Im Bleeding 1 day after ET :o(

Post by Welshgirl38 »

Hi ladies/Ghost,

As a lot of u know, I had EC last Wednesday but only got 1 egg - all my other follies were empty. luckily enough our 1 wee egg fertalized and we had a 4 Cell grade (B) embryo put back yesterday (Friday) I got some bleeding after EC which is normal, but it stopped after about 24hours.

Last night when i went to the loo before bed, i noticed a bit of pink blood on my pad, and more when i wiped!!!! Im getting a LOT of niggly pains in my tummy, some have me doubled up - it feels like my ovaries are 'pulling' thats the only way i can explain it! Also, the skirt that i wore to ET yesterday - i cant do up this afternoon as im sooooooo bloated ...

Is this normal after ET?

Any advise please ... Thanks

Becky Xxxx

Hey Becky it been a while since we've chatted but I do hope you remember me. On my first cycle I had the most awful pains and cramps. It felt like someone was taking a knife and having a go at my insides I also started bleeding and such that subsided about 48 hours later. My Re said it was fine and if it continued then they would check me but it did stop. I do hope this helps a little and I wish you all the best in 13 days!!

Hey Becks hun,

Man oh Man ok first off i wanna say usualy the women who go through the most poop during tww are the ones getting the BFP's

you really are working for this one. No you shouldnt be bloated it's way to early for implantation OHSS, sounds to me like an infection i would hope not because that would be down to your clinic, It's also way too early for implantation bleeding so not really sure what to advise on the bleeding front... the pulling and ovary pain can still be from EC although you only got one egg doesnt mean they didnt root around for more while you where sleeping so that could just be angry ovarys...a pain YEPPERS a problem for your wee one Noppers.

ooo i just had a thought...doesnt happen often lol.... after my ET my Dr said you can sometimes get a bit of spotting its nothing to worry about just when they put the tube (with your wee one in) they sometimes nick the womb lining and it could be that that your loosing? Becks hun sending prayers your way your wee ones still settling in right now...let me know when you go into hospital because of your bloating...

Hi Becks

Just wanted to put your mind at rest a little if I can. Aunty is right, the same thing happened to me. Dr said he had "nicked" me inside and that I would probably spot for a couple of days but that it was nothing to worry about. More than likely that's what has happened hun, apparently its easily done. If you're still worried though I'd call the clinic just to put your mind at rest.

Try not to worry honey. I know its easier said than done!

Hi ladies,

First off - Thank u for ur replies. I do tend to painc a wee bit i know lol

The bleeding HAS stopped now, and was just 24 and a bit hours, so im not worrying about that. The bloating, then im a wee tad concerned as i cannot get ANY of my clothes done up - no trousers or skirts. I know its way too early for implantation so i know its not OHSS - i must just be fat right lol ... My trousers are being worn opened under my stomach - which can be embarrasing when i stand up lol - my skirts are beig worn with an elastic band looped into the button and button hole to make more room for me LOL. The usual niggly pains in the opvaries (pulling) are still there tho - and Aunty - i didnt go to sleep, i was fully awake when they did the op - they just used pain killers, i couldnt beleive they didnt give me anything to sedate me - its their procedure apparantly.

I was bawling when they said - just the one egg and the Dr announced that he was finished = the whole procedure only took about 5 mins - they used a pump to pump out all the fluid - really weird watching it all. The nurse was using lke a syringe and pumping it with her thumb and all the fluid was being filled into a wee bottle thing - completly differently done to the last time i had tmt ....

Anyhow, thought i wud share that with u ladies lol - ive been keeping my belly warm and rubbing it and talking away to 'pip' begging him/her to grow nicely and implant when the time is right - ive been drinking a glass of pineapple juice each morning (holding my nose, its not my fav thing lol) My Dr said to carry on as normal - like i never knew there was an embryo there - only thiong not to do is sex, and thats for fear of infection rather than disturbing the embryo. Treat urself like u dont know u are pregnant i was told, but only do what u feel comfortable doing .... mind u, i still aint used a hot water bottle, or been in the bath (i have showered like lol)

Right - ive babbled wayyyyyyy too long now, im boring u all lol - will keep u updated on my wonderful 2ww ... im sure ur all looking fwd to the next instalment lol

hey hun...so sorry i missed this thread but sounds like it sorted itself out!!!i agree with aunty you know - the ones that have the s***iest 2ww are often the BFPs!!!!

anyhow - as for your bloating!! get on the phone to that hospital. please. i know its too early for implantation OHSS but its not too early for normal OHSS. if you are that bloated that you cant fit into your clothes then please get it checked out. OHSS is not to be messed around with. believe me. when i had it i also struggled to breathe which is another sign - the fluids pushing against your chest. any of that?? please get it checked out hun.

