Snacking during the 2ww

Post by suzhan »

So....all you ladies out there in the 2ww (now or in the past), are you finding yourselves starved and wanting to eat every few hours? I can hardly make it between meals without something else. I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for healthy snacks?

I know I'll regret it if I end up eating crackers, popcorn and chips constantly but I'm out of creative ideas. How many apples can one person eat?

And, please tell me I'm not the only one who is starving....Is it the PIO or just nervous energy?...I like to think it's my hungry little embies using up all kinds of energy. Image

Hey Suzhan,

I never had this problem during my 2ww, but we are all different! I did have chocolate craving, which is very unusual for me as I am not a chocolate fan...

So the apple can get boring I understand, but why dont you try all the different other fruits? The natural sweetness in them might do the trick, and will be definitely more healthy than popcorn!
If you like veg and prefer salty thing, 1 thing I love is raw carrots, and if you find them dull, they are lovely slightly marinated in a bit of lemon and salt.

I cant think of anything else for now, but I hope it helped

Good luck!

Hi Suzhan - I'm officially joining you on the 2ww - had 2 little embies put back today - and we still have 3 left which I'm very happy about. :D Can't offer any advice as I am always snacking! But I try to eat small meals - little and often is my moto - how about toast, brown bread and vegemite or whatever the US equivalent is -marmite? ANother of my favourites is advocado and crackers. Keep in touch . A

Souris - Thanks for the suggestions - I needed some variety! I'll try the lemon/salt trick, since that's more what I seem to be craving, great idea!

Angie - Welcome to the 2ww and congrat's on your successful thaw/transfer! Great news! We don't have vegamite here in the states, in fact, I don't really know what it is - do tell? When do you test? Hope you can get some rest in the next few days.

Take care,

I'm on my 2ww and i'm the complete opposite, i've lost my appetite, which isn't a bad thing i can do with losing a few lbs...lol

Veggiemite, marmite is a yeast extract it is very good for you, full of folic acid, unfortunately i have found they don't do it over here, i am on a 3 year tour in ohio and i have to have family and friends ship it over for me.

You either love it or hate it....

Try nuts if your not allergic, almonds are very good for you, well they all are.....
About a handful, they are full of protein which is what you need at the moment to help with embies growth and they are also filling.

Infact any sort of protein should fill the holes. infact what about trail mix....

Ooooo....great suggestions, ladies. Trail mixes/nuts sound great. Rachel - I'm jealous - I wish I'd lost my appetite - I seriously seem to be hungry every 2-3 hours, so I'm trying the 'small, frequent meals' thing (sometimes more successfully than other times when it turns into 'big, frequent meals  ')

Vicky - so, how can you eat all the jello you want? Doesn't it have too much sugar? I actually love Jello and had forgotten all about it. I'll have to pick some up at the market.

Thanks again - great ideas!
