Hi girls!

Sassy~ Good to hear from you and so glad to hear the trips are doing well. Sorry to hear you're still victim of the dildo cam though! That sucks. I thought that would be a distant memory for you by now but I guess it makes sense that they have to watch your cervix. Better to be safe than sorry.
Wow what a mess old BIL is! Glad to know we can all feel safe with him tucked away behind bars still. What a mess!

Angie~ Glad to hear wombats room is coming along...at least a little bit! Hope you had a good weekend relaxing.

Meg~ How's the weight loss plan coming? To be honest I didn't notice that you needed to lose much weight in the pics you posted but I understand, some people tell me that too but they don't see me without clothes! I was telling people at work how I've been working out on my treadmill every day since we've gotten it and been eating really good and haven't lost one lousy pound. They say, but you don't have much to lose and I'm like OH YEAH...right!!!

Fee~ Glad to hear from you. Sounds like the nazi's are still keeping our girl busy at work. I can't wait til you are able to work from home (I'm sure not near as much as you!).

Tina, Jenn....how are ya????

Not much new going on here. I just got finished working several nights in a row. I've been trying to pick up extra hours to help save $$ for the next round of IVF. Sometimes it's so hard to work there though...especially when I'm working so much for that purpose. This weekend being there was one of those times I was sooo frustrated with all the hoosier mamas coming in to have their 10th baby that we're all paying for! Slight exageration on the 10th baby but you get the point. I had a patient this weekend that we were inducing over night. She had 2 kids at home and of course this pregnancy there was a new baby daddy. He left for a while to go get drunk. Then they were asking me if she could go outside to smoke (while getting induced). I'm like ummmmmm....NO! So they said can we smoke in here...I said ummmmmmm....NO not when there are babies and oxygen! They were shocked and couldn't understand why I was being so mean! Ahhh just another day in paradise!
I really do need to find a new line of work!

Talk to everyone soon.

Nickster - you really must have the patience of a saint to bite your tongue when you have to cope with all those bogan mums wanting to smoke (I think bogan here would be the eqivalent in Oz language of the person you are refererring to!) I regularly walk past the big maternity hospital near where I work and always see these women with big bumps dressed in the hospital gowns sitting outside on the wall having a smoke - it makes me so angry but you have to work with them you poor thing - grrrrr!

Anyway - hope the $$$ are rolling in nicely for your next cycle.

After this week, I have two more weeks at work - yippeee! I am so excited. Just don't ask me how the search for my mat leave cover is going ....?

Hi to everyone else. Hope spring has sprung for you in the States and you are getting some warm weather.

Angie--Wow! Only 2 weeks of work left. That's got to be a great feeling. I bet you're kind of like my mom at this point--she's a teacher and I think that's about how much school they have left, too. Of course, she's not miserable and pregnant. Although, I haven't heard you complain too much so you must be feeling pretty good?

Nickster--Oh, it just burns my butt to see pregnant women smoking. I was a pack a day smoker until 3 years ago when we were in the midst of trying to conceive and I realized that I needed to get as healthy as I could. So I know how hard it is to quit. That being said, you still need to f'ing put your baby ahead of yourself and stop smoking. Why would you ever, ever, ever take a chance of something being wrong with your child if you could avoid it? I just don't get it. Grrrrr...
The weight loss is coming along. It's starting to be nice out here most days, so I try to plan as many moving activities outside each day as I can. Yesterday, for instance, I took Lucy to the Zoo and walked around for an hour or so with her in the carrier. Today, we're going to a local trail. And then I always take a 3 mile walk each afternoon/evening with her in the stroller and with the dog. Plus, I'm trying to do either more cardio with the elliptical machine each night or some strength training when Lucy goes to bed. It's so frustrating. I was plateaued at the same weight fow a long time and just this week seem to have lost a few more. We'll see if it lasts! Good luck to you--it's so hard.

