6 wk Scan Update

Post by Trace100 »

Just to let you all know that I had my scan yesterday and we could'nt believe you could see a heart beat, so amazing. Just the one for us, we are so pleased, its been a long two weeks waiting for this scan. I had a bit of a scare last week, I started to bleed but only for a day, so just took it easy and rested. Go back for another scan (8wks) in two weeks time to see if baby is growing.

I've started to feel sick now, gone off my food, I go shopping to see what to have for the evening supper and I have to walk out again incase I'm sick, im also really struggling with drinking water, I was doing so well (3litres a day) anyone else find this.

Thanks Tracy x

That's fantastic news. I know how scared you must have been to go in for the scan. i am petrified and haven't even got mine booked yet!! It must be such a relief - read somewhere on this site that risk of m/c goes down to under 10% if you see a heartbeat so even better news. beckym xxx

Tracy

Fab news - what a lovely relief for you - you definitely sound pregnant to me - all that sickness with smells and stuff, revolting but so so lovely at the same time. Every day I felt grim, I was so happy - such a lovely reminder of what was going on!

I have to be honest and say that I probably don't drink as much water as I should, mainly because I'm so p'd off with having to go to the loo every 10 minutes! If it makes you feel rough, don't force yourself to have it, as it will just make you sick. After all the treatment etc, and all the water drinking and don't do this, and do that, and all that business, try to return to normal life and doing normal things - if you don't normally drink gallons of water, don't be too strict with yourself now. You're in the same boat as all those women who conceive naturally now so you can enjoy it.

Again, fab news! Well done to you both.

Love

Rachel
x

Hi Trace,

It is just so amazing isn't it when you see the little heartbeat beating away but I know how worried you feel before you have your scan. The sickness mmmmm not very nice is it really. Well I had sickness uptil about 14wks and then got it on and off and it does make you feel rough but at the end of the day you wouldn't want it any other way. To be honest I don't drink as much water now, I do try and aim for 2 pints of water a day which isn't very much really considering how much I had to drink when I was going through the tmt.

Hope all continues to go well at your next scan.

Love
Shell.
30wks 6d pg
xx

Hi Trace - lovely to hear your news. We treasure these scans for ever don't we? Seeing that first heartbeat and how it makes you feel. Just keep taking it easy - a bit of bleeding is very common. I wouldnt worry too much about water - just try to drink a little more than normal. Rest is the main thing I think in the early days.

Like Shell, sickness for me lasted to 14-15 weeks but don't worry, you'll get through it - and I bet you wouldn't change it for the world anyway !!! I found that eating melba toast or breadsticks helped. Once you get through the first part you start to feel great once the sickness goes.

Well done on your little heartbeat - lots of love, Jo. XX (23 wks)

Hi Trace

Well done! It is so amazing when you see that little tiny heart beating away. I just cried and my DH was so quiet - in awe I expect.
The sickness is really horried but hopefully worth it. I find I can't drink nearly enough but little and often helps.

Have fun and enjoy these very special first feelings of being PG.

Love Dagny 10wks

Thanks for all your kind words and advice everyone, it's so nice to hear from you all.

I still keep looking at the scan picture everyday, it puts such a lovely smile on my face. I've actually now started to be phycially sick, not nice, but I dont care, the doctor said that it is a good sign as you are getting the right amount of hormones and less chance of m/c.

Love Tracy-7wks
xxx

p.s. Good luck for the 2nd December Beckym
