It's wierd how when we are told we cannot have something, we tend to crave it more. Did your stimm shots hurt more than the lupron? Are you still reeling from all that sugar

TammyS I never heard about the connection between asprin and the uterus lining. I may start taking asprin too. I'm going to call my nurse today.
Bat21 I will starting Gonal-F and menopur on the 19th too. Kudos to you for doing your own shots. I tried to do my own lupron shot for the first time last night and couldn't even get the needle in. Instead I just pricked my skin and started to bleed. I hate the fact that I have to rely on DH for that. I'd like to think I'm a big girl and can do it myself, but I guess not.
Mia: sounds like I should be calling you Hazel. Cleaning on the weekend. You are better than me. And what a wonderful dream! When is your anniversay? Wouldn't that be a great present to find out your are preggers on your anniversary?
Beth: Stay clear of your SIL. You are a bigger person than me. I would have went off on her. And I agree with something you posted earlier... this is going fast.
Martin: welcome. Good idea to keep your pharmacy out of site. I should have done that, but I have mine all out in the open. The good thing about that is DH sees it all the time and is reminded of how committed I am to this and what I have to endure. I do my lupron at 8pm. When I start my Gonal-f I will do that one at 8am and the menopur at 8pm.

Whew! I hope I didn't miss anyone. If I did please let me know how things are going.
Me: I went back home to Louisiana for the weekend and my mothers birthday. It was soooo nice to be back in my home, my bed, my everything. It was a much needed trip as many of you know DH and I are in the mist if being harrassed by his ex. And things are getting worse. I even drank this weekend. But just for the weekend. I have to stay commited to this. And not let her get the best of me. AF showed up this weekend. And I go for labwork and u/s Thursday.

Weezie--Went to doc this morning. Follies grey alot this weekend. some are just about ready. Right ovary has smaller ones but they said thats normal. I am scheduled to go back wednday. Im dont with meds. tomorow night. She will call today and let me know based on my BW if they want me to do another US tueday---Or just wait until wed. I will prob go in for ER on friday. WOO-HOO im really excited and ready. It was a busy weekend which made it go by fast. How was your weekend? Good trip home?

About PIO, in a previous post I mentioned warming it slightly and my RE also prescribed numbing cream if anyone would like the name of it (I have to look at home)

beth - I will tell immediate family about BFP but not anyone else until 3 mos (if I can) and I will not tell people it was an IVF baby, not that there is anything bad about it, I just like to keep things private.

I don't watch "the bold and the Beautiful" but it just so happens to be on. I was watching the news earlier. And I had to share how stupid the writers are.
Some guy is talking to a woman and is telling her how the fertility clinic made a mistake. On the day of the ET the doctor was called out in the middle of the procedure and the wrong embryo was transfered. And of course it worked. And now this couple has this other womans baby.

Boy do they make it sound sooo easy. And how unbelievable that a doc would leave in the middle of a proceedure and the WRONG EMBRYO. Please. I feel like emailing the writers. Clearly NONE of them went through in-vitro, nor did they do their homework.

weezie - dumb writers! I also saw a Private Practice episode where she was ovulating and they found out he didn't have enough sperm so they did an egg retrieval stat and got one of his ittle guys and transferred a cute embie the same day!!!! No meds, no stimming, no nothing!

Rio---The follies are big they said they ranged from 15-17 and a few smaller ones in my right ovary. some of those around 13-14. they said 17-18 they are ready. I have meds for Today and Tuesday. I will find out soon if they want me for US tomrow or wedneday. My official 10 days of meds are up tomorrow. Im really excited. I am SOOO bloated but it doesnt hurt. I cant beleive how fast its gone!!

Mia--Awesome dream. I think i'd be a bit weirded out. But in a good way.

I just wanted to say good luck to you girls that are going through retreival this week! Lots of babie wishes coming your way!

I am on day 5 of stim, and my estrogen was 520 today and I have tons of follies but all of them are small right now, about 10 to 12 mm. Grow follies grow! I am just hoping my estrogen doesn't go nuts like it did last time but so far all looks good over here and retrieval will be in a week!!

Riogirl, I don't usually post on this thread, but I saw your comment on the episode on Private Practice and I felt the same way. How ridiculous all to be done in one day. Then in the elevator on the way out, she's all "I'm pregnant." blah, blah, blah. Reality check. Glad I wan't the only one who saw that. -chriss

I just got a call from RE nurse---According to BW and US this morning NO shots tonight or in the morning. I will also have to go back in the morning for another US & BW. Apparntly moving right along faster then expected. I'm a little nervous but Really excited. I wonder if that means Ill have ER sooner then Friday. Ill let you know.

Beth: Nope my friend has no idea I am doing IVF I decided just not to tell anyone, b/c word might spread and I hate for ppl to hear something rom someone else. As for when I get a BFP... Since I have been TTC for 8 years I kinda need to tell ppl about IVF! It would be kinda noticeable. We haven't kept it a secret that we have IF issues. Only at work do I tellppl I don't want kids (mainly to piss off all the ladies that think you are nothing unless you are a mother ) Especially since some ppl still think I need to just not think about it and it will happen - that way they know they are idiots( feeling a bit vengeful:)). I don't really have a problem with people knowing about what I have been through. It is kinda like a medal of honor But I completely understand those who don't want to tell. I used to have a good friend who was so much against IVF it really made things difficult between us. And I know those ppl are still out there...

Weezie: I am sooooo glad you got a break for the BM. Yikes! Can't imagine. STay focused. Last IVF Dh's family caused so many problems and I was soooo stressed I can't help but think if that was a reason it didn't work. My anniversary in on Feb 7th!! But I think I will be in the 2WW during it.

Katie: Glad you are progressing right along! ER on Friday YEAHH!!!!

I am really surprised at stupid TTC moments on TV. They make it seem so effortless. Usually the woman is portrayed in a looney way!

I decided to not worry about finding a job until my BFP That way I can rest all I want! I will be teaching two classes on Saturdays, so that will give me something to do w/o completely overwhelming myself. Last IVF I did overseas and I flew back in my 2WW; man it was sooo stressful. Plus dh could only go there for 2 weeks to deposit his men, so I was alone for most of the cycle So glad this time we are together!

Hi everyone.

I read something earlier about aspirin.
We are asked to take aspirin in uk. 2 weeks before EC onwards the dose is 1 X 75mg a day which is a smaller dose than the normal tablets. But can still be brought over the counter. The reason is because it stops the blood clotting or getting to thick.

Not much happening with me. Still waiting for this damn cyct to shrink.
