I am not sure on the different due dates. I can tell you mine was right on what the IVF doc said and my ultrasounds..which I have had ever 2 weeks.
Best of Luck...If I hear any different I will let you know.

I think it depends on when the embryos implanted...So maybe you were just a really late implanter? My situation is a little different since mine was a natural conception, but my due date was off what the original dates indicated--we had to push back one week based on ultra sounds. So I think it does happen. The important thing is that the baby grows appropriately in between each ultra sound! Try not to worry too much (I know, that's much easier said than done!)
maybe one is going by the fetal age, which is always 2 weeks less then the pregnancy age.... so featl age could be 5 weeks, but the pregnancy is considered 7 weeks..
It sounds like the embryo's have just implanted late or are a little slow in developing.....which is not bad, as long as they continue to grow steadily from here. What the sonographer should have said is that you will take your due date based on the ultrasound measurements as that is the best indication as to how the baby is progressing.
Best of luck.

When I had my 12 weeks u/s the sonographer put me at 6 days ahead of what I had calculated. I knew her date couldn't be right since that would have meant that I had become pregnant even before I had iui!! And as dh has no sperm and bloods showed I hadn't ovulated I knew she was wrong! I found her really unhelpful so I spoke to the midwife who told me research now shows that IVF dates are more accurate than u/s. However she did say that the baby's position during u/s can affect the date given so you always have to add or subtrace 5/6 days from the date they give you. This might explain some of the difference? Once you get to 12 weeks it will be much more accurate so don't worry, everything will be fine xxx

I was told that my due date is 38 weeks from the egg retrieval date (with IVF, not IUI obviously). The normal gestational date is based on the day you got your last period (when not using fertility treatments). I've had several u/s with this pregnancy and both babies have measured approximately the same date as what I think I am (based on my ET date, plus two weeks added to that for the two weeks prior to my ET since I had ovulated). Confusing, I know. So basically, when I turned 13 weeks (11 weeks from the day of ET), I had an u/s the day before and both babies measured just around 13 weeks +/- a day or two.
There is so much different information out there and it seems even RE's opinions are different. I hope your baby is fine - keep us posted.
