Keppupples: Your milk doesn't come in until a few days after birth. Your seeing colostrum. I've had it too since about 16 weeks and mines not clear either. It's kind of milky looking I guess.

How's everyone doing?

I know it's only been a couple of days, but I miss hearing from you all :(

I'm doing well, walking is becoming more difficult now, and my hands still hurt. I have this weird feeling that this girl is coming before the due date...let's see if it's true.

I don't know if I mentioned it before, but my strep B test came up negative (good news!). I'm also getting really excited about our shower on Saturday.

I hope to hear from everyone soon. Sending luv.

Hi to ALL the Ladies!!!!!!!!!-Esperanza, I am the exact same weeks/days as you too, and I also feel that my little fella is coming early (maybe wishful thinking!!!) I'm waiting for my strep test results-by the way, only a vaginal swab for me too....I am having an ultrasound next Friday to decide for sure whether or not a c-sec is for sure for me. I'm so excited since I haven't seen this little guy since 18 wks!!!! I feel as though I can't gain another pound-I'm getting more tired working and kind of dragging by the end of the day. Sometimes I really can't believe that the end is near and we really all made it through!!!!! How Lucky Are All Of Us????? Happy early St. Patricks Day to all-May the Luck of the Irish stay with all of us!!!!!!! Jennifer

Hey ladies!!
I am LMAO reading all of your posts about being naughty with and without the DHs. My OB has scheduled me for a c-section on 3-31, so if this little boy doesn't show early like his sisters did, they're goin in after him! LOL The only crappy thing is that I got a 5:30 p.m. section time. That stinks because I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but most insurance companys will pay for a 4 day stay if you have a c-section, but if I deliver at 11:59 p.m. on the 31st, that counts as a whole day. :?
I have been wanting to seduce DH so that things may get a move on, but the truth is that I am so darn tired, I can never quite get myself in gear. :) The times I say "MMmmmm this would be a good moment", I have the kids running around. When they go to bed, I feel like I could fall on my face from exhaustion.
Much like all of your DHs, mine has avoided my vagina like the plague since the positive blood test. For a long time, kerpupples, I was like you....a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. I took up stock in double AA batteries to keep my vagina from drying out like the Sahara desert. I mean lets be for real. We know THEY have to be taking care of their needs, sooooo :P Anyway, as I close in on my 37th week (which by the way is when I delivered both my girls), I'm wondering what position I would find myself most comfortable in. Can't lay flat on the back......blood pressure.......if I'm on all fours, I would have sheet burns on both my large protruding belly and my 8 foot long breasts. I can't stand for long.....swollen ankles, and tired legs. So I'm gonna have to be a little inovative if this is going to take place. LOL!!! Sorry for TMI I just kinda feel that at this point, I've had my cervix checked more times than I've watched the news, I've had a stick up my @#$ literally, and I'm not feeling shy anymore. LOL

Esperanza~ Have a wonderful baby shower my friend! You are going to love it!!!! Enjoy every moment! I do know what you mean about your hands. Mine are soooo swollen now, and so are my ankles. My body is officially ready to be MY body once again.

Kerpupples~ Colostrum looks like watery skim milk. Your boobies are gettin ready. I know.....DH used to look at me like "what the heck is THAT?". Then as I breastfed, I would mess with him from time to time and tell him we were our of milk so I "squeezed" some into his coffee.  I wish I had a camera!!! Sorry no nookie for you. Has that placenta moved at all?? Think North North North!

Silverangel~ When is your due date again? You crack me up with the whole "they think they are so big that the baby will feel them" LOL!!  It is so true right! I teach paramedic classes, and when we talk about burn percentages when someone is in a fire etc, the groin is only counted as 1% of the body. The guys always have something to say about that. They ALL think it's more! How are you feeling with the two in there? I am soooo ready to hold him in my arms instead of my belly!!

