I wish I could give you the magical equation for making implantation work, but there is no such things, so I will share the many suggestions I have read over the years of being on these boards.

Of course the regular stuff, no lifting, no swimming, no caffeine, no baths. Then there are people who come home from transfer and put their legs up for a little while, or go on bed rest for a day or two. Some people swear by acupuncture, although I have never tried it myself. Then there is the ongoing discussion of whether or not eating pineapple helps implantation. I have read many articles, some for it, and some against it.

The best advice I can say is try to stay stress free, even though I know how hard it is during what is a stressful journey in itself. I guess try to rid yourself of non-ivf stress, like work, and pushy family members or friends. Surround yourself with good things and supportive people (like the women on these boards!) I wish I had more answers and advice for you....I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

If you would like to come and join us on the March/April cycle thread, feel free. It is a wonderful group of supportive ladies there and many people are cycling the same time as you. I am supposed to have my retreival and transfer around the same time, I start my meds on april 10th. Hope to see you over there, we will try to help you get through this tough time and answer your questions.

Hello and welcome!

I agree with what Michelle has said. I will add two pieces of advice I got from my naturopath doctor that I thought made the difference in this last cycle (I got other stuff from her, but they were more specific to my case, so I don't want to even try to recommend those):

-Make sure you have a protein high diet the day before, day of, and couple of days after transfer, that will make your body feel strong and ready to receive those beautiful embies. I'm a meat eater, but I also made sure to eat different sources of protein: tofu, beans, nuts, and so on.

-Keep yourself REALLY hydrated. Same thing the day before, the day of and the subsequent days after transfer.

One thing my naturopath doctor told me is that my body needed to feel "ready" and confident that it could "deal with the stress of a pregnancy" so making it feel strong, rested, and hydrated was part of it.

Positive energy is the BEST, so as Michelle said surround yourself with the things you like. For me it was a new novel (written by a Latin American writer, my favorites!), romantic/funny movies, naps in the afternoon, and some pampering from my loved ones.

Sending you loads, and loads of positive vibes and baby dust.

I'm a little worried right now coz about 3 weeks ago I had a bug in my stomach that cause me to have diarrhea for more than two weeks..and now i'm experiencing bouts of constipation and watery BM in the morning. I pray that it wont affect my IVF treatment. Im schedule to see my primary doctor on wednesday about this problem in my stomach. I hope and pray everything is okay.

Just Relax, Stay Prayful, and Think Positive. :)

Take it easy after the transfer. Just put your feet up, allow your hubbie to wait on you, and wait for the results.

2/15 - my ET. I am now 8 wks, 3 days pregnant. 1st IVF successful.
