Val - I know it can't be easy. You are a stong women and in due time it won't feel so bad. This journey is most joyous if it works out but when it doesn't it just sucks. Hearing that others are PG doesn't help at all. You know we are here for you if you need us. Hope you have a good vacation.

Stefanie - Congrats on the good CVS test and that you are having 2 boys. I want boys but I think deep down, DH wants girls. I have always been a tom boy so I don't know if I even have the knowledge to deal with a girl. Though if i am blessed with one I will quickly learn.

Toobee - Your muffins sound really good. I also like the Kashi cereal. Soon enough you will be able to move around normal so don't go to insane until you do. Pretty soon you will be up and shopping for your little babes.

MY Update

Hey Buddies, hope you are all well! Thought I would past something to see if theres a pulse out tthere since no ones on here!!! :D :D If not I will just talk to mylsef

Had an US today and it was really kool! Both babies have really grown and have allot of energy, they were really active today. It was so good to see them. Next week I have some sort of test they are doing, Nuechal something or other and we will see from here if I need anymore tests...

My DR said I can start moving around again Friday but to go back to my regular activity slowly and not over do it. Her only concern is my constipation especially since I have been really eating a high fiber diet and taking colace and suppositories. MY pipes are just not copperating! Anyway she wants me to try Senokot tonight becuase my stomach is very distended and she wants to get it all moving....she said its really bad considering all I am doing! AARRRGGGHHH!

Hello! Glad to hear the weekend went well for everyone. I had my inlaws in town over the weekend. We had lots of fun telling them our news -- they are the only family we were able to tell in person and also the only ones who didn't know about the IVF. So they had a true excited reaction! Fortunately my FIL makes furniture (he's made 2 cribs for my SIL) so we now just need to pick out a style and he'll make it. How cool is that?

Anyhoo, congrats Stephanie on the great results from your CVS! I can't believe you already know the sex! I thought you had to wait longer. Very cool!

I am happy to say I am off all fertility meds as of Sunday! It's so nice not to have to do the suppositories any more...wooohoo! I've also been feeling great, other than needing a nap every now and again. My next US is next Monday. One more week!

Good luck to those starting the stims now and those who are moving on after BFNs....Keep the PMA!!

Love!!!!

Too Bee - So glad that your little ones are doing good. Sorry about your blocked up pipes. I have never really had those issues. I am more like Turtles and get the running stuff instead of the backed up stuff. Oh and by the way.

Image

slfleming1 - Glad you were able to tell your inlaws. That must have been exciting. That is really cool that your FIL will be able to make your crib.

Val and Turtles - Hope you are having fun on vacation.

For me today was my last day of BCP's

I feel like I have gained 20 pounds since starting them. So I go to RE next Wednesday. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be OK and I can start stims.

Hi Girls

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I was gone for a week on vacation and then I had to finish up my job. My last day was this past Friday.

Val- I am so very sorry to hear about your news. Hugs. My heart goes out to you. I can only imagine how difficult it is to get to the point where you think it is your time and then have it taken away for you. Don't feel bad for feeling angry. I hope that you will be able to try again.

I have a lot of catching up to do with everyone, so I will do more personals later. As for me, everything is still going well. I had a doctor appointment last week and we got to hear both babies heartbeats for the first time. They were moving around and the doctor said they looked good. I am able to do normal stuff now so I spent the day yesterday cleaning because the cat is making a mess of the house. Going out north made me so happy I moved down south. It was SO cold.

Your so awesome and thoughtful...thankyou so much !! I love your little animations, just puts a smile on my face! And congrats for stopping your BCP's that so awesome...so did you start Loopie Lupron or not yet, I thought you said you did but I get easily confused these days

I so know how you feel about the weight gain...its such a sucky side effect! I had allot of weight gain in my first cycle and the truth is I really wasnt eating allot in fact I ate very healthy and was excercising every day- I hope it comes off as fast as we put seem to put it on! Oy vey!

That must have been so wondeful to tell your inlaws! that must have been a wonderful day for you! And how great that your FIL makes cribs, what a bonus   Yeay to being off fertiliy drugs, I know what a great feeling that is..no more shots, no more pils, no more hassles!!! Woo Hoo...now you can hopefully enjoy all your pregnancy and try to put IVF behind you! I am so envious of you that your feeling so great, but very happy for you!

