Don't belong here but just have a quick question....

Post by hellokitty »

Ladies,

I hope you don't mind me popping over here but I was hoping someone here could help me with a quick question.

I have been recently diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder after my m/c (lst attempt with IVF). On my next attempt I will be adding heparin injections. I haven't seen this problem on the board alot and I was wondering if anyone still got a BFP while taking heparin (or any other blood thinner). I'm also dealing with a very bad case of PCOS.

Any info would be helpful. Congratulations to all!

Thanks

Hello Kitty! I am sorry I don't know anyone who has had this problem and done IVF, but I do know someone that had the problem, took the shots and conceived naturally. I guess what I am saying is that it is a definite possibility you could still get your BFP. Good luck to you!

Lucyluna,

Wow that's awesome. Thanks for the information. Just knowing that heparin does work and I'm not just becoming more of a pin cushion from another injection! :)

Thanks again,

Good luck to you. I am sure your doctor wouldn't let you do it if there wasn't a decent chance. I know you will have to be monitored more and you will have more pokes than you would like. It will be worth it though!

Best Wishes!

I worked with a woman who had no problem conceiving but had multiple miscarriages and could never carry past the first trimester. She was finally diagnosed with a clotting disorder, which was causing the m/c's. She started taking heparin and went on to have a healthy baby boy.

Good luck with your next try!

LauraLou,

I remember you...OMG you are a great inspiration to us all :D . I'm glad to see your pregnancy is going so well.

That is exactly what happened to me...2 m/c in the first trimester. So, this really gives me hope.

Thanks for responding,
