I have been diganosed with having PCOS. I would love to hear from anyone else with this & how they cope with not knowing when you are about to start your period.
Hi - I have slight PCOS - but irrelgular periods - and I sympathise -its a nightmare! Fortunately (noT!) I get mad spots a few days before my af is due so I get that clue!
If you can be bothered you can meaasure when you ovulate (with a kit) - if you can detect when you ovulate (assuming you do -alot of people with PCOS still do ovulate), you know you have your af 14 days after.
I took chinese tea (really gross) for a few month last year and for the first and only time ever I did have regular periods- maybe you could try that?
I was diagnosed with PCOS 5yrs ago, but also the same thime with underactive thyroid. Was swiftly put on throxin for that but not really told how to control, help or anything about PCOS.
I have since found out (from experience) that it's a pain!! I never know when af will arrive, so actually gave in and went back on the pill last year; couldn't stand it anymore (plus we weren't in treatment at time). Now we're back in treatment I stopped pill in Jan had af (29 days spot on). But this cycle had to wait till day36. As we are starting treatment again from the beginning, I will have to have another laperoscopy to see how things are. Hoping and praying PCOS hasn't got worse.....
I'm sorry that I ranting on and really didn't help much, not good at giving advice.
Take care
