Good Morning Girls....

Colleen - yeah I can't wait to get all her pictures done too... however, I think our next picture will be at X-Mas time (a family photo)... she's be a little over 6 months, but no biggie. Yes Aubrey was born with red hair, but it has started to turn blonde... my DH was born with red hair and now we both have blonde hair. Yes her diaper rash is looking 80% better now... I actually started using her trush medicine the doctor gave me a few weeks back for her butt and it seems to be doing the job. We'll see how long this lasts... I also switched diapers & wipes so we'll see if that helps also.

Rachael- yes Aubrey is getting so big.... but I just love it. Well that picture sounds like it will be so adorable of the kids.... very creative.

CasyP- he is so adorable.... getting so big already!

Well sorry if I missed anyone... back to work for me!

I wish you all a great day...

Tasha

Hi Everyone,

I have a few minutes while Lily takes a very rare nap. I hope everyone is doing well. I posted some pictures of Lily on Photobucket. I took about 100 pictures today to get just a few good ones. I tried to get her to wear a dress but she hates them. She just screams everytime I try to dress her up so she is in her "play" clothes in all her pictures.

Kim - I just saw the babies on Photobucket. They are so adorable and so big already. How is the feeding going? Better I hope. Could she be teething?

Colleen - Thanks for the advise on the Formula. I will sign up for the coupons ASAP. How is Gavin doing?

Tasha - Oh my goodness. She is so beautiful. Those are georgous pictures. I have not gotten professional pictures yet but I was planning on doing them for Christmas. JC Penny's sounds like they have the best deal and I'm going to go look for those coupons.

Casey - Your little angel is soooo very cute. Who do you think he looks like? How is the sleeping going. I can't believe he slept from 11 to 5 that is fantastic, especially at his age. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it continues.

Oh, Lily is beginning to stir. I'm gonna run. I'll check back in later.
xoxo

Hi everyone
At last i have had the oppotunity to say hello. I haven't been able to catch up on the posts but hope all is well with everyone. I have looked at photobucket and all the children are beautiful i will try and post a picture of Isabella today. She is getting so big she is now 8 weeks old and has outgrown all her 0-3 month clothes and can't lie out flat in her baby bath anymore because she is so long. She is now 11.5 lbs and 60cms long. We have a routine for the morning but come the afternoon it all goes wrong and she wont sleep without being in my arms. She also has started wanting more milk when she is awake nearly every hour so i am thinking she might need to have a top up and introduce a bottle once a day. The most she has slept is 6 hrs but this was only once the majority of the time it is 3 hrs. Any tips on introducing formula?
Anyway i am going to read through all your posts and try and catch up with you all.

Nance - Lily is so sweet.... she's just precious. She looks like a very happy baby!

Ellie- it's so good to hear from you.... well my situation was different - Aubrey never latched on so she was bottle fed the whole time - maybe some of the other girls can help you.

Nicola- it's also good to hear from you... yes time sure does fly by... I can't believe Jack is 7 weeks already.

Well sorry so short - work is crazy busy. I'll try and check back in later today.

Hi Ladies!!!

I check out some of the photos last night and all of your babies are so cute!!! I could just eat them up!!!!

So glad you are all doing well and that you little ones are keeping you all busy!!!

As for us, it shouldn't be long before we bring Jaden home. Our wonderful US embassy now requires a 2nd DNA test before they will issue your visa appointment so that you can take them home. Our 2nd DNA was taken on Friday and I hope that Labcorp gets it today or tomorrow. It has been taking about 2 wk from the time it is taken to get back to the embassy. Once the embassy gets the results they will issue our appt date!!!

So, hopefully we will be traveling within the next 2-3 weeks!!!! I can't wait!!!!!

Lots of love and prayers to you all! Take care!!!

hi there all-

glad to hear from everyone, and that everyone is doing well...

jeck-awesome news... so glad to hear that your son is coming home soon... i'll pray that the dna test gets there so fast, and you can be on your way...

tasha- i tought of you when i picked up Gavins halloween costume.. it's a little red chilli pepper... it's so soft, and cute.. i wasn't going to get a new one, but i really liked it... oh well... it's cute.. all the halloween stuff is out at the stores and my 3YO makes me go down each row at the store... he loves scary things... my 6YO hate them... i think that i'm going to get halloween photos done... i just got a pennys coupon for 2.99 a sheet... i've never done professional halloween ones... we'll see what the other boys pick out for costumes... i think that my 3YO wants superman or batman... he loves the superheros... who know what my 6YO wants?? he's VERY picky

nicola-so glad to hear that you are well... and wow 7 weeks... time does fly.... is jack getting better on sleeping/?

ellie-your routine sounds kinda like mine... i do not know from day to day what the afternoon will bring... the morning is kind of like a schedule, but we are up for grabs in the afternoon... sounds like isabella is big abd healthy.. my doc told me (gavin was wanting to feed all the time) that i should try and hold the feeding off... and try a passy or such on my finger, maybe she just needs to suck, not actually eat? Gavin was-well still is- a big boy... you should be producing as much milk as isabella needs. Now Gavin is a thumb sucker... i really do not like it, but it works for him... he sleeps better and settles himself down.

nance- she is so cute.. do get the coupons.. i'm such a coupon sale person... get the photo coupons too... i just got jcpenny coupons for 2.99 a sheet... what a good price... i think that you might be able to signup on line for pennys or sears photos.... do not go without a coupon it will cost an arm and leg.

kim- hope that you little ones are well... are they still looking around a lot while tryingf to feed them?? Gavin did today, but this time he did not let go.. OUCH... how is your class?? i forgot what grade you teach... was it 2nd?? we have techer confrences coming up... i do not know how teachers do it... bless your hearts.. 20 kids yeikes...

rachael- hope that you are well, and makayla is doing good.. is her meds all figured out/? is she sleeping longer??

well we are doing good... Gavin has woken up the past few nights... he would not go back to sleep without a feed? maybe he is going to grown more... he was up for 1 1/2 hours last night?? i want him to go back to sleeping through.... hopfully tonight!! i added a photo on photobucket.. i just love his big blue eyes....

well i hope that everyone takes care!!!

