Hi, we have been trying for a baby for nearly 4 years now and are getting nowhere. As we have a child already we have been unable to access any treatment through the NHS except to be advised that IVF is really our only option now. We are reluctant to take on debt with a child already so have been searching for anything else to help.



Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Riz,

Sorry u have to be going thru this. I too already have children, and have been thru one process of IVF which failed.

A new law came out here back in Setember (I live in Northern Ireland) that allows couples like us to have ONE treatment of IVF on the NHS, i have already been to my DR about it, and she is refering me to the NHS clinic - and while i am on that list, we are trying agian in the new year privatley.
Maybe u should take a visit to ur DR and ask about this - where do u live??

Hi Riz

Sorry to hear what your going through. I do agree with Welshgirl that you should consult your Dr. I have had one attempt at IVF which was funded by NHS (Im from UK) my send treatment was FET funded by myself. I was only allowed one chance on the NHS. I didn't like my clinic one bit. Im going for full IVF/ICIS in new year with a brand new private clinic.
Do waste time make an appointment with your DR.