Morning (for me) Becks hun i just wanted to drop in and see how your doing (have of course been praying for you all)

I agree with Shantala, although you cant have OHSS because you wenrt over stimulated i dont think? maybe ghost would know better but just makes sense to me that in order to have hyper stimulation you would have to have been hyper stimulated?...hey crazier things have happend right...LOL

but i would deffinatly call the clinic or go to the ER dont mess around with it it's not worth it. Please call them..... call them....i will keep nagging ....ooo no dont call that shitty clinic go to the er tell them you suspect ohss they will take it seriously and we will get you sorted out.

can i just say i hate your clinic i mean really hate with a passion sounds like they treated you really badly and i am guessing its because you where a free ivf cycle, i want to come over and ask them, i want to find other people who have cycled at that clinic and find out if they got treated the same way, i am really mad...they def miss managed your cycle and sounds like they didnt give a toss either. ok once you have the baby i will fly over and we can go sort this out.

Hellooooooo :)

Thanks for dropping in on me Debz xxx .... I have found a site with all Northern Ireland girls - and have spoken to at least 5 of them, and aparantly this is the way this clinic does it. No one gets more than 2 scans, no one gets more drugs - all drugs are capped :( Which means everyone gets the same dose - if u over stimulate - they just drop the drugs - if u under - then they cancel you, or go with what u have.

Crazy i know - i too am stunned an really annoyed about this, we were buliding our hopes for this last go, and with all the fuss about embie freezing, we thought we were on a winner.

Im annoyed because we were also told that we had 6 good looking follies on my right side, but when they scanned me they couldnt see nothing on my left (they said the ovary was prob stuck and thats why they couldnt see nothing) that they wud see better once my legs were up in stirrups. Well - they got me up on stirrups - went to my left side and found 1 egg, went to my right and all follies were empty :( no eggs - not mature enough!

Either that or i had ovulated by myself as i was in so much pain the night before and sat in the waiting room - i cant prove anything and i cant do anything about it now - its classed as my free go - and we got 1 egg - they wont do anything else for me.

Dunno about ringing them tho, i dont want them in there fiddeling about - my 1 embie is fighting for a chance at the moment and i want to give it every chance.

Does OHSS get worse once u eat - dull question i know, but i seem to bloat even more if i eat summit - my skin feels like its pulling cos im that round lol ... oh and i havent put on any weight either - makes me think that im just fat lol

What u reckon hun?

Oh man friggin crap clinic that is ...I am pleased you found more girls so you know that the clinic is just crap I would report them to who ever funds the ivf over there because you can bet they don't know how they are abusing what they do, the more people complain the more they have a chance of preventing others from going through the same thing its outrageous that this is going on..imagine if you had known how bad they where you may have been able to use your free go at a decent clinic. If you had known they had you on a low dose because they "cap the drugs" (bulls**t that is) Then i could have sent you a full cycle of stim meds before you started I have a whole cycle I would gladly have sent to you.

Ok now got that off my chest, none of that is going to matter because your little one is going to stick around and complete yours a B's life....

My advice is to NOT go back to that clinic but do go to the ER tell them you had IVF your bloated and having trouble with your breathing they will not mess with your embie at all that has nothing to do with OHSS and it's way to early to see anything but they will make sure your safe OHSS if left untreated can be very serious and I'm not exaggerating so you have to go...I remember saying this to shantala ooo erm about 9 months ago tell her shantala I'm right ...she should go get sorted shouldn't she?....if you walk away from the ER with a diagnosis of nothing then what have you lost ok maybe 3 hours but you will know your fine....if you don't go you will sit worrying for days ...wont you?....

GO GET CHECKED OUT

I will pop back later to see what they had to say...or text me from hospital let me know they took you in and for how long...please ....Sam will forgive for this its important....LOL
