Post by alypraying »

Hi All
Thought I'd start the thread for January. I know a lot of you are starting FET and IVF cycles this month so let's get the list going and work up some positivity to follow on from Lisa P having a big fat positive!! I'm due to start IUI (again!) Jan 20th but I'm sure many of you will be starting downregging now, Helen S how are you doing and when do you inject? Fi when do you start you FET?
Love to all and roll on 2004!!

I'd like to join the Jan cycle buddies.
I'm due to start supression injection on 9th Jan and hopefully egg collection beginning Feb. This will be my third time, but the injections don't get any easier as I'm sure you will all agree.
Lets hope we get lots of positives in Jan / Feb.

Hi I'm also starting again 3rd time!!!!!!! :(

We go to clinic on Tues for dh to have hie refresher course on giving the injections,as the last treatment was a natural fet,Iam due to start af on the 9th but have been having acupunture and this as been making af arrive early,so it could be any time.I've just stopped drinking which I'm finding hard already the last 2 times I've been really good cutting out caffiene and alcohol but noe I'm on the 3rd time I'm losing abit willpower thinking that being good the last 2 times didnt make any differnce so why bother now,esp when I've got a bottle of opened Baileys and Tia Maria!!
Starting my diet on Mon need to get the stone I've put on since treatment in Oct
Hope everyone is ready to go,I must admit I'm not looking forward to the ec made a right fool of my self the last time crying and plus it really hurt I must remember to suck hard on the gas and air!!!!!!
Lets hope 2004 will be all our year, dont know how many fails we can take but I will carry on til we reach our dream its just scarey starting it all again thats why I couldnt get through it without this site and FF.
Hope everyone as as a good weekend.
Is any one going to take baby asprin last 2 times I havent but this time I have decided to take it clinic says its ok to,what are everyone elses thoughts on Baby asprin? and when do you start taking it I have heard after ec??

Well I think I've rambled on enough

Hi Aly,
I'm starting FET this month, Buserelin injections due to start on 17th. Really stressed out about it, and because of this my periods have gone haywire, the sister at the ARU says it'll be ok as the injections will sort everything out....hope she's right!
It's great there are so many of you out there doing this at the same time, I think I'd go mental if I thought I was on my own.
I should find out early March if weve been lucky.

Hi All

I am waiting for AF to arrive, next Weds ish then I will be doing my 1st FET( 2 x Failed IVF). Having a natural cycle so fairly chilled out so far! Not doing anything different to normal this time, have made a decision that if I want a drink, caffine or sex I will! If its meant to be it will happen and if I got pregnant naturally I wouldnt even know! This is for my peace of mind, no medical reasons!
I have dislocated my shoulder at the mo(OUCH!) so am off work. hopefully it will be ok before I have ET as I will not go ahead if I still need painkillers.
Kat, fellow OCB,hopefully we will get lucky this time. Hope your workload has eased up and you are feeling positive!

Hi girls

Well I feel a right novice with you lot!! As this is my first time please be gentle with me and keep the ec and jabbing horror stories to yourselves!!
(Have just read a post about ec at Barts being horrific which is where I'll be going - oh joy!!) I am the biggest wimp so will probably faint with the first injection!.
Good luck to us all and heres to lots of positives in the next few weeks

Hi everyone well we do seam to be a bit of a seasoned bunch! Dawn don't worry about being a novice and don't worry about the E/C just take one step at a time. Sue I hope the shoulder gets better soon and try and stay as chilled as you are! Kat I think you are a marvel how do you keep going, I wish I had your strength, Scorry try not be be stressed not easy I know, I find a warm bath and sented candles de-stress me that or a large Vodka!! Gem good luck girl I'm with you on the caffine etc I think you just have to do whatever makes you relax good luck with the weight loss same here need to loose a stone! Thought i'd fill you in on treatment so fat had clomid for 10 months and had an early miscarriage last Feb. Had IVF whereby they found out I have a mild form of PCOS which makes my embryo's poor quality. I have mild Endo but they don't think that is having an effect I have had 2 IUI 3rd this month and am waiting for an egg donor which will hopefully be around March/April. After that I don't know. Lots of positive vibes and let's have the best month yet.
Lots of hugs
Aly :D

Hi Guys

Firstly GOOD LUCK for 2004!!!!

I am here for my first and only ICSI with donor backup. I have already started injecting Buserelin which is making me pathetically tired... has anyone else found this??

Scan is tomorrow and should be starting Purgeon later this week and will know dates for EC and poor DH biopsy too.

Lets hope we all get our wishes for 2004! Thank god for this site and thanks in advance for keeping me sane!!

Love

Hi Girls
Just poped in to wish you all the luck in the world , DH and I are going to grovel to the doctor tomorrow to see if he will fund the blood tests we are about to have (£575) I will cry alot if he doesnt !!! :( anyway I will be having another FSH test done around 22nd ish when AF arrives and again in feb , that with the blood test results it will be back to the clinic to discuss action
1) ICSI using us! or IUI with donor Sperm
2)Donor Egg Again but with unnamed
3)Donor Embyo ( Cheaper , less stress and no waiting list ) which is my favourite just defrost and bung em in!!!! they can do this with a natural cycle and also they have come from a batch that have worked with someone else

I want to start Now !

ow well I will book a holiday to Mexico instead cause every year I dont and it never works so this year I am booking Mexico in September then its bound to work for our TMT in April Hopefully if not May or June .

Have a good week girls
