Hi.

I've just had my laporoscopy + hysteroscopy performed in mid-Dec 03. Uterine polyps + mild endo was removed.

Anyone out there can share with me, how long after the above procedures had been performed, were you allowed to begin your next IVF cycle?

Rgds,
Friend
Hi Friend

I had a lap done in March and started treatment in May. My consultant said I could have started treatment on the cycle after the op, but I waited due to holiday committments etc.

I am now 6 months pregnant, following the tubal surgery, so couldn't be happier!

Wishing you a very successful 2004!

D x
Me 34, DH, 37. Married for 11 years, ttc for 6+, failed 4 x fresh IVF tmts. 5th attempt at Lister Hospital gave us Megan on 5 April 2004 with a very straightforward pregnancy and labour. Attempt number 6 to start hopefully September 2007!
Hi Dawn,

Thx. My RE is saying the same thing too - that I can begin my IVF on the next cycle itself. Prob is, DH also had his varicoceles surgery in Nov-03 + I've read that it takes 3 mths for a fresh batch of sperm to be produced.

I'm not sure if my decision on the month to begin IVF will have any impact on the outcome.......

Friend.
Hi there,

My husband had the same thing done and was also told three months. It was amazing that the results after 3 months were significantly better and he was easily in the 'normal' category. We didn't start IVF immediately, but for other reasons - good luck with what ever you decide, but if you're not sure, don't rush.

Zoe x