Well, Lou's crying so I'd better get this show on the road! Happy Tuesday to all!

hello all - Happy friday - what's everyone up to? I have a day off today - Just can't manage 5 days at works these days! 4 days suits me just fine! I have a nice weekend planned - a cake date with two friends and then we are having lunch with friends who both have young babies on Sun. A few months ago that would have been my worst nightmare - but things change eh? Mind you, I am sure there will be way too much pregnancy and baby talk over lunch which to be honest, does get a bit boring. Does anyone else find that?

I am excited as on Monday we have our extra special scan - I think the dr calls it the reassuring scan coz we are IVF. It will be great to see the baby again - hopefully we'll get a close up of its features but not its private parts as still want this to be a surprise!

Meg your exercise program sounds great - the weight will fall off I'm sure (not that it looked it needed to from your photos - you looked fab) Glad you have some nice weather - sounded like a long hard winter!

Hi Nickster, Sassy, Jenn, Fee and Tina - how are you going my friend.? Are you still buzzing round the country - all that travel must be very tiring.

Well I guess I better get out of PJ's - am going to make my self go for a swim before I talk myself out of it. THe weightlessness is great feeling I must say.

Hello all! Just checking in on everyone. Work is still kicking my tail, but at least some good things are starting to happen. I wrote a few nice size account recently, so I have some nice commission to look forward to soon. I even wrote a professional football team - which just happens to be my favorite - so that was cool. I have a trip planned in a couple of weeks and then a couple at the beginning of June and then I think my business travel will start to really slow down. My doc said no travel after I think July 10th - FINE WITH ME! Absolutely Flippin Fine with me!

Noah's room is casuing me some stress. It is either going to be be beautiful or look a bit like a circus. Time will tell. I finished my registry and am having my shower on June 21st. My best friend is throwing it and it will be a couple's baby shower complete with wine, beer, and a margarita machine. My kind of shower.... :D

I am still dealing with back pain, but took my a-- to prenatal yoga. Part of me wanted to laugh looking around the room and watching us preggos huffing and puffing and holding these crazy positions. Some of those
b-tches look damn good for being pregnant and I believe I might have left with my tail between my legs afterwards. But I continue to go back...as if I am going to undue the damage I have already done. :)

Angie - Sounds like you are doing well! Let us know how the scan goes on Monday. I don't have mine for another week or two - it has been forever! I wish I could stop working soon, but I will be working to the bitter flippin end!

Meg - Congrats on the continued exercise and wieght loss plan! You are my hero! It is going to be tough trying to get back in shape after this little guy pops out - hope I can do it!

Nickster - I swear I do not know how you do your job. I would probably want to kill everyone - esp these damn women coming in dragging their brood of children they can't take care of and popping out another. How do you do it?? You have got to be an amazing person. You should feel very proud of yourself. You are a better woma than me! I would probably steal one of their babies! :) When are you starting your next round of IVF??

Sassy - I loved your story about your jeans. I can tell you one thing - I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a couple of pairs of jeans and I do not regret it. I live in jeans and I will be damned if I won't at least find some that look halfway decent. I am sorry to hear you are still being subjected to the dildo-cam. I am so thankful not to see that damn thing anymore. Ugghhhh. I cringe just thinking of it and watching the nurse dump a whole tube of lube on it - for God's sakes - do we really need ALL of that???? Gross!!!! Hopefully you will soon be past it also. Glad to hear the trips are doing well. Has it hit you that you are having 3 babies yet?? :) :)

Fee - How is work? Have you impressed the hell out of them yet? How is Rio?

Ok, I better run. Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to you all who are mothers and for those that will be in the future - either soon or down the line! I sure hope my husband knows to break out the big guns and do something nice for me tomorrow. Hmmmmm.....

Hello....hope everyone had a good weekend (& mom's day)!

Angie~ I think if I remember right, this should be your last week of work! How excited are you?
Let us know how the scan went today.

Tina~ Good to hear from you. Sorry to hear you're still working so hard but it sounds like it will be calming down soon, thank God!
What's the problem with Noah's room? Why would it look like a circus??
We will probably do our next IVF sometime later this year, still not exactly sure. We are switching clinics and haven't even talked to them yet.

Meg~ How was your first Mother's Day?? Did dh (Lucy) get you a nice present?

How is everyone else? Fee, Jenn, Sassy, Vicky....how are ya?

