Multiples HGC levels?

Post by Lucyluna »

Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been reading your posts for awhile. It has been so comforting for me to read that you all are going through the same things as me!

Aug. 26th I got my BFP and we are thrilled. We transferred 2 embies and on 14dpd3t, we got our positive test. My numbers were considered high, but I am aware that the levels don't always tell if you are having multiples. My level was 671 on day 14 after transfer, then day 16 it was 1526, and day 18 it was 3125.

Could those of you who know they are having twins and triplets let us know what you first 2 or 3 HCG levels were? Thanks, and I look forward to getting to know you all. Congrats on your pregnancies!

Hello! I trasferred 3 grade A, 8 cell embryos. My first level was check on 16dp3dt. It was 1200. Because it was so high they never checked it again. Two weeks & 4 days later they did my first scan and we found out it was twins.

Congrats on your BFP!!! I remember very well that period between checking your levels & your first scan and wondering how many embryos implanted. For me I wondered if it was 1, 2 or 3. I couldn't be happier with 2!

Good luck to you!

I had 2 grade A-, 4 cell embies transferred. My level was 970 at 14dp2dt and 2750 at 16dpt. We saw their heartbeats at our 8 week scan.

Sounds like twins could be a possibility for you, or a really strong single. Either way, CONGRATULATIONS>

Thanks for your help ladies. Unfortunately I have to wait until Sept. 21st for my first scan and it is killer! I have noticed that others have asked questions about their numbers and if others thought they were twins, etc. But, I have never seen a post for ladies in waiting :D like me to actually know what the real numbers were for those expecting multiples!

Best wishes on your pregnancies, and thanks again.

Lucy,

Unfortunately the HCG levels are not telling though

My first HCG was 187 at 14dpo
My second HCG was 439 at 16dpo
My third HCG was 6068 at 23 dpo

I had 2 embryos put back and I was originally pregnant with triplets!

Wow! I know the numbers don't tell all, I have just seen several posts where women are waiting and wondering. I thought that if some of you having more than one could share your numbers, it would be interesting to see any patterns.

Congrats to you and thanks for sharing your numbers!

Thanks Vita, Congratulations to you too! I don't care if there is one or two in there, just as long as it is healthy!

I'm waiting and wondering about multiples as well. I was having OHSS symptoms so they checked my hcg at just 7dpt and it was 246. At 12dpt it was 1409.

I had two blasts transferred on day 5, so we're hoping it's "only" two! Yikes!

Since we don't have twins in our families, doesn't that mean that the chances of one of those splitting is much lower?
Me=32, DH=31
First IVF attempt (drug study),
Day 5 Transfer of 2 blasts
10/16=BFP!
11/13=TWINS!

actually Brit

Identical twins ( when the egg splits ) dont run in families. Frat twins ( where two eggs are released ) are meant too. So everyone has the same chance of ID twins
