Question re D&C and aunt flo????

Anyone know how long it takes to get your periods back into normal routine again after a D&C? It's just that I think I had a period a couple of weeks after the D&C (which was in mid-Dec) and then nothing. Seem to be getting lots of mucus down there now which is very like the mucus plug stuff I got when I was pregnant. Daren't go and get a pg test as am only a week late , but my periods are usually bang on the 32nd/33rd day. Any thoughts? I know they tell you to leave it two months before trying again. Is that because of increased risk of miscarriage if you get pg so soon after m/c?

In a way even if I was pg I wouldn't want to know as I would then start freaking out about whether I was going to miscarry again. Then again if I could get pg naturally wouldn't that be amazing (given dh's low count!) . Maybe I will just leave it another couple of weeks and see what happens. Confused!! beckym xxx

Really good to hear from you although from your post it looks like you are going through turmoil again. We can only pray and hope that it just could be.....................??!!

hi Becky,
I had something similar after my m/c, although i did not have a D&C. What my doctor said is that the bleeding after the 2 weeks was probably ovluation, then i had to wait another 4 weeks to get my 'normal' period. i also had some mucus in between, but was not pg. in general they told me that after a m/c the period can be as late as 2 months because of the pg hormones still being in the blood for a while. but it's so misrable to wonder what's going on! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it is a miracle!
