Sac but unable to see anything else at 6 weeks?????

Just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same as me. I had my scan today which is 6 weeks and they were able to see a Sac but the rest was too blurred to see anything else. There was two doctors that looked at it and they both said the same. They say that it is common not to see a heart beat but they should be able to see structures in the sac. They said the sac was the right size for my stage just over 13mm.

I am scared that i have a blighted ovum. Which will mean no baby ever developing.

I have to go back on Tue for another scan.

Has anyone else not been able to see anything at 6 weeks??? and if so what happened????????

Hi Susan

I did reply on the other thread but mine was exactly the same. I had a scan at 6 weeks and all they saw was a sac and a sac measuring 5 weeks! I had to go back a week later and there was the heartbeat and the sac was the size it should be for my dates. It was a really long week.

There's a thread on the general board, I think it's Reiley's who had the same the other day. I don't know how she got on but if you read the posts there were quite a few people it happened to all with the same outcome a week later - the heartbeat!

I had my scan at 42 days( was scheduled at 7w, but advanced to 6w due to brown discharge) and was told that they couldn't see the heatbeat..
needless to say i was on pins and needles until my next scan at 7 w- they found a heartbeat..
I will keep everything crossed for you..

I know I'm bouncing around threads. I see that you are 6 weeks and 3 days today. I measured at 6w4d at my scan on friday, so maybe thats a good omen for you too. Good luck tomorrow!!

Again i am so pleased for you it must of been such a relief!!! I want to shot insensitive doctors and ban early scans!!!!!

Well worst has been confirmed. They can only see the sac and it is not of round shape!!!! They say it will not be a viable pregnancy and i will M/c very soon. they took my bloods to confirm that my HGC levels will be coming down. They were 7287 and they are expecting them to be a lot lower now.
