Pains

Hi everyone Can anyone help? I test tomorrow but have had bad pain since last night, it doesn't feel like a period pain more like the pains I had after the egg retrival, and its just in one side, has anyone else had anything like this. I also have severe endometriosis which I feel accounts for most of weird things that happen in my belly, probably this as well. Had to phone in to work and take a holiday, they don't know I had IVF they think it was treatment for my endo that I was having which is suppose in a way it is. I know the ivf and my health comes first but I hate taking unplanned time off work especially when I need to go off sick when I have my period quite a lot. Even if the pains nothing to worry about I just feel better at home with my feet up than rushing to the loo every five minutes at work to see if my period has started, especially when I'll find out one way or another tomorrow. Sorry for the rant. Wendy

I think pains are a good sign Lots of the + girls have had pains so PMA PMA PMA rich coming from me at the mo , I could depress an ant right now!!!!

Hi Wendy Ihave right sided pain quite often and have been told by the Doc that it is possibly the bowel being sluggish, this is a common problem with Endo (which I have as well) so I wouldn't worry. One thing I would like to ask is if you have had treatment before, and has this made your periods worse?? I have fingers and toes crossed for you! Big hugs Aly x

Thanks Traci I just get a bit panicy sometimes and as much as the husbands are supportive its just nice to chat to someone who fully understands. I'm sure you will be fine, from what I've read on here you seem to be a really positive person so keep it up, your heading into the final bit. Maybe we will both be third time lucky. Wendy

Hi Aly Thanks for the message. I've had treatment twice and no it hasn't made my periods worse, they just seem to get worse over time, if anything the down reg bit makes them a wee bit better for a while. I just don't have many periods, i generally take the pill for 3-6 packets in a row, enough to stop my period but I forget the odd one or two just in case. It just seems a bit weird to take a contraceptive but be trying to get pg but theres not much chance of that without IVF and I can't cope with the period pain. Wendy, Don't know if this is any help but when I get pains like this I tend to think that it is my ovaries getting back to normal after EC, it can take a long time. Rach X.

Hi Wendy .... just to let you know that I had very sharp needle-like pains the night B4 I tested (and got a positive). At the time I thought it was pains in he ovary prior to AF starting. They were short-lived but very painful and stabbing and on one side. Best of Luck. Jo. XX

Hi Wendy thanks for the reply, the Endo is mild but the Doc reckons that I have some patches which can't be seen on my bladder and in my ovary. I get severe cystitis around my period and have extreme pain during the first 2 days of bleeding. This is bad enough that I have to take Volterol all the time. I cannot take the pill as it makes things worse have tried injections but that only worked for a few years. I'm having egg donation next year and if that fails I will have a hysterectomy. I have had one positive a year ago but M/C early on, so there is hope! Anyway hope your OK don't worry about the pains they are fine good luck for tomorrow. thinking of you Aly xx

Hi Wendy I am also having some pain. I also have endo and always sleep on my stomach but the last 3 nights haven't been able to stand it. My tummy looks massive and feels like it is going to explode. However, my af cramps are coming and going. Can't remember what i felt like last time, keep meaning to write it all down in my diary (that would be a good read if I lost it!!!) Hi Lisa My pains keep coming and going as well. Keep going to the loo to check that my period hasn't started. Will be glad to go and get my test done in the morning, if still no period by then then I'll be convinced its worked. How are you doin? Fingers crossed for both of us. Wendy
