TammyS - I loved your idea of updating your dates in your signature (I put my dates on mine too!).

I posted a new calendar, our group is growing!!! So I omitted the locations in favor of space. If I got anything wrong, let me know, you can PM me any changes you would like me to make. I did it super fast so I hope I got it ok.

Have a wonderful day girls!

Mia - IKEA is relatively cheap, their online store doesn't have 10% of all the stuff in store. I know what you mean about spending but we want cute things that are practical and also inexpensive, a convertible crib will probably last you a while since it goes to a small bed, the changing table becomes a dresser, etc... :) I think you can view their catalog online weird flipping through pages but it has more stuff than the online store.

Hi Pam! Welcome to the board :D Hopefully February 15 will be a blessed day for you. That happens to be my birthday (38 ). It's gotta be a good day!

Rio: don't know if you got my dates yet, but if not...
baseline and u/s 1/17
Gonal and menopur 1/19
er~ 1/28
et~ 2/2

Tammy: Sorry to read you didn't sleep well. I've been tossing and turning too. Worrying and just thinking about my past, my family, just crazy things. Why? I don't know. I keep my ipod next to my bed. I've loaded a lot of classical music. I find it helps to relax me and sometimes I will even fall back asleep.

Strange as it sounds, I'm actually looking forward to my Lupron shot tonight. When DH came to bed last night he told me that he really feels important since he is participating in my shots. Glad I could be his human pin cushion. He will really feel involved when he has to start taking his antibiotics. Too bad I can't give them to him in a shot. :P

I never heard about the AM and PM shots being 12 hours apart either. I will check and see what my nurse tells me next time I go in.

After reading so many of your posts, I feel like I should be out shopping :D I never even thought of it. DH and I still have to move back to Louisiana and then we are going to remodel the room edition we built 2 years ago and he promised me he would remodel my bathroom too! Speaking of which, Are hot baths out???

Everyone: I'm really greatful that we have come together on this board. You are all a terrific group of women and I think we are all very lucky to have come in contact with one another.

Houston gals: Who's up for lunch? I'm in Sugar but I'm always willing to drive to one of the surrounding areas for a good time with friends :D

weezie - I will fix your et :) Why is DH going for antibiotics, my DH isn't.

My RE said no hot baths after ER because the heat can soften the clot from the hole of the retrieval so best to avoid it after ER for healing. He also said and I read that embies are very sensitive to temperature changes. A woman's body should never go beyond 100F (i think). If you have a thermometer you can trust, take a warm bath. We have a spa that I LOVE and we keep it at 98. RE said warm bath ok but nothing that would raise your temp. I say if you soak in and take your temp and make sure the water isn't too hot, it would be ok, but be very careful, same goes for long super hot showers. :)

rio: thanks for the bath info. I'm bummed :( because I love boiling my body. Oh well, just another small sacrifice. No biggie.
DH is going to take 2 weeks of antibiotics to ensure no infection or bacteria will happen. I believe it's just standard protocol for where we are seeking treatment. Just like, we are doing ICSI and yet DH had a sperm count 3x higher than normal and 73% motility. They are worried that since it only takes one, and there are so many, they want to choose only the best. The "valedictorian" as our nurse put it. How crazy is that?

Hi and Welcome Pam! :D Did you girls see the news?? I believe it is nationwide news. I caught a second of it last night and more of it today. Their is a guy in New York who needed a place to live for one week while his apt is getting fumagated or something....so he made an apt of IKEA stuff at the actual store and is living there. People who come to shop can see and watch him live in his IKEA apt. Too funny. Obviously it is a promotion ploy for IKEA. His wife is staying with family. LOL Apparantly there is a youtube and website on it all too.

Wow! There is 8 of us all within a few days of each other for ER. That is gonna be a very busy and exciting week. :D

Hello again Everyone!

I went to the doctor's office today and learned how to do the Lupron shot. I am not as nervous now about the shot. The needle used for Lupron is small. Now I just have to get through the IM shots when the time comes. I begin the shots on Jan 14th. I haven't got dates yet for ER and ET but it should be beginning of Feb.

Are your doctors using baby aspirin?

Rio: I love the space saving calendar! I will check out the catalogue online - thanks for the link! I love what I see online! I found one that is in Round Rock - just outside of Austin - that one is closer, maybe dh and I will go there this weekend :)

Weezie: hot baths are out, but warm baths are fine! I'm not gonna buy anything yet, but I am definitely doing a bit of "research" :) Dh wants me to wait until 3 months before we tell anyone - yeah right!! I will be yelling it on the rooftops the day I find out :0)

Houston gals: I do go up there (Conroe) quite a bit on the weekends; the next time I plan a visit I will let ya'll know ahead of time so we can get together for lunch!

Tammy: that is hilarious - I will have to look that up on Youtube - what will they think of next??

Aims: the Lupron shots are a piece of cake , and I am not gonna worry about the IM shots till I have to  My RE never mentioned baby aspirin; I know it is standard at most clinics.

Mia - you and dh will love the cute stuff and I doubt he won't want to buy anything!

My RE has me on aspirin every day except during ER for 2 days

Here is a question for all of you girls:

HOW LONG WILL YOU WAIT TO TELL EVERYONE
AFTER YOU GET A BFP?

I figured I would tell the people that know about ivf, my mom, his parents, my boss. I think I will wait longer for everyone else, it will be tough but I probably will wait 3 months - if I can!!!

Like I said dh is trying to convince me to wait 3 months, but I wouldn't mind telling everyone the second I know. Eventhough there is a risk of m/c, I'd still tell - b/c who knows if I'd ever get pg again, and I'd hate to miss out on a chance to tell my friends and family I am pg all b/c I would then have to tell them I m/c, but that is just me.