All my other ladies, I hope you are doing well. Sonu and Lit....how are you doing mommas????
Is anyone on Facebook, I joined last month, and it's a nice way to keep in touch with people. If anyone is interested we could PM eachother.
1st IVF~DD 2004
2nd IVF~ 2008 BFP
Thank you Lord for this blessing
love and miss you gram and baby b

coming home

Post by Literatriz »

Hi everyone!
It is quiet at home now. My mom is sleeping late (she came from Brazil to face our MA Winter and is doing a great job helping us out) and DH went to work. Cecilia is coming home today and I consider this slice of time for myself the quiet time before the storm. We are almost done with the aftermath of the stolen purse. The mother is in jail, she lost custody of the girl. The only funny part is, I looked at her arms when she came in to visit her daughter and say horrible needle marks and I thought "wow, the nurses are training on her arm!". Silly me! The only think is I need to do still is to get a new copy of my drivers license and buy a new wallet. In Brazil we say "God has more to give to me than the Evil to take from me". I am on that page.
Esperanza, Babyloves, Jennywit, Sonu, Donna, Kerpuppies, Ct_Michelle, thanks for your support and good wishes! Yes I need that because there is a lot of work and we can't affort the wonderful, skilled, 40 dollars an hour nurses to come to our home... we will hire help but not for the night :( let's see how it goes!
The girls are doing fine. Evelyn is gaining weight but sill hasn't gained as compared to her birth weight. She is 2 pounds 4 ounces. She is very sensitive to noise and light. I LOVED the physiotherapist - she gave me recommendations for the NICU that are just precious. Things like giving afinger to the baby and putting some near her head and feet to ressemble the intra-uterus comfortable pressure all around. Also talking to the baby and approaching him/her at the midline before doing anything. She is doing better now with the frowning. The others are easy going!
I am running now as they called me from the NICU - Cecilia didn't pass the car seat test (90 minutes on the car seat when we live 2 miles from their hospital) so she will come home on a car bed.
Esperanza, hope you have enjoyed the baby shower!
Alreadyblessed, hope the count down to the 31st doesn't take as much - this time just disappears after the babies come, I can tell you :)
Sonu, hope Anay is learning how to swallow nasal secretions, a nice skill humans have to have :) It takes actually a lot of coordination. Just like farting:) Aerial management!
Sex, sex, sex...my sexual life is coming back - we have been looking at each other with some desire but my painful belly still keeps DH away. Being to motherly freaks them out. No matter how much we say that sperm and sexual activity softens the cervix, hum? Mine did not want to share my hospital bed, much less being romantic on a recliner !!!!
I gtg!
Best wishes to you all, have a nice weekend, Literatriz

Hello my dears!

LITERATRIZ-- it's so good to hear from you :) Oh my God, what a trip with that other girl's parents. I feel so sorry for the little baby (and in a way for the mother as well); addiction destroys lives...hmmm.

Anyway, about your little beauties: Cecilia must be home with you right now...yay! I thought it was interesting what you said about the car seat test. I didn't realize that. Do they do it only with premeeis or do they do it with every child? How about your other two girls? how much longer until they come home? I'm sending lots of great energy for them to put on the pounds really fast (especially Evelyn).

Your mama is an angel...from Brazil to MA in the middle of the winter. God bless her. I'm so glad she's there with you, I bet it makes a huge difference.

ALREADYBLESSED--3/31 wow! I keep thinking about you since you said your two girls came at 37 weeks and this is precisely our 37th week...you may be our next mama!!! :D know that I'm thinking about you dear.

You made me laugh with your story trying to seduce DH but not having the energy...hehehhee! isn't life like that? I just have the feeling that whenever dh and I end up doing it again (***someday****) I will probably be wild because I'm starving here ;) shyness? what's that? I used to be, but not after this process. You're right, after all the IVF + pregnancy I feel like "my business" is all out there, AND if I can't have sex, then might as well talk about it...it's for mental health...hehhehehehe.

I'm a facebook fanatic (my brother got me into it a couple of years ago when it was only for college students). I will PM you.

BABYLOVES--with twins you're getting even closer. How are you doing darling?

SILVERANGEL--you are getting really close too...how are you feeling?

KERPUPPLES--how was your shower? I had a sweet time at mine.

