ivf with donor eggs overseas

Post by adrecoff »

Hi I'm new to ivf. I will we having ivf in the czech republic in September and I'm really nervous about it. I will be using donor eggs because I'm 40 and my fsh level is high also we have tried iui's and they didn'd work. Just wondering if anyone has had ivf/w donor eggs outside the usa. Also if they have did it work the 1st time or did it take more than once. We would be doing this in the states but it is so expensive. Would like other's input this who has more experience.

Hi
There have been a number of succesful pregnancies here lately with donor eggs in Europe. If you come over to the 'over 40 crowd ' thread on the general forum you will find people with experience of ISIDA in Kiev and IM in Barcelona. I went to IM and did get pg but sadly lost it early on.
In the UK we have long waiting lists for donor eggs so people often use European clinics. I don't know of anyone who has been to the Czech Republic for tmt but you could look them up on the internet for some info before you go.
Good luck with your treatment.
Kat xx

Thanks for your advice. I did look up the clinic that I'm going to in
september and they seem to have had a lot of success. Hopefully everything will work out. They said they will have a donor for me by july for my ivf in Sept. Thanks for your advice about the over 40 Thread on the general forum. I am new to this website also Ivf any info is greatly appreciated.

I think you shoudl stay positive about egg donor overseas. My friend had twins on her first IVF in Brazil. She went there all the way from
England. Clinics overseas are competing with better prices and they are getting very organized in terms of supervising each other for quality (they have associations and you may want to check if the one you are going to belongs to some sort of overseeing group. The Brazlian ones are credentialized by the South America association...something I fogot...of Fertility. You may also check the professional training of the doctors via entering the websites of the places they were trained. I did that for my doctor.
Good luck!