Hi gals!

Jeck, that's great news! I hope things with the Embassy go quickly, so you can get your baby home. What an exciting time for you!

Colleen--Yeah, Ellie still looks around all the time while feeding. Although some feeds are better than others. It's funny...Braeden used to be the challenging one to feed because he was always "leaking" milk from his chin...I called him my lazy sucker. Now, he's doing great, and she's being the difficult one! At least they're taking turns, right? As for school, it's going really well. I really like going for just 1/2 a day. I teach first grade, which is pretty demanding at the beginning of the year, but I seem to have a pretty good class. I get to teach them science, social studies, and math--all pretty fun stuff for 6 and7 year olds!

Tasha--You are the halloween gal, right? Well, I DO have costumes for my kiddos. I had to stick with my Buckeye theme! Ellie is going to be a cheerleader, and Braeden is going to be a Buckeye player! I found their outfits at TArget and Marshalls....they're cute enough to wear every Saturday, plus at Halloween, so I feel like I'm getting a little "extra" wear out of them. I do get the "One Step Ahead" catalog, and they have LOTS of cute costumes at pretty reasonable prices. They have a website too! Some cool stuff!

Ellie--Wow, she's a great size! She's about the size of my two, and they're 12 weeks old. (I know twins can be small, though.) As for more milk, if she wants more, your body should adjust to her needs. As for introducing formula, mine have been eating formula since day one since they had to be supplemented. Has she ever had a bottle of breastmilk? That might be the way to go first, then intro formula? Just an idea. As for sleeping more at night, I bet she'll do it soon. I read somewhere that babies around 7-9 weeks and around 11-12 pounds are ready to do a good 7 or 8 hours. I bet she'll do it any day now!

Well, my two are napping, I'm going to get some dinner ready while I have the chance! have a good one.

Oh, by the way, to my American gals....my students were just born when 9/11 happened. That was a big reality check for me today. :?

Kim- those halloween costumes sound adorable.... I'm sure they will look so cute in them. Speaking of that catalog - I just got mine the other day... I just love it. Well I'm counting down the days until halloween - so my little lady bug can go trick-or-treating.

Chat w/ you all later!

Hi all I have just posted some photos of Isabella.
Thanks for the advice Colleen, i have been trying to hold her at bay for a little longer today with a dummy and it seems to be helping, she has actually gone nearly 3 hours inbetween feeds. She is assleep now so i will see how long it lasts she has been having short 15 mins all day.
Buckeye i hope you are right about the sleeping i could do with a decent night. I have been lucky enough that Isabella has wanted to take expressed milk out of the bottle from her daddy at times. I have expressed 5 ozs today and hopfully if i give her this tonight before bed it might make her sleep more. Fingers crossed.
I can't believe Halloween is coming around again. It is not really celebrated here in Spain however i used to love organising parties in the nursery for all the children and getting dressd up myself. Now i have a little one i might have some children over for a party just to dress Isabella up.
It was great to hear your news Jeck i have been wondering how you were doing. Fingers crossed the DNA tests get back quickly and Jaden can start his new life with you both.
Isabella has just woke up again and making funny noises so i better go and check (she has managed 20 mins this time!)

hi there...
we are good.. Gavin slept better and finally pooped...(sorry if it's TMI) he hasn't pooped in 5 days... so he was a bit crabby and backed up... we did the warm bath, the taking temp-down there, and massage.. but ended up having to do a little babylax.. doc said that we can try juice if he goes a few days without going poop... but i am not ready for that...so hopfully this will just be a little jump start for his system...

kim- my oldest is in 1st grade...he loves science and math... we are really working on the reading (his worst) ... Logan was just over 3months when 9/11 happened... i was nursing him at that very moment... i still feel for all of those who lost loved one...

ellie-she is a cutie... she will get there, sleep wise... one day she'll sleep through the night, and then even nap better...i would say that if you are planning to supplement, then make sure she is getting a bottle every 3-4 days untill you are ready to supplement.. that is what they said so that she will not refuse the bottle..but i think that once she is on a good eating pattern, you'll feel better... less feeding... not i only feed gavin, i think, 6 times, sometimes 7 times a day.. not too bad.

tasha-sorry that work is crazy... hope only that it makes your day go by fast..

well, i hope you all take care!!

hi girls,

We are well but I seem to have hit a wall of exhaustion the last few days. I think this affecting my milk as well as the evenings have turned into a mammoth feeding session! Joshua is just fussing and feeding until 11pm then only sleeping 2-3 hours. Wonderng about introducing formula just at 7pm so DH can feed during bath and bedtime for DD. Expressing is not very successful for me, i'm lucky to get 1oz off! Will give it a few more says and see how things go.

Jeck- great news! not long now til you have your son ome with you. thinking of you.

nicola- good to hear from you and glad all is well.

ellie- Glad you are managing to get 3 hour between feeds. Hope you get some sleep very soon. I'm empathising with you!

colleen- glad Gavin is sorted with the pooping situation! hope things are moresettled now.

praying for a good night for u all x
