Ok stop talkin that fancy language! WTF is cawl???? The only thing I have EVER used anything (well that I know about) related to leeks in, is when I make spinach dip you use leek soup by Knorrs in the mix haha...so I'd have no clue what they taste like plain...but I like Bok Choy...and since it is green like leeks, I will pretend they taste the same ....in my own little world

So here is the beaner...I think it looks like a girl, how bout you guys

Image

I have my 1st non-RE apt on April 3. I can't really say it is an OB or midwife apt cuz I haven't actually picked one over here...my old one is 2 hrs away. I'm 99% sure I'm going with an OB though. I have a general apt with a nurse for that all impt stuff like weight (yeh sooo against my religion!), background check, boring stuff, etc. Then I meet with a nurse practitioner who has worked with both the midwives and Ob teams (it is a major med center I go to so they are all in one office). She is gonna b able to talk with me about the differences to help me decide...but like I said, 99% positive it will be an OB...I like having that medical degree in the catcher's position haha

Steph -

Yup, looks like a girl to me! I think I even see the early stages of that turtle shell forming!!! ;) Thanks for posting. How exciting to see your little one :D

And yes, I talk to my little embies every day - and so does their daddy. He calls 'em "little critters" but he whispers to them every night. It's very sweet.

Good luck on your orientation day tomorrow. Let us know how it goes. If you're not too tired and sleepy when you get home!

Well, off to bed for me - back to work tomorrow. ewh.

You see, Bob, it's a problem of motivation.

Hello girls!!! Man I have had a stressful weekend! Would have much rather been chatting here. Basically this is what happened:

I went to see my folks this weekend - and it was such a stressful time.

They have temporary custody of a 17 month old b/c the mother went to the hospital after slipping a disc and she had no one to take care of the baby (no family - no friends) and the nurse made a note that she thought the mother was abusing perscription drugs cuz she was acting weird and CPS took the child from her. After a week the baby had lost weight had sores on it (from stress)... and The mother called my mom who she met at the crisis pregnancy center that mom used to work at and aske her if she would take in the baby until the case is cleared up. Ok long story short the mom is staying with my parents to help with the baby - and oh my goodness she has issues! Now my parents and I are very worried about her getting custody of her baby back! I think she is overmedicating her baby - example baby is a premie (9wks early) and she is convinced he has all these health issues (none of them visible to any of us) She went out for milk one night ( for 2 hours!!) Came back at 12 midnight went upstairs and woke the baby up she claims he was crying (but he did not make a noise) and then brought him down to give him meds!

I was so stressed and feeling sorry for this baby all weekend. My parents did not know she had these issues until just recently. She claims the baby's father abused him at 3 mos b/c he had a bruise on his arm and she called the police sp he as no rights to the baby - but honestly I think she is nuts! They are considering bringing up to the judge her strange behavior, but they really arent in a position to take care of a baby right now.

UGH.

Peqe: Love the turtle pic!! Everyone just pretend that is a pic of mine too since they are almost the same size!! (me- lazy)

Hope: Still taking it easy?? Is dh spoiling you???

Ok girls I went to take a shower last night and bam- I had a tummy! right below my belly button - stickin out! Dh says I just had a lot to eat :( No it is the baby!! Ok so the belly was gone this morning - but I am not crazy it was there last night!! And I am not bloated! I go in next Monday for my last RE u/s ten I will be able to transfer to my OB. I cant wait cause he has been doing my annuals for 10 years while I have been married - and i can finally go there for more than just a quickie!

Sorry no personals - I have a project I am coordinating with one of the school districts (yea extra money!!) and that starts today - so I will be busy - trying not to be lazy. Plus papers to grade... yada yada yada!!

Hello to all my sisters out there I ignored  I still love ya!!

Wow, Mia that is great about the little pooch. I wish I could say that I am going to get to enjoy that, but I do good job at holding mine in quite a bit so I guess once I am not able to hold it in anymore will I say officially have a pooch once I get pregnant.

ER in the morning. Getting nervous and excited all at the same time. Hope everyone is going well.

Steph how was orientation?

Talk to everyone later.

Hi Ladies, sorry i've been MIA. No personals as i haven't caught up yet, just wanted to say hi.
So much for my weeks holiday, DH has been in bed with Flu since last Tuesday, Due to staff issues i had to work all day \wednesday in the shop on my own and of course it was busy, this knocked me for six and my cold came back with a vengeance, I am still congested and have the most horrendous chesty cough, DH scared i will cough the babies out. Been to doctor and no infection so just trying to wait it out. Back to work Wed so hope were better by then.
Will try to catch up in the next few days.
Hugs to you all
Jayne

PS Steph, good luck tomorrow with ER.

Mia it happens to me too! Ok yeh mine is mostly fat but still....it is wicked noticable in the afternoon/evening. It always flattens out after a poop of course, too  In the morning it is certainly flatter (still fat of course). Next time yur DH tells you that you ate too much, tell him you aren't making anymore potatoes cuz they make you pudgie haha.

The girl your parents are trying to help sure sounds like a handful! I hope they are succesful for the baby's sake...but of course the stress of it is something no one needs, not even you!

I had orientation for my new job today. OMG I soooo wanted to poke my eyeballs out! I learned about recycling, about where the food is (yes important I know), where to park, and to not beat up coworkers! Tomorrow I go back for a few hours of computer training...at least it should keep my eyes awake...except I wanted to sleep in since I have to go to hell at 2-10! Now I'm gonna have to try to catch a nap between the 2. We didn't even go over benefits! THAT is a whole other meeting! GEESH! Next week (during my 2 weeks of vacay from hell) I'm gonna pick up 2 shifts which will be plenty of time to still relax! I'm doing Easter on Saturday with my rents...yeh Saturday! For some retarded reason someone signed my dad up for a colonoscopy on the Monday after Easter! That would mean he can't eat all day! How rotten! So we are rescheduling Easter haha

Gonna have to read the other posts now. Argh I can't believe I have 2 1/2 more weeks til my next apt!
