Hi Alisonn,

Don't worry about pains too much - I always remember my midwife saying with all that goes on in our bodies during pregnancy, she never understood why all women weren't sore all the time!!!!

It could be lots of things - the time when your period may have been due or more than likely, things just moving about as your uterus expands. I had lots of pains during pregnancy and everything turned out fine, but if you are still worried tomorrow, phone your midwife, or clinic or gp.

Try and relax a little if you can. Take care

hi alisonn,

from what i know lower abdominal pain is perfectly normal. it is your uterus getting bigger and pressure starting to increase on your bladder and bowel organs. i had it too, i've now got it at the top of my uterus but can always feel pressure lower down too. i had a scan today and it's all normal so i guess it's all part of the package!

hope your feeling and doing well.

Hi,
i am 19 weeks. For a while now i have a dull ache low down, especially when i have a full bladder which does seem to be all the time! I also still get af type pains which must be everything stretching and shuffling about. I'm sure its all part of the process!

Snap

I especially had those at the same stage - stretching - can be quite annoying too can't they - they come and go and yesterday had them with the lovely back ache - you know the af one!
Infact I have a menagerie of pains and if I don't have some for a while start to wonder if everything has stopped - sadistic or what?

It is normal to have pains as the others have said it is your uterus stretching remember there is alot going on in there. But if you do get worried phone. It will ease your mind.

Alison

if you have done no exercise or very little then the 18 holes of golf would have been felt and that will be the stretching etc!
Also the headaches - I had awful ones at that stage but a few weeks on am ok again - try and up the fluids and drink loads - this helps prevent them

Hi Alison

I have been suffering headaches for the past week and i mentioned it to my midwife yesterday she says its the muscles around your eyes are changing just like everywhere else. I wear glasses though so i don't know if that is why she told me that. I have made an appointment (as advised) to get them cheked as i am wearing them most of the time now and i am only suppose to wear them for reading, watching tv and driving.
