Hi,
I am new to the forum but had an IVF retrievle 9/4/08 with implantaion9/9/08. I had a postive beta level 290 the second was 640 and the third was 7050. I had an u/s 10/6 but just showed a sac. I had another u/s 10/15 that showed a baby with a faint heart beat. I have a nother one on Moday. I am not sure if this is normal. The center I went through said I should be about 7-8 weeks but the U/S shows about 6 weeks. Does this mean things are not right? I feel pregnant. I have had three boys. Any one else have this experience. I have tried to be sooooooo patient but worry like crazy. I would love to hear from some one.

This is a hard post to answer because there is no clear cut answer. I would love to tell you that for sure everything will be fine but in all honesty I can't. I'm in the same exact situation as you are. I'm 9w5d toady and had an US on Tuesday where they determined that the baby had stopped growing and no hb was found. My baby measured 9 days behind at the 7w4d US and had a faint hb.
So here I am waiting to miscarry as they didn't give me any hope. I'm refusing to have a D&C and will let thing happen naturally.
Please read the misdiagnosed miscarriage website and it will give you a lot of hope. I am NOT giving up until it's over and I hope you do the same. I'm not cramping or spotting and still feel pregnant. Women were diagnosed with a miscarriage and they decided to wait only to find a healthy baby later on.
Why not us? It is a really tough time to go through, so scary and sad but we can't give up for the sake of the little one we are carrying. We worked so hard to get to where we are and it is now that we have to be the strongest.
I wish you the best and I hope that your next US will bring you great news. The baby can catch up and have a strong hb the next time.

I am sorry you are having a tough time too. I hope they are wrong and you have your baby. Did they tell you to stop taking your meds? I am still on progesterone and estradiol. Which they said they would have me stop taking if I did not progress. I know there is not a clear cut answer just so many unknowns. I have read a little about how the doctors can be wrong and you end up having a healthy happy baby. I keep praying and hoping. I will pray for you too.
