Hi Girls

My god what a few weeks, still can't believe what has happened!!!!

After a scary start with Jacob, they couldn't find his heartbeat, then once they were both born he had a few breathing problems everything seems to be going really well, babies are now 9 days old and still in special care unit, but just in cots, Amelia has just had her feed tube removed this morning and has gained weight and Jacob looks like he will get rid of his by tuesday and has also gained weight, which means they MIGHT be home by next weekend. I was sent home yesturday and spent most of the day crying, I hate being away from them!! I just keep looking them waiting for someone to wake me up from this dream.

I will be popping on line but am back and forward to the hospital, if anyone wants a piccy then email me and i will send one back.

Rachel.....sorry, my were very eager to get out!!!!

Now for the soppy bit!!!
I could'nt have got through my pregnancy and ivf treatment without each of you and I wish I could wave a magic wand and make all your dreams come true, you are all special to me and have held my hand through the most special time in my life and I thank you.

Lots of love

Mags ...Amelia and Jacob

Mags

Reading your post has sent a shiver up my spine!!

I'm so pleased little Jacob and Amelia are doing so well - sounds like they're making really good progress. It must have been really hard having to go home without them! How fantastic if they're allowed home as early as next weekend though - I'll keep everything crossed for you!!

I would love a picture - I'll send you an e-mail!

Take care of yourself and try and catch up on some night time sleep over the next few days as I'm sure once you they come home, you won't get much!

Congratulations Mags - somehow I can't find the right words to express my happiness for you!

LOL Helen xx

Hi Mags!

Congratulations on the birth of Jacob and Amelia. It sounds like they're doing really well, which is great news! Here's hoping that they're back home with you very soon; it really is the most amazing feeling when you're all together at home as a family for the first time.

Take care.

Jules

Dear Mags, so lovely to hear the news. I nearly cried! I'm so glad you're well and that Amelia and Jacob are nearly ready to come home with you. It must feel so alien and horrid to have to leave them in the hospital instead of having them at home with you. It will probably seem very scary and lovely at the same time when you do have them home!

I can't believe how fast your pregnancy has gone - who is due next?

Take care, love Sally xxx

Hey Mags, not long now til you can get your precious bundles into that car and home!! It must be awful not being able to have them straight away but hang in there - its lovely that they're both doing well now.

Your "soppy bit" was I'm sure how we all feel about this site. I don't know how I'd have got through the ICSI treatments without all the girls, especially with keeping it all a secret at home/work. And once you've made it over here you know there's such help & sympathy so close at hand all the time.

Looking forward to next weekend for you and your DH - Jo. XXXX

Mags - have just been across to Fertility Friends just to look at your photo of the cherubs - they are both absolutely beautiful and look fine & healthy. Bet this weekend can't come soon enough and I wish you and your DH the happiest time imaginable - first night at home as a family - it just gives you goosepimples thinking about it doesn't it?

Love - Jo.
