helloo everyone !!

We survived the weekend - had fab weather - 3 days on the beach (with the sun shining) while the big boys played in sea - snorkling and body boarding - all with wet suits on I hasten to add - good time was had by all!!

Camp site was bizarre - no kids - over 18's only and there were as many same sex couples and hetrosexuals - all very friendly and nothing untoward happended!!!! - did see couples going in to woods in dark though with torches

Sophie - looked at your renovation pictures an furbabies - wow you have been so busy working on the house and furbaby looks gorgeous! - could not believe it when saw your ticker that says beta test tom - that has flown - well prob not for you! - what time will you get your results back??

Becks - hope you had a fab weekend - got spoilt to the hilt and lots of BACCAB action

Angel - hope you managed to get some good pressies for DH - I would rather have 20 £1 presents than 1 £20 one too!! hope you managed to go out for a nice meal and spend quality time togehter x

Mir - hope work is not being too bad - you been up to anything exciting over the weekend ??

Chris/Ang/heather - sending big hugs if your reading xx

Had chance to read through all stuff from spanish clinic and waiting list has now gone to 6-9 months so looks like it won't be the 3 of us cycling togehter this october  - also because of strenght of euro it is really no cheaper than treatment at home - so have 3 clinic that have waiting lists of 6 months approx and am going to find out about getting name on list for that - one good thing though will mean will be able to go away for holiday in sunshine now in November :D

Just seems to take forever to get hold of clinics and then have to go through whole story again - then wait for them to get back to you - hopefully our old consultant said he would do all necessary tests on NHS for us and then only have to go to clinic couple of times - ones in Darlington, one in Lesicester and other in London - London and Leicester ok - but darlington bit of a hike

Anyway off to enjoy some bank holiday sunshine - working from home tues and wednesday so will be around!!

All crossed for Sophie for tomXXXX

Hi Guys - just found this post from Ghost and thought how true it was and thought it was worth reading - I am sure we can all relate to some part of it!

Perhaps I can post a better pick-me-up.

Let's look at the bigger picture. (Turn on the narrative voice of Morgan Freeman at this point).

You are partway along in your long journey of parenthood. You are going to great expense and discomfort to bring into this world a stranger you have never met but can only imagine. You do this at some risk to your health. It takes much of your time, and is very stressful. Some find it embarrassing, and for some it puts strain on their family, marriage, and friendships.

Along the way, there will be good days and bad days, heightened by the hormones. Expectations and hopes run high. Sometimes our hopes are rewarded, but they are equally often dashed. It hurts. With great resiliency, you keep trying until it works, and the little miracle that will be yours arrives in your arms, and clasps tiny fingers around yours. At this point, all the pain, expense, frustration, and risk are forgotten. We forget what is over and focus on what has just begun.

You are my heroes.

Hello ladies,

How was your weekend guys? :D Mine involved long pauses and lost of house chores!

Today is DH's birthday. And LOL, we'll go twice to the restaurant; once for lunch next to the river, and once downtown tonight! Good times! Plus the furbabies will have the occasion to stay alone for a couple of hours... get used to the idea... :D

Carolyn,
I'm glad that you enjoyed your camping weekend! Thanks for your nice comments about the pictures! :D And thanks for sharing Ghost's comment. I'm truly sorry that your cycle has been postponed... :( It really su***.... sometimes, those delays seem to take forever... I really hope you'll find a nice project to keep you busy and entertained so time really flies dearest! *hugs*

Okay, here's the big news... this morning, my husband asked me if we could POAS. It's the first time he does that, but he expressed the need to be prepared for tomorrow's blood test, and he also preferred, like me, to have the news in the privacy of our home. So I explained the pros and cons, and he still wanted to do the test. I couldn't refuse, because of course I was also very curious with all those symptoms. As we say here, only fools never change their mind...

IT'S A BFP!!!!! I got a ClearBlue test, and it displayed "pregnant" right away, even with my second morning urine. So of course we were absolutely delighted! Can't wait to tell my best friend this evening; looks like we'll both take the prenatal yoga classes for the same reason this fall! And sail through our pregnancies at the very same time! (she's about 3 weeks ahead of me). I'm also looking forward to telling my little sister, the only other person who knows we were trying.

To be frank, I'm also a little relieved... I was a bit worried that all these symptoms were something else! Then there would have been something seriously wrong with me! LOL!

I'm absolutely delighted to share the news with you guys. I sincerely hope, as Miracle said, that it will start rolling the ball in your favor, and that my BFP is the beginning of a looooong series of happy news! I'm sending LOTS of baby dust your way guys!!!!!

Take care guys, and have great day! I'll let you know the beta number as soon as I know, probably tomorrow (still have that apt planned at the clinic!)! :D

Hope you all had a great relaxing long weekend! That extra day off is bliss isn't it?

Becky - what was the hotel like? I hope you managed to relax and get yourself pampered. The weather was not too bad over the weekend apart from Sunday morning when it rained. Waiting for details (and I mean ALL of them)!!!

Carolyn - sounds like you had a great time camping. You didn't mention if you and DH, or anyone in your group got up to anything naughty yourselves?

About the Spanish clinic, do they all have waiting times that long? I was under the impression that foreign clinics take you on the next day as you're a private patient. Does that mean 6 months waiting list from the time you sent your e-mail or from now? Cause if they take you on in Nov, that’s not too far off. Not too long back I was complaining about having to wait long, and October is almost here. I know the waiting sucks, but think of it as time to build up your strength to carry the babies.

Miracle - how are you? Can you just tell your boss that you have to spend some time with us as that will make you more effective. How dare they keep you away from us? Hopefully no more storms/ tornadoes are expected.

Will be checking on you all later.

 I spent far more than £1 on each of the pressies. He loved all of them but later told me off for spending money when we should be saving it for tmt. Took him for a meal to Blue Elephant - its a Thai restaurant.

Hello Ladies Image How are u all today .... Nice weekend had by all???

Mine was ok - lots of BBCAMM (or wotever u lot call it lol) hotel room was lovely, but food was crap - just aswell i need to be on a diet lol.
