so have had to mix it before but only had one ampule each time. I found the mixing got easier each time I did it but changing the needles was a bit of a faf. I think I have got to have 3 ampules ecah day. So do you have to make it up with just one lot of the liquid or three. I was really worried that it would be 3 as that seems an awful lot of liquid to inject. If it is one then that is not quite so bad.

Good luck for the jabs tommorow. I hope it is a bit easier.

Zirly - I think we will be taking stims at the same time. Do you know what you have got yet. Like you I am also worried about the side effects, bloating etc. I have already put on 5 pounds of weight during the down reging and all my clothes are tight already. I don't want to buy any more though as hopefully i will be needing alot bigger ones soon, and if the IVF doesn't work it will be time for a strict diet. I am heard alot on here about OHSS so am alreay trying to drink lots of water, which could explain some of the weight gain, and also me having to keep running to the loo.

Aunty - My baseline scan is on August 23rd if you want to add it to your list. I thought of just copying and pasting it but then I would lose all of your lovely pictures.

To everyone else hope it is all going alright for you. After years of waiting I can't really believe that IVF is actually happening and keep waiting for someone to tell me that there is a problem.

Speak to you soon
Angela

Hi! Ems...good for you for doing the injection. It sounds to me like you had it right on.

Aunty...thank you for the info on the stims. I hope I get through them emotionally well. That is what I am most concerned about. I suffer with anxiety as it is...so I can't imagine anymore. As for water drinking...do I need to do that with the lupron or just start drinking tons of water with the stims? I am a TERRIBLE water drinker!

Angela: You are drinking lots of water now with lupron? does it help for lupron or are you just prepping for the stims? I feel so uninformed all of a sudden. It is making me nervous.

I will be taking Menopour and one other med for stims...I did not realize that they had to be mixed each time. What a hassle and nightmare!

Ug...I am getting so nervous.

For the side effects I did not have any bloating (until after ET) it was really minimal. I am not a couple months past my IVF and I have put more weight on now than during the whole process.. I am with Aunty though we were some crazy ladies  I was not really emotional (I had my moments) I was more paranoid... I think that also came with it being my first IVF but that is why you have found us..We will do our best to keep you as sane as possible... :D

Ems
it sounds like today was really rough with all the mixing but you got through it and you are well on your way..I think your weekend sounds really lovely and good for you still going to the fesitvial.. You may not be going next year with little one(s) being so small so now is your time :D

Angela
Keep the water going and hopefully that will help if you get anymore bloating..About the pants being tight this will only get worse very soon you will have a big bump so you will have to get all new clothes :D It sounds like you have waited for this IVF for a while.. We will keep up all the PMA with you :D ITs going to go great.

Paula how are you doing my dear.. Keeping up the PMA :D

Jemma
I am crossing fingers and toes and saying my prayers for you. :D

Aunty seems like you and I will be bringing up the rear of this thread.. Jeck will be with us too.. This is so exciting.. ...I think all this PMA is going to make our cycles fly by...Just wait to we get crazy again we will scare these poor girls  They will think we have gone mad

love and hugs

Wonderful ladies, thank you all so much for your words of encouragement. I know it will get easier as time goes on, the hardest one is over now.

Angela - my clinic told me that its 1 ampule of water to up to 4 ampules of powder and 2 waters to any more than that. Hope that helps you.

Sorry I can't stop long, am exhausted so off to bed for an early night!

I am thinking of you all and wishing you all good luck with your tmts wherever you are at.

Big Hugs

hey there! Things are moving along, I'm now on day 5 of stims. if all goes normal I should be ready for ER next wednesday. I haven't noticed any extra moodiness. I'm kind of a moody person anyway  I did feel light headed on day 2 and super drowsy day 3 and 4 and slept accordingly. Today I feel a little more energetic probably because I had so much sleep  I'm still waiting to bloat and feel sore. So far I feel pretty good. I have an U/S tomorrow, I can't wait to find out how I'm doing.

Ems, The menopur is kind of a hassle. I have to take 2 powder ampules, 4 must be quite a process. We always have a tiny bit of liquid left in the ampule, I don't think there's anyway to get it all out, we've tried. DH has been doing it for me, he's better at it i think. I tried it once and DH didn't like the way I did it, I guess I had too much air in it or something. I think it just takes a little practice. I'm sure you'll do fine as it goes along. :)

Hi my dear friends….

How are u doing? I MISS U SO MUCH. Sorry I didn't posting. Don't worry I don't sneak this time :D I've been aboard for 5 days. I spent time with my cousins and my husband (Yes He came). We signed the paper 2 days ago. I had so much fun. I met my old friends; he and his wife showed me different side of Singapore. I love it very much. I really enjoy my time here. I prayed that my AF will come exactly on 17th. I prayed it won't be late for 2 weeks like last month. I have to spend my money. And Thanks God, AF came exactly on 17th means today at 12 am :D . I was so happy, screamed at airport toilet. My cousin thought I slipped on wet floor. :D :D We were on airport to say goodbye for my DH. DH was also happy. He said he wanted me to see Justin tonight.

How are u doing? I hope you are fine. Pray BFP for all of you. Sorry I can't read all post today. I have to find ticket to go home. My appointment is tomorrow at 9am. Wish me luck.

What should I say on my ticker now?

Thinking and praying to all of u.

Luv n Miss u very very much,
Jemma

Hopeful, thanks for the advice - you've put my mind at rest a little by saying its almost impossible to get the last dribble of liquid out :) Can you tell me, when you draw up the mixture do you leave the bottle standing on a surface or tip it upside down? I ended up with a big air bubble in the syringe which DH managed to get rid of. I am so worried about doing it wrong - what a worry wart!!!
