Hi, I am new to all of this too!!, I am starting my first IVF with ICSI, I am on BCP's now, starting Lupron on Sunday......very anxious!!!!!. still so much ahead!!.
Me and my hubby want so bad to become pregnant!!!

Hope this works!!
I would be starting stims beggining of November, and probably ET mid November....

Hello Everyone,
I have been looking for people to share my 1st IVF experience with...My DH and I are both 35, my husband has very extremely LOW sperm count, so our only option is IVF. I start Lupron inj. on Saturday, and have been taking my BCPs since October 1st.
Scheduled to start stims Follitism Oct. 28th, possible ER on Nov. 8th.
I am quite nervous about everything.
I am undergoing treatment in Miami, Florida.
Hope we share a GOOD experience, and lots of luck to all of you!!!

Welcome Karla & Vicky... I am glad you found us... Most of us seem to be pertty close on our cycles... I started Lupron yesterday & stims will start ..... ummmmm 10/22 and ER & ET the first week in Nov... I am on IVF # 2.. you will both be very surprised how fast tiem will go now.. Just try not to get too worried about everything...

Kristin.. woohooo sounds like everything went well... I never has a test ET... but I am sure it was much like the reg ET.. (but without the babies.. lol)

Hi Karla,
I'm in Florida too, and my husband also has extremely low sperm count. Do you live in Florida or just doing the treatment here?

Karla, I am in Florida too, I am in Fort Lauderdale, so we are pretty close apparently!!.

Kristin, I had my trial transfer too about 2-3 weeks ago, but I did not like that doctor very much, he is part of the group I go to, I hope he is not on call when I have my real ET!!

......sorry to say that, but he was not kind at all.......
How was your experience??, I had 2 IUI's already and none of them hurt, but the trial was not as good......maybe the nurses that did my IUI's were more kind than that doctor...

I read just recently that hot climate has an affect on sperm count. That's why male infertility is very common in Florida. I always wondered, how come we have so many fertility clinics here ....

Yes that is true, heat does affect sperm count, but I am not sure wheter climate would affect it, otherwise all Florida would be doing IVF

!! LOL......in my case my DH had varicocele since a young age, undetected, and then when they diagnosed it one year ago he had surgery, it improved a little bit, but not enough for us to conceive naturally

Everyone is here for you to share your highs and lows.
I started my downregging on 10th Oct and i guess i will start stimming around 20th? I have to wait for my AF and call doctor to find out when i can start stimming. My DP has low sperm mobility and so we are having ICIS, i also have him taking a vitamin suppliment called wellman to boost his sperm.
This whole process is very emotional and stressful but being able to talk to others who know how you feel really helps.

Hi Vicky
The wellman suppliment is an over the counter vitamins( i get them in the uk) They contain Zinc, l-carnitine and a load of other vitamins and minerals. It is a complete suppliment for overall male fitness. I got them him when i read on here that other people's sperm had increased after using them. He has only been on them for a short while so not sure if they have worked for him yet. But hey we will try anything.

My husband had varicocele too, plus other issues.
I bought him Multi-vitamins for men by Solgar. I don't know if they help or not because he has been taking them for about 2.5 months. The first results should be after 3 months.
I hope we all will get BFP!

At first I was giving my DH my prenatal vitamins, LOL

, but I was not sure if vitamins really have any effect on sperm or not, so we quit on that.....

Hi guys,
I have been lurking on the oct buudies board, but feel I wanted to post here as well as it seems more of you will be having treatment around the same time as me. I had baseline scan yesterday and start down regging injections tomorrow morning. EC is hopefully Nov 15th.
This is our 2nd cycle with our forst resulting in our very precious daughter who is now 20 months. Praying that we will be lucky again but already feel that we are pushing it!