As for me I am actually starting to feel human again...but I dont want to jinx it  Today is the second day the nausea seems to be more manageble and tapering a bit. I am going to see if I can get through the day without the zofran and hopefully that will help with the constipation too!!! I am still bleeding but its very little but still covering a pad...but its very brown so its old blood and that makes me feel better- So I hope I got through the worst of it and I couldnt ask for a better birthday present this year!!!

TooBee~Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a super day--you deserve it! And I wish you a wonderful year ahead--being pregnant and then being a Mum at last! Savour every moment.

Stephanie~So glad you got good test results and the twins are nice and healthy! 2 boys--how excting!! ARe they identical? or fraternal?

Amanda~Im so happy to hear everything is going smoothly for you. Congrats on two strong heart beats.

Chris~I am so excited you will be stimming! Hooray! It's your time Girl.

Val
~I sure hope you are having a good getaway. I hope you are relaxing and being good to yourself. Use this time to take a break from all this IVF and heal a bit.

Turtles~I hope you are havign a good visit to Universal! Your kids are quite lucky to have such a fun Mum--your DS and baby on the way! Take it easy and dont go on any rollarcoasters with the bun in the oven.

I am getting through the day without crying but I'm still hurting inside. And I'm pissed I put on so much weight! You go through this whole horrible process and all you get is fat! Im tryign not to be a bitter person--but I do feel like life is unfair. And I have no desire for sex with my poor dear DH. Has that happened to any of you after a BFN?

Thanks for the Happy Birthday!! I am 39 today---WOW! 39 creeped on me fast. I understand your pain and have been were you are except with miscarriages and not with IVF. The pain can be so intense and can make you angry and thats a normal emotion for what you have been through....I am so glad to hear your trying again, thats a sign of hope and strength, After my 1st miscarrige I was very sad at first, then got really mad, then shut down, then it seemed I accpeted it and was able to move forward. I imagine it will be a similar process for you. As far as sex, I wanted nothing to do with it for a little while...I just wanted to be left alone.

As far as the weight, I have to say I was shocked by how much I put on with those drugs, so your not alone in that. Some woman are lucky and they are unaffected, but we arent so lucky. I am still carrying that extra weight along with some new poundage which Im not complaining about. But its not your fault you put that weight on and it was for a good reason even though thats hard to justify right now. If your looking for a way to lose some weight before you start your next cycle and never dieted, let me know- I was put on the Lupus Recovery Diet and I lost a ton of weight as part of the program ...I was not trying to lose weight on it, I was trying to recover from my illness and the side effect was allot of weight loss-I had to adjust the diet because I was looking a little too skinny- I have let go of any weight worries for now, and eI make sure I eat really well to make sure am getting allthe right nourishment, but I will use the principles of the diet I mentioned above to lose all that I have gained when the time comes-

Hey ladies - I'm back in NYC and was so tired yesterday I slept 12 hours

anyone else wake up in the middle of the night unable to go to sleep? This is new for me, but happening regularly, so here I am typing at 3 am.

TOO BEE - water water water - that's the other side of the fiber issue. water. more than you can stand.

SueKiwi - I gained 5 lbs w/ every treatment (and I did 5 0 2 IUI's 1 IVF) after the last BFN I started exercising a lot. It was a place to put the pain and felt like the only thing I could DO for myself. I exercised right up to my retrieval.

VAlerie - Totally fine to sit out showers and not feel obligated to be happy for people. This is where you are and you will be past this one day, in the meantime, you have to put yourself and your feelings first. I found I could be happy for some people but not all. There was an onslaught of babies when I was struggling and I sent gifts, but avoided showers. and I love showers, but it was what I had to do. It sometimes wasn't even the person, just didn't want someone's aunt turning to me and asking if I was going to have kids. When I gave myself a break I found I could be there with happy-sounding emails (lots of !!!!!! ) and let it go at that.

glad to be back. I have an ultrasound on thursday, and If all goes well we can tell people. I can' believe I am in the second trimester.
