Prego about 6 weeks and bloated!

Post by Faithinababy »

Hello everyone, I am so excited because we got prego with our first baby on the very first try of IVF. I have a moderate case of OHSS and very bloated with back pain. I have been feeling a little sick to my stomache at times and some smells can make me sick. I am so scared and can't believe that we are finally having a baby our first u/s is till July 23 and that is making it even more nerve wrecking. Our any of you bloated due to the OHSS and how are all of you dealing with that. There are also some days that I wake up and just feel so sad and start crying and that is worring me. Have any of you felt like that too? My husband says I need to go back to work and get my mind busy. I have been of work a little over a month and I am not really looking foward to going back. I just very scared not to hear a heartbeat or that something is wrong. I guess us woman who are or have gone thru IVF or any infertiltiy treatment worry more. I don't ever remember my sister feeling this way when she had her children but she also was able to get prego naturally. Any advice anyone it would be great to talk to some of you.

Hilda~

Congrats on being pg!!!! It's such a great feeling to get the BFP!!
Don't worry about anything you are feeling. Hormones are a ragin'!!! I didn't really go through that but I hear a lot of women do. I did have to do the double check and say to myself "Are we sure we wanted to get pregnant?" Then I snapped out of it and just did what comes naturally. . .worry! :D

I think we do worry more and that's alright. We also aren't kids making mistakes and these babies are truly planned and wanted to the max! It's a lot to take in and just let it ease in slowly. I also had OHSS and felt very bloated. Mine lasted about 12 weeks and gave me horrid insomnia! All worth every minute of staring at the ceiling. You'll get to your u/s and then worry about the next step but isn't it great to get to worry?

Just try to relax and enjoy it. Work may be better for you than you think right now. It goes by so fast!

Take care and congratulations!!!

Kimberly -

Thank you soo much. I actually does feel good to worry that just means we are finally going to be parents. I know what you mean with the insomnia I am going thru that right now and it is horrible but it's all worth it. I have heard about many woman with OHSS and most of them say they felt better within 12 weeks. I am just a mess right now with all the hormones and I am also still having to inject progesterone and that's just not helping but I am soo happy that I am finally going to be a mommy. I guess there are just times where we all will need to talk to someone who understands everything we are going thru. It makes it very difficult to sit down with mom, sis, freinds, etc and try to tell them everything I am feeling but they will never understand because they did not go thru IVF. I am glad for having you and all the future mommies to talk to. Kimblerly I will pray that everything goes well for you. Thank you so much for your support.