Not much new here. We had lots of company at our house this weekend. We had a bbq Sat and lots of family here yesterday for Mother's Day. Tonight I go back to work, so we'll see what fun awaits me there!!

Talk to everyone soon.

What a difference a year makes . . .

Post by Coco »

Hi Sisters,

It has been a while but I wanted to pop in and say hello.

Just over a year ago, DH and I scrapped our IVF at the last minute, froze 9 embies and called our marriage off for "friendship."

What a difference a year makes!

Well, guess who is pregnant, (naturally!) with her partner, soon to be her husband? Oh, yes, yours truly. And happy! Due in July (a girl) and forever amazed at the way things tend to work out for the best.

I am so glad that things are going well for many of you, too.

Should I mention that he is 11 years younger than me? (That means that he is 27 in case you are wondering.)

I think that I need to update my signature.

Oops baby crying got to go! TAke care, I'll be back later

Wow...Coco!
Isn't it so funny how things happen. I know we all hate to hear it (cuz God knows we've heard it from many) but stories like yours really do make us believe things happen when the time is right!
Good for you. Glad to hear your happy!

Jenn~ Glad to hear your weather is good. Ours is great today but the weekend was a lot cooler than it had been.

My sister and I just went and visited my grandfather and a few of his sisters and brothers (who we've always been close to) in the nursing home today, it was sooo sad. My grandpa was recently in the hospital for a bowel obstruction and ever since he got out, he has not been himself and just showing signs of "giving up". He's got Parkinson's real bad and arthritis everywhere so he hurts ALL the time. My dad told us this weekend to get up there because he was doing so bad, and he is. That is so sad to see. The rest of them (the great aunts and my grandpa's wife) all have alzheimers and most of them don't even know who we are. It's so heartbreaking! My sister and I promised we'd pull the plug on eachother before we let it get that bad!

Wow Coco - great to hear your news - it's amazing what can happen in a year - wishing you all the best. When in July are you due?

Well sistas I had my reassuring scan yesterday and all is well "one healthy baby in there" were the words the dr used which was great to hear. Didn't get any good photos as baby is too big now. In fact wombat weighs 2.2kg - 200g ahead of schedule - hope I am not heading for a whopper wombat! Face still looked a bit strange - I hope wombat will look cuter when he/she is born - the dr said it was like looking something through a glass - it will always appear a bit distorted.

Anyway I am happy and wombat did a big kick just at the end of the scan to say hello. :D

And I have 6 more days at work - yipeee!

Hope everyone is well.

Meg: congrats on the weight loss. Sounds like you finally busted through the plateau

Nickster: I made a quick trip to the L&D ward (will explain below), and when the nurse taking care of me found out I was an "IVF mama" she was so excited. Apparently they get sick of taking care of patients who don't really want the babies or aren't prepared to care for them. She told me they LOVE infertile mothers because they don't complain if they have to be on bedrest... can't go out to smoke, etc  I'm impressed you are still working L&D.

Angie: "Whopper wombat" heeheehee  . I like that. glad to hear he is nice and healthy. Here's hoping the hole in the floor is almost fixed

Tina: congrats on the new accounts. I'm impressed that you make it to prenatal yoga. I miss my yoga!!!!

Coco: fabulous news! And you are due soon!!! congratulations!

Jenn: I am relieved to hear you are actually getting out of town with Anna being 3 months. My dh swears it will be 3 years before we leave the city...

The triplets seem to be doing well--- especially if you judge by the rate of "bump growth" I am having  . I did have a run to the L&D almost 2 weeks ago (on a Saturday... of course!) when I started heavy (!) brown discharge. Luckily my Peri was on call that day and told me to meet him at the hospital. The US at the hospital showed healthy babies. The remnant of the twins' sac has been pushed off to the side by baby A but there was still a communication with my cervix, so that is where the old blood was coming from. My cervix was nice and long-- very reassuring. I was on bedrest for a week anyway and by now I have absolutely no discharge (yeah!). Our last "full" ultrasound was a few days after the L&D visit. He now believes we have 2 boys and a girl! Developmentally they all looked good... brain, heart, bones, etc. My next US is in a week-- another wrangling with the 'ol dildocam  I hope to have them peek to confirm the sex of the babies before I do much more in the way of nursery-planning.

