I just got a BFP yesterday, but the nurse said I need to be causiously optimistic. My Beta was only 17. I was 12dp3dt when I took the test (well, really a little less than that). I have to go back Sat morning to see if it doubles. She said she's seen some women have a low Beta then have a normal baby and she's seen some that don't make it. Just wanted to get some feedback from you guys.
Diane~
If it makes you feel better, My 14dp3dt was only 62. I never knew at the time that that was remotely low. I was just thrilled I had a beta number. Then it turned out to be healthy twins! My 12dp3dt had to be only slightly higher than your number so don't give up hope. Someone posted on here once that a pg resulted from a beta of 3! Keep positive and let us know how it's all going.
In the mean time, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You are pg!!!!!! WHOOHOOO! Take care~

Kimberly...thanks for sharing your stats and for the good wishes! I only had one embryo transferred, so i think my number for tomorrow will be lower than your 62. Hopefully it will be somewhere around 30ish....I will post my result tomorrow. Thanks again!
Hi all...just an update. My beta for today was 34, not exactly double from two days ago (it was 19 two days ago, I was wrong when I said it was 17). I have to go back on Monday for another beta. I'm not feeling too good about it though because today I have had a sustained cramping different from the cramps during the 2ww and I have had bleeding from last night around midnight to now, although it is tapering off. They said that could be my uterus trying to expell the embryo (ie, miscarriage) and that it is unlikely this will result in a good pregnancy....but, we have to wait until Monday to see what the numbers do. This ride is a beast!!!!!
Well, today my Beta went to 83, more than double. So, my numbers have been 19, 34, 83. They are low, but are doubling. I had significant cramping yesterday accompanied with red bleeding. The doctor told me to take two asprin and see if the pain subsided, and if it didn't then I needed to call him. Well the pain subsided and I had minor cramping the rest of the day. So, today, I am still bleeding, having minor cramping, but have noticed that I have a lower back ache and also sometimes the ache goes down my left leg. They said not to worry about that. They also said it's too early for this to be an emergency if the pregnancy is ectopic.
So, now I have to wait a FULL WEEK to take my next Beta. This is going to be a long week. I have read where some ladies went through this with good outcomes and some with bad outcomes. I guess I was surprized that the number more than doubled...I thought with all that cramping and bleeding that that was it!
Anyway, just wanted to give the update. I find it invaluable to have these posts. I searched based on what is going on with me and it actually found my post!!! I'm hoping for the best, but they say I need to be cautiously optimistic!
Positive news Diane! Just keep your chin up and try have your best PMA! We are all praying for you and hoping your little one makes it. Talk to your little one and just take it easy. Report back as soon as you know anything!
Take care and let DH take care of you!
Fingers crossed~

Just getting back to you with my good news...my beta today was 773 !!! So, it's been doubling normally since last week. The doctor and nurse are still telling me to be cautiously optimistic since my beta was low to start. They are concerned about ectopic....so, we'll see. I have to watch for the signs (they said severe pain/cramping in abdomen and shooting pain up to shoulder) I have my first US with a beta scheduled for next Wed...so more waiting!!! What did you see at your first US?
For those of you who asked about having only 1 embryo....I only transferred 1 embryo and it was good, but not the best quality. I'm certainly not out of the woods, but I am proof that one can work.
Good luck to all TTC!!!! and All the Best to those in early pregnancy!!
Kim and MamaSoon....just wanted to give you an update. I am sad to report that I had a miscarriage, sometime around 6-7 weeks. I had my US today and they didn't see anything. My beta was 14 today from 773 last Monday. I guess I fell into the less fortunate 50% or so of people who had bleeding/spotting/cramping during their early weeks. I have an appt on Sept 6 with my RE to talk about the next step. Thanks for your posts and all the best to you gals!
oh Diane, I am so sorry.. I was reading you post and I was like thanks god.. Then I got to your last one.. I am so sorry... Goodluck on your next stage..
