Angie - that is funny you said that because when people look at me and I tell them I am due at the end of June they start laughing hysterically. When I ask them what is so funny, they tell me that I look like I am about to pop any day!

Hope everyone is doing well! I still lurk on here but don't reply much because lately all I do is complain and I am sure no one wants to hear that!

Oh my gosh Kimberli!! Only a few days to go for you OMG!!! You must be getting really excited. Good luck. Will be thinking of you and checking in regularly now to hear how you're doing and maybe seeing some pics of your little angels

Angie, sounds like we'll be due around the same time. Will be great to all post pics of our bubs and then exchange stories on parenthood. Starting to feel like I've been preggo forever now :-/

Hi Everyone-
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I had my dr appt yesterday and my cervix is still closed and strong. We had the NST test again on Tues. I'm beginning to hate those tests. My girls never cooperate. Or one will and the other won't. So I sit there for about 45 min hooked up to all the monitors and then they say ok we'll do the BPP which is a quick sono. Usually takes all of 5 min and then they are like ok the babies are good. Also they told me I have to do another NST on Wed 2 days before I deliver! I'm like this is ridiculous I know it's better to be safe than sorry but I'm really getting tired of these appts. Especially when everything has been fine. Also I was upset b/c they wont' do another measurement scan. I told them it had been 3 wks since my last one and they were like in the 3rd trimester they don't do them as often! I'm getting a sono anyway to measure the Amniotic fluid so why can't they take the extra 5 min to measure them? So frustrating! Well I'm down to 8 days! I can't wait! Then the fun really begins lol.

Kimberli - you are so close now - sorry to hear they wouldn't give measurements but at least you are being closely looked after so they know everything is well.

Are you having a c section? I am going to try for the v - birth but who knows what will happen ? exciting and scarey at the same time.

Jane - I am now joining you with the swollen ankles - they look very unattractive - the weight is still piling on - 14kgs now - am hoping this last bit is fluid.

Dexter - it sounds like we will be around the same time - exciting.

Hi ladies,

Kimberli, just wanted to pop on and wish you all the best for friday. It's DH birthday thurs so won't get chance to log on. I can't believe they have not done a growth scan for you, i am getting them every 2 weeks now, I am still tryinng for a natural birth as twin 1 is head down. Will discuss all options with consultant at next visit, next week.

Angie, sorry about the ankles, but mine are the whole leg, very attractive, i now have some pressure stockings its that bad, and they are thigh length, very sexy in this warm weather and i have to wear them 24/7. I have a skirt on today and the stockings are thick white, new fashion going on here. But BP is still ok and no protein in urine, so its purely down to weight. I have put on about 18k now, but 8k of thaat is since i started bloating up.

Dexter, sounds like all is going well for you, have they given you a date yet?

Got to go put my legs up again, can feel them swelling up.

Hi everyone,
Angie and Jayne- Thank you for the well wishes. I can't believe my pregnancy will be over in a few days. Yes I'm having a c-section. My drs dont' do v deliveries with multiples because of safety issues. I don't blame them b/c neither one of the girls is in the correct position. Taylor was for the longest time and then last month she turned so she lays horizontally across me next to Jaqulynne. Looks like I'll be in the hospital till Tuesday as long as all goes well. I'll write as soon as I can just to let everyone how things went. I'm really glad to have found this site and share all this with others going through the same experience.
I hope everyone else is doing well and you keep us updated.

Jane - the white socks with a skirt sound very fetching - I hope the weather isn't too hot for you (shouldn't be a problem in England

) I am wearing my long haul flight socks which are quite comfortable - I am lucky that the weather is nice and mild about 17 degrees - only problem is I can't fit my boots anymore - I hope I will be able to again - they were very exxy!

Well off for an afternoon nap now - how is everyone else doing?

Firstly, all the best Kimberli for Friday. How are you feeling? My OB is the same as you when it comes to C section delivery for twins, especially with IVF pregnancies for some reason..? I wish you a wonderful delivery of your twins and pls post some photos when you are able. Speedy recovery too. How exciting! How many weeks will you be on Fri?

I'm seriously glad I'm not the only one struggling with the weight gain and the "cankles". At night my calf to my ankle are the same size and my feet don't look at all like mine anymore :-/ Seems to be a bit better in the morning but by night, no matter how long I stay off my feet, they're HUGE!

Jayne, haven't been given a delivery date as yet but off to see my OB again today and hopefully I'll have a bit of an idea then. He'll be away during my 37th week, so it will most likely be around 37 and a half weeks which takes me to around July 12th-14th. When is your due date and will they induce you if you go over? My OB won't allow me to go past the 37 week mark. He says I'm already running out of room and that was 2 weeks ago!