MICHELLE--my friend who's organizing my "virtual" baby shower contacted me yesterday...she's going ahead with it! it's going to be on March 28th at 3pm. Still don't know the logistics, but it is happening, so I guess I'll keep you posted. Maybe through Skype? it should be fun and interesting!
How are you recovering from your surgery?

SONU--how's Anay doing? how's mama doing? Oh, and how's your sister?

JENNY--Yeah, I have a lot of wishful thinking too, but then I talked with my godmother yesterday and she kind of discouraged me. I sent her pictures from the baby shower, and she said "you look great! I think that baby is going to be there for a while because your belly looks too high and your nose still looks small" Her theory is that women swollen up a few days before delivery and their noses get big and fat. hmmmm. Well, whenever my baby decides to come, but to tell you the truth I'm kind of hoping for an earlier delivery. Our spring break starts this coming weekend, imagine if she came then? it would be great (although dh doesn't want it to happen then, because he's hoping to use the week to write and catch up on some projects before baby comes).

I had a lovely baby shower. I loved the energy in the room, there was this happy feeling in the air. I feel so blessed and touched by everyone's love and attention. We got a lot of adorable cloths. DH said at one point "this girl is going to have more clothes than me" and we also got a lot of practical stuff like baby wipes, baby tub, bobby pillow, etc. There were many things still left in the registry list, but that's ok, because in reality we don't REALLY need ALL that stuff. From the essentials we still need to get the car seat, a stroller, a sling, and I'd like to get the bouncy chair because I've heard that babies tend to love them...I think that might be it (of course there are other things that we'll probably get little by little but they are not "must" haves...or so I think/hope). We're planning on getting the car seat this week, just to be ready since she might come anytime after Wednesday. We'll probably return a few things, I have to do some sort of inventory. I think we may have way too many bath time stuff (e.g. towels), and we also got a couple of gift cards, so that will be helpful when buying the car seat and the stroller. Oh, we need to buy diapers. I want to combine cloth with disposables for when we're out. Anybody else doing cloth diapers?

We've been fortunate because we've gotten a few great hand-me downs. We got a crib, and a bassinet, a really nice breast pump (I just need to buy the parts that touched the other mother's milk...no biggy), cloths, and will get a high chair.

yesterday I spent the day cleaning our bedroom and opening space for our baby girl things in our closets. I got rid of clothes and a few other things. I want the place to feel light and clean. Nesting, anyone? ;)

esperanza- I am so glad to hear you had a good time at your baby shower. I really can not believe your baby could be here anytime now. I know it has been such a long journey for you, I get all emotional just thinking about it, and I am so happy for you and dh.

I am recovering just fine from surgery, and well on my way to next cycle. I have to wait for af, hopefully 5-10 days, go in for u/s and bw and godwilling start stims on 4/10. I just can't believe how fast Ella is growing and I want to bring her a sibling so bad. Dh and I thought Ella might be it for us, but here we are again. After your little ballerina changes your life and brings you so much joy...I bet you will want to try again too!

Thanks for the info about the virtual shower, keep the info coming as you know more. I really think it would be a good thing for me to do for my brother's fiance since they live so far away from our side of the family. Of course I will have to learn more about skype and facebook.

My husband has recently gotten into the whole twitter thing. I am not much of a social networking butterfly I guess you could say. Maybe you could help me to learn facebook if you are such a fanatic. I recently joined just because so many of my friends and family are on there and I was trying to contact someone. Facebook would not let me search for someone unless I was registered, but I have no idea how it works. Like if I wanted to find you and "friend" you, I have no clue. I have also not done anything to my page, just registered to search for someone.

And thanks ladies for keeping me entertained with all of your sex stories...I was cracking up!

You are all so close now, I can't wait to here the stories. I will keep checking on you.

Hi!!

