Hi everyone.... a question...?

Post by helenlouise »

Hi all,
I've just found this board whilst doing a general search for side effects of Gonal F. Nice to find a place to chat and post with others going through the same.

I began my injections of 225 units Gonal F on 11th Nov. Yesterday my consultant reduced the dose to 150 units as my follicles were growing too quickly and I had around 20.I am having another scan tomorrow (wed) with egg collection on Monday or possibly this Friday.

My question is this. I have been feeling really woozy for the last few days, but especially today. Apart from a very bloated and uncomfortable abdomen I feel as if I've drunk a glass of wine too much and have a woozy, light headed feeling. Just wondered whether this is a common side effect for people?

Hope to catch up with news on this site and make regular postings. Nice to know others are there.

helen

Hi and thanks. I went for another scan tody and have around 27 follicles growing for a collection on Monday probably. I said about the wooozy ness, but the nurse said it just affects everyone differently. I feel a bit foolish today as I cried at work and left and said I won't be going back until next week. I feel slightly guilty about leaving people in the lurch, but whats the point in being there if I feel tearful and woozy?! Not sure why i even feel tearful because I am very positive, but I guess its just the hormones.

helen

Hiya Helen,
DON'T feel guilty about work. You are in the middle of probably the most important time of your life so far and if that doesn't warrant some time to yourself then I don't know what does.
You need to think of yourself and take some time out - work will get along just fine, it's not important.
And don't feel foolish about crying either, your hormones are in turmoil at a time like this!
You take good care of yourself and look after number one!
Good luck on Monday
Love claire x
