first ivf pregnant need reasurance please

hiya this was my first ivf and im soo blessed it worked first time ive got my ultasound at 4 weeks april 18th is this too early ?

.but i cant help worrying need reasurance xx

I think that it is very early to see anything more than the sac(s). I suppose at least they will be able to confirm that the sac is in the right place (not in the fallopian). Don't fret too much, everything will be fine.

Yes 4 weeks is very early. I went in and they confirmed that my sac was implanted in the uterus, however, at this time they could not even see the yolk sac within. We went at 5w2d and the yolk sac was then present. Tomorrow I will be 6w5d and we will be looking for a heartbeat.

Oh also, at 4 weeks you will be able to see if there is 1 or 2 embryos implanted.

Just stay calm and let things come to you as they do. At least this is what my thoughts are, I'm trying to just stay positive every day!

Wow! yeah, 4 weeks is pretty early! That's good that you are getting so many scans though to make sure everything's ok.

I got my first ultrasound done at 7 weeks and am now 10 weeks and don't know when I'll have a next one. I have my first OB appt this Wed so I'll make sure and ask then.

thanks everyone for your replys but i think im confused with my dates i think ill be 6 weeks on april 18th when i have scan .my transfer was march 17th this is confusing how do we work it out lol

Hi Chvonne!

You are correct, at the first ultrasound you will be SIX weeks. They date back to your last period, not to the transfer.

How are you doing?? I'm a NERVOUS WRECK! I am so happy that we got our BFP but now waiting to see that everything is alright on the ultrasound is really hard because of course my mind is spinning.

Do you have any symptoms? I've been tired and the past few days a little queasy but that's about it. My DH keeps saying he wished my belly would get big so we knew that our little ones were growing in there. I told him if I was already big that by my due date I would be a house!

Maybe we can keep each other sane while we wait for our scans. I'm sure we will both get wonderful news. It's just hard to wait even more than we already have!!

hiya steph yeah im also a nervous wreck cant wait till 18th for scan ill feel much better then ill be 6 weeks 6 days on day of scan.whens yours?? ive finally worked it out

im still feeling sicky ,gone off certain foods already

also got a massive appetite.still bloated due to the ohss and really breathless hope it eases up soon.my dh is also very impatient he,s saying hope its twins as they will be here a few weeks earlier

Hi! My scan is the 12th so just one more week to go!

I am so anxious to know everything is alright that I called my clinic and asked if I could come in for another blood test to make sure my levels are still rising appropriately! They said my first two tests looked great and it wasn't neccesary but if it made me feel better I was more than welcome to come on in.

So I went in this morning and should have the results by the end of the day. I know I'm being paranoid

but I think it will just give me that extra reassurance until the scan.

My DH is also praying for twins. I'd love that too but of course I will be thrilled as long as we have one healthy little baby growing in there. I can't wait to find out!!!!!

Feeling a little queasy and tired today. Must be the twins acting up

Hello my cycle buddies how are you all its so strange being on this page now. I actually had an early emegy scan and we saw one heartbeat and another sac not sure if that one will make it if you go back to the march cycle page it explains what happend it was preety scary. I have my next scan on the 10th april im 6 weeks today my M/S has really kicked in over the last 3 days and don't get me started on my boobs!

I am sorry to hear you had a scare! I have been on vacation for the past week and haven't gotten on to the March thread to get caught up. My DH is out of town tonight so I intend to settle myself in front of teh computer and read everythign I missed!

Congrats on seeing a heat beat. That's so amazing. I cannot wait!!!! I haven't had m/s yet, just a little queasy. Hopefully I don't get it too bad but I've sworn no matter what I'm not complaining because I'm just so happ to be pregnant!

Oh, and I got a call back from my clinic about my 3rd blood test. They wanted me to be around 4,000 and I was at 6,896!! So I'm excited!

hiya steph im also really worried and youve given me ideas now i might ring clinic as i only had one blood test and they dont do levels in my clinic they had a test that only picks up pregnancy hormone over a certain amount.i wonder if hospital will do it for me? although im quite confident as my pregnancy symptons are getting worse everyday my boobs are sooooooo sore.your levels are looking great

mrs b sorry to hear about you trouble but congratulations on your scan thats wonderful news must be amazing seeing that heartbeat ive got mine april 18th im 5 weeks exactly today.

hiya i had my scan yesterday saw one heartbeat it was amazing im 7 weeks now feeling really well apart from nausea on and off feel much better now ive had scan cant wait till next one will it be 12 weeks?have to continue pessaries till 12 weeks which im pleased about as ive heard of some clinics stopping them at 10 weeks.

Congrats on a successful scan yesterday Chvonne!! Isn't it amazing? I have my second scan a week from today and I can't wait. I thought I would stop worrying after the first one but I still just worry that everything is ok "in there". Hopefully once I hit the 12 week mark I will relax a bit!