I have just under a month of work before I have to quit and will be on light bedrest. I am stocking up on books to read!

Hope you are all well!

P.S. I almost forgot! The ******* is being released from jail today (US ladies.... bar the windows!). Yep, the one-man crime spree is free again. Apparently the four felony counts stemmed from one episode with his ex-girlfriend and so he plead down to one misdemeanor since it was a first domestic violence offense. And we wonder why we have so many repeat criminals around here.... Poor guy is apparently feeling sorry for himself since the whole family (besides me and my bil with four kids) just left town this morning for dh's grandfather's funeral. No one will be around to pick him up. Awwwwww. Yes, I can only imagine you feel as sad for him as I do

Hey girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sassy.......so nice to hear from you!!!!!, I am very happy that the babies are doing so good!!!, so 2 boys and a girl??, that is great!!, let us know about your scan next week!!

Nickster.......you are a very strong woman to be dealing with those patients, OMG, I think I would have punched a couple of them already (I know, not too professional, but who cares? ).

Angie.....congrats on the scan!!!, you are so lucky to have one, I don't think I am having any more scans, my last one was at wk 20, and my OB told me last week that unless he has any doubts regarding position or anything else, then he would not do another scan......oh well....

Jenn.....the boat ride sounds like it was a lot of fun!!!!, I would love to go on a boat ride with my little one when he arrives and with Sanson, of course

Tina......you are very brave, doing all that exercise, I am so jealous!!!!!!, the most I exercise lately is walking Sanson  , oh well, I guess I will have time to lose weight after Benjamin is born (easy to say now LOL)

Meg....your weight loss program seems very good!!, I guess I will have to follow you once my baby arrives!!!, so send me the routine so I can start looking at it (not that I am going to do anything else right now  )

Fee.....how are you and Rio doing??, haven't heard from you in a while!!

We are doing very well, except for some swelling on my feet which makes me feel like an elephant  , other than that, I am great LOL!!. I had my OB appt (I am going every 2 weeks now) last Thursday, everything was ok. My next appt is on the 29th and he said he will do a vag exam then (sorry if TMI), not too sure I am looking forward to it  , anyway, it would be exciting to know what is going on in there, whether there is any dilatation or anything yet, so, we'll see, I will be 35wks by then, and after that I start seeing him every week. Benjamin's bedroom is almost finished, I have the crib, dresser/changer, bedding and curtains, the only thing missing is that DH paints one of the walls (we'll do one wall light blue and the rest will be white), here is the link for you guys to see the bedding we chose http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... skn=434952
Well, Sanson is barking at me, we are taking him to the dog park now with DH, talk to you guys later!!!!!

Hello all! Well, just had our sono and it appears my child has a big HEAD! His head is measuring 29 weeks and a few days and I am not even 27 weeks. Hmmmm....think he will be smart like his mommy? He also has some sturdy legs on him, too, so perhaps he will end up a football player. His legs were measuring further along as well. He is measuring in the 68% percentile which when you are 5'2 and petite is rather frightening. I am going to have nightmares about having a 10 pound baby now. Lord help me... :) Oh well, the little guy was great other than that, so perhaps I will get to deliver a little early. I guess he takes after the men in my family (my brother is 6'4 and my dad was 6'3...my husband is 6'0). At least I don't have to worry for the time being that my kid will be tiny like me. Oh - and now for the bad news. My fat a-- gained 7 pounds this past month. WTF?    I don't eat badly. I exercise. I am blaming in on Noah's big head!!!

I will type personals later. Just thought I would update you on my boy's large nugget....

Oh, Vicky - I did check out the bedding: CUTE!! I liked that set and think I make take the mobile from that set for my bedding. :)

Hey girls!

Just popping in to say Hi! I have been reading but just didn't have anything to post! I can't wait for summer so we can go to the pool and hang out. I hope anna likes the water.

Glad to see the sisters and their babies, and babies to be are doing ok!