Starting to feel lots of hiccups now and more forceful movts coming from inside! They go thru quiet periods and then all of a sudden I get this whoosh feeling. So strange but utterly sensational. I will miss that feeling.

Take it easy fellow "cankle" ladies. Here's to fluid retention

Hi Everyone-
Dexter- Thanks for the well wishes. I will be 37 wks and 3 days.

I had my dr appt today and another NST test. All is ok and on one of the scans you could actually see hair on Taylor. Poor Jaqulynne seems to be a bit bald. At least that will be one way to tell them apart despite the fact they are fraternal. The tech said I should add 2 lbs to my last measurements of them which was 4 wks ago. That would make Taylor 7.4 lbs and Jaqulynne 6.7 lbs. So to me it's definitely time for these girls to come out! There's not much room left for them lol. Wish me luck and I'll post as soon as I can. I'll be in the hospital till Tuesday.

Great size bubs Kimberli. Waiting with anticipation to hear how you all go!

Quick update. My C section is scheduled for July 18 now which will take me to 38 weeks, due to my OB being away the week before. I really don't want to go that long. The twins were 4 and a half pounds each at my 30 week scan so I can only imagine what they'll be at 38 weeks!! My OB said I'm measuring 40 weeks now (if I was carrying a singleton), so effectively I have another 5 weeks of carrying around a full term pregnancy - AGH! I feel like I need a sling for my tummy!

Kim, our little girl also had hair on the 30 wk scan but our boy bald

I found that fascinating how they could tell. Have another scan next Friday. Hopefully all continues to go well. At least now I'm 33 weeks I'm able to deliver at my private hospital. They don't take deliveries before 32 weeks and I would have got transfered to the public hosp across the road if they came earlier than that so that's one relief!

Oh and I've put on a nice round 20 kilos now. Ha! What can you do but chuckle

it's exciting hearing all these dates - we have tentatively set one too - 9 or 10th July to be induced if nothing happens before - dr doesn't want me to go more than a week over. Wow ! It's all beginning to happen for us.

Dexter - I know what you mean about a sling - I wear my belly band 24/7 for support these days. Everything is beginning to ache - not only are ankles swollen but the joints ache too - probably from all the extra kg's - and my wrists and fingers ache and back aches - what fun!

At my appointment yesterday, dr said that head was engaged but baby is looking up rather than having chin tucked to chest - not ideal - but it can move around right up to the last minute so not going to worry yet.

These last few weeks are going to feel like an eternity - I will be happy for this baby to arrive any day now - we're pretty much ready.

How's everyone else doing?

Well it sounds like we are all moving on nicely.

Dexter, i was measuring 40 weeks by week 32, so funny i think i measure around 46 now, i look huge and its all out front. Glad you've got a date sorted, i know iit's hard thinking of leavinng them in there but it wil be best for the babies in the long run as they will be a better size.

angie, wow even a tentative date for you, think i'm lagging behind here. Hope baby turns around dear SIL baby was that way around spine to spine, can be more painful (sorry). Although my friend delivered a 10lb baby that way in January with no problems. SIL ended up with a section and when they opened her up the baby was staring at them all!!! freaky. Regarding the weather over here we hve had a heat wave, its been 24-27 over the last week, although it has cooled down now.

As for me, midwife yesterday, all ok. Blood pressure keeps fluctuating so getting a home visit on Monday for another check. the stockings are working, actually had knees again yesterday and some shape to the legs. At the consultant next Friday, when i will be nearly 36 weeks and he wil decide on dates etc then. They are having a but of a debate over my due date as all the scans ovr the last few weeks date me due a week before i am, so 14 July which would make me 36 weeks this weekend, the upshot of it all means i am carrying bigger babies, they are contacting my IVF clinic to reconfirm dates!!

Anyway best go do a bit around the house.

Hi ladies!
I'm home from the hospital. All went well. The girls were born Friday morning. Taylor Audrey was 7lbs 10oz and Jaqulynne Nicole was 6lbs 12oz. I'm doing ok just sore from the c-section. I'd send a pic but not sure how to do that. If someone knows let me know and i'll post it.
Gotta go and lay down just wanted to check in.

I know you're most likely completley tired, sore and overwhelmed right now but just wanted to say what a fabulous achievement and it's great to read about your babies! Can't wait to see a pic. Such good weights for twins too!! AND you're out of hospital already?? You're wonderwoman.

Have to tell me all the gruesomes about the C section. I need to get prepared :-/