My girls are doing well...we're sitting waiting for things to happen as i'll be 37 wks tomm..they are 5 lbs 6 oz and 5lb and 11 oz right now...no wonder i feel sooo large and its so hard to turn in bed - down right painful even with my snoggle pillow. i'm scheduled for a c-section 3/25 so we'll see if i make it that far...

esperanza: speaking of nesting...sounds like ur getting ready for ur lil ballerina...glad u had a nice shower, and got a lot of cute things. I see ur going to be good to the environment and use cloth diapers...if u need disposable ones, tho' - i've gotten mine delivered from diapers.com...they're cheaper and delivered to ur door for free if u buy in bulk...plus craig's list has been great for me...i've gotten a playard, baby bjorns (carriers) on it for less than 1/2 the price. i'm just getting stuff there that i'll only use for a couple of months..

i've definitely nested...in fact, i have nothing to do now on bed rest...books are read, crib assembled and put in our room, bobby seat assembled, all clothes washed in dreft and folded and placed by age in the cabinet, diapers stacked in a little pink basket i bought along with wipes and burp clothes. Suitcase packed and car seats installed 4 wks ago  i guess i could sterilize pacifiers and bottles, but i'm planning on breastfeeding so its not so much of a priority... oh yeah, esperanza..i heard that the hospital gives u breast pump accesories..they ones u used while there, so maybe u don't have to buy that yet...

anyway...i guess i'm as prepared as possible :D

CT michelle: good luck on ur next cycle...hopefully its easier knowing u already have ella.

Literatriz: i know Evelyn will catch up really soon...hope celicia came home too...glad ur mom is there from brazil helping u out..mothers r wonderful

alreadyblessed: i know what u mean about cervix checks...they're horrible, thank goodness i was spared at my last apt...i'm already 50% effaced. so, ur c-section is only a week after mine...real sex will resume in wild ways hopefully after we all deliver and heal

jennywit: hopefully ur last u/s went well...

kerpupples: i haven't had any white stuff from the breasts at all...its crazy if ur already having that so early? some women don't get milk until 3 days after delivery...i'm kinda confused about that stuff..

silverangel: my fellow twin mom...how r u doing?

sonu: how's anay...still sleeping like a baby - heheh?

all right ladies...take care!!

Michelle--glad to hear you're doing well and off to # 2!!
No problem I can coach you into facebook

BABYLOVES--good to hear you're ready for the babies, although you make me feel like I'm behind   well, of course, with twins you just never know how soon the delivery is going to be. You're a good mama already :D Thank you for telling me about diapers.com I visited it, and they actually sell cloth diapers as well, so may end up using them for both cloth and disposables. Great tip! yeah, I keep an eye on craigslist as well, now even more because I have a better sense of what we need.

esperanza: don't worry about being done with nesting...take ur time, its more fun that way...sounds like u'll be just fine...glad the diapers website helped you! i just had 7 wks of bed rest so i made some use of it...i'd still be shopping now, but the round ligament pain and various other pelvic pressures don't allow me to do much any more...every day now is just more for these babies to keep growing and getting juicier than for me :D

Hi everyone, can't sleep again as usual so I thought I'd come on and shoot the breeze. To every one who's asked how I'm doing and stuff, I'm doing just fine. So done at this point and just ready to have it over.

Babyloves are you going as nuts as I am? Your a week ahead of me and I would imagine your just as uncomfortable. Hang in there girl, the end is near.

The doctor schedualed me for a c-section at 39 weeks which would be April 7th, so I know no matter what it'll be over by then but I have an appointment with him this afternoon and I'm hoping he'll tell me I've started to dialate or eface or SOMETHING that would tell me labor is on the way.

Every time I get up from sitting down I hope to feel a gush of fluid run down my legs so I can can yell out "MY WATER BROKE!!!!" But besides some light period-like crampiness, no such luck yet.

The hubby and I did the deed the other day to try and get things going and I'm so feeling it. Any one else feel like they ran a marathon the day after sex?

I hope every one else is doing well and is more comfortable in their skin then I am at this point. Love to all.

Hey ladies, I'll check in with more personals shortly. I've been dealing with strep throat and a nasty chest cold all week, and now on top of that DH has the chest cold too so of course all he can think about is his own suffering. Will get back as soon as I can!
