Good news! Well since Tuesday my left ovary managed to get two more follies. So now I have 10 follies with sizes ranging from 15 to 26 mm.
Trigger shot tonight!!! I go for ER one day earlier than schedule (ER 1/18 Friday) and they said by Sat morning they will let me know how many eggs, and how many fertilized. ET is 3 day, so it is on Monday. I am praying for healthy eggs! My DH donated his backup sample today and the lab already said there were some good swimmers there (still low count). I feel so much better - thank you for all the positive thoughts, you girls are truly the best support ever! :D :D

Mia - is it chocolate cake? chocolate is healthy :) !! It is a tough call with the new job, I guess you can say minor medical procedure or some vague thing... good luck tomorrow on your baseline!

weezie - pizza date with DH sounds yummy! Has the ex calmed down?

Sage- I will pray that your cycle goes smoothly - lots of positive vibes! NO OHSS!!

Katie - Good news on the progesterone level, I am sending you lots of positive thoughts for your ER! Please let us know how tomorrow morning goes. Enjoy your pizza and stay positive!

Loopie - my estradiol took a little while to spike also, finally it jumped from 750 on Tuesday to 1,800 today. Take his words that you don't have anything to worry about! Grow follies! :) things can change really fast.

dawn - sorry you don't feel well - hopefully the cyst will go away and you will have your BFP soon!!! Please keep us posted!

corny - glad to see you around here!

Way to go RIO :D OMG! I can't believe you will be having ER Friday! Man, this time is flying. We haven't heard from the ex since this morning when she called me every name in the book and then reminded DH that she didn't have the kids on her own. Whatever.
I told DH about your new good news and he thought it was really cool and wants me to wish you good luck!

I am totally craving all kinds of things - chocolate and french fries are at the top of the list!!! :) :P
Is this normal before stimming? i'm supposed to have gotten a mini period this week ( after BCPills, before stim meds)...maybe thats why i'm having all these cravings, but it's not helping my weight situation :?

welcome all the new girls!

Katie: Hang in there! We're all thinking about you :D

riogirl: what kind of diet are you on? fertility diet? did you already mention this previously? sorry, i'm going through the posts as fast as i can :) there's so much great info!

Hopin4baby: i'll be doing the Novarell trigger shot as well. i guess lots of pharmacies are out of the drug. did you have a hard time finding it? I did! lots of fertility problems out there i guess :o
I have my stimming ultrasounf tomorrow and starting gonal-f and menopur on saturday. any specific questions i should ask the nurse???

Katie:
you;re so right about what you said about this whole process making us stronger. i really believe that! I feel like this will make us better and stronger people and better moms because we will appreciate our kids more and the process that we had to go through. i try to figure out a reason for all this stuff i'm going through, and this has to be it...

I would definitely mention to your job that it's a medical procedure you're having. it doesn't matter what they think - just say you're going through some medical treatments and the dates are tentative.

i ws actually considering taking the whole week off between the ER and ET. we should be taking it easy, but my job is pretty flexible, so i think i'd rather save my vacation time for later on in the pregnancy :)

you have any recipies for the smoothies you're making??

i have my ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow too. i dont know exactly what they're checking for...i think to make sure we're ready for stim meds...mine's called a "Stimulation ultrasound"
let's compare notes tomorrow :)
i am making a list of things to ask the nurse tomorrow. you have a list?

so far so good

Post by Marin »

Hi everyone,
My computer went down and I missed 6 pages of messages! I started Lupron 4 days ago and so far so good. It really doesnt hurt, its the anticipation that it might hurt that gives me a second hesitation before putting the needle in. Each time it gets easier. So far the only side effect (I think) is that I have crazy amounts of energy. I am really spazzy and full of beans. Maybe I am just excited that this process is finally started.

I know you are not supposed to exercise when stimming due to the risk of ovarian torsion but is it ok to exercise on Lupron only? I assume the ovaries are small at this time?

Glad to hear everyone's news and progress reports. Best wishes to everyone.

Waiting for af now and then baseline info appointment.

MArin: Sorry your computer has been on the fritz! Yep it is more the anticipation that it is gonna hurt than anything else! I think it is the stimming that you can jump and all, but maybe someone else knows for sure.

21bat: I think I will do just as you said and tell them I will need off days. Hopefully tomorrow's appointment will clear up the dates. For the smoothies: a cup of milk, 2 small yogurts (organic whole milk plain for me) one banana lots of strawberries. Sometimes I add OJ. I like to drink one glass and then put the rest in the freezer for a snack later in the evening. What kind of questions will you ask?? I hadn't thought to prepare questions  I wonder if I will start Gonal f on Sat too...

Loopie: what goes in a spankypita :)??

Wish me luck girls on my appointment and interview!

thanks for the recipa, mia! i'll try it tomorrow! :)

my questions are pretty easy...just stuff i've been reading abt and want to make sure i'm doing everything ok. i know some ppl are taking baby aspin, but i was told not to take it until after ET...i also want to make sure my extra 1000mg of fish oil is ok, and i want more info on my possible PCOS...i feel better wheni have questins to ask, i feel like i have mroe control over this or something :?:

i looked up the recipe for spanikopita after i read loopie's thread :)
here's the one i found http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spanakopita/Detail.aspx
but loopie, we'd love to get yours! it's probably more "Fertility friendly" :)

THEY GOT SIX EGGS

Post by kbear4211 »

My ER and my DH's TESA were yesterday. His procedure was first and the DR said it went well. As far as the ER, everyone who said you are out and won't feel a thing, you are right. ER was a breeze.

I did have a tiny bit of spotting and cramping, as is to be expected last night.

They retrieved six eggs. I really wanted more, but they all assured me this was fine. My worst fear is nothing fertilizes. I will know the prelim results this afternoon.

I have been told it will probably be a day 3 transfer, which means Saturday.

This is all new to me, so it has been a very scary but exciting experience. Reading everyone else's posts has helped so much. Thanks for being here.

kbear

P.S. I thought it was ironic that the night of ER and hopefully the beginning of fertilization, me and my DH were up half the night with a very sick dog. She threw up all night, and would not leave our sides.
