Holy Moly Corny- That is awesome! I always love reading stories of how it can happen for people naturally after ivf. I wish that could happen for us, but with no spermies in dh's ejaculate, I would say it is pretty impossible. But I am so happy for you! I am sure abby is going to be an awesome big sister and keep us updated...I feel so special that we were some of the first to know...and your secret is definitely safe with us!

Corny - congratulations! WOW! that is so incredible!!!
I bet we are all here wishing it would happen to us too! But like CT we don't have many swimmers to work with so I don't think it could happen.

kbear- good job on your trip with Katie!

loopie- corn is just because some people are allergic to it, but seems like Pulman is fine!

Gecko - wow your frosties sound great, do they dethaw them all or just two? Then do they re-freeze some? Declan is doing great!

Our daycare drama is finally winding down. He gets dropped off by grandma in the am then I go bfeed him at lunch and pick him up. He is doing much better and I don't come to work crying anymore! He is grabbing on to everything and standing up but does not want anything to do with crawling. They want to move him to the "movers" room but I am a little nervous since he doesn't "move"! Other kids can walk... He has eaten small pieces of cauliflower and broccoli, cheese, bread, bananas. Costco has a big box of freeze dried fruit that is great, no sugar just fruit. Bananas, apples and strawberries, I break them into smaller pieces and he loves them. I also give him puffs and cheerios but to me they taste like cardboard. He also likes avocados. I got the spoon that I think loopie mentioned that is boon and has a squirt feeder, that thing rocks! We start swim lessons tomorrow!!!

Happy Friday girls!

Hello ladies! My baby was only born 2 months ago, but I was hoping to join your thread. I tried to connect with other mommies here and I haven't been that successful. Michele invited me to join this thread, and here I am! I hope it's ok for the rest of you to have me join your group. Is there space here for a new mommie? :)

Of course your welcome esperanza!! Congrats on your little one!! Are you getting any sleep yet? Parker started sleeping pretty good about 3 months.

Gecko---hows it going with you? AF came thursday so im starting BCP today. I am giong out of town after my Lupron shot when Im sopposed to start AF in July so I will be taking an extra week of BCP's and taking my shot a week later so I can still cycle and do my FET next month.

Suga--I havn't seen much of you lately. How are those sweet girls?

Rio--- Glad things have gotten better at day care.

CT-- Hope everything works out w/ your cycle. I always ready the posts w/ you and ghost. Im trying to learn more vs going through the motion of this crazy process.

Hope all the mommies are doing good. What happen w/ Mellie didn't she cycle recently?

Loopie-- Pullman is very active like my monsters. He's into EVERYTHING. He will crawl and pull up on the coffee table and now he started to take steps along the table. And our second tooth broke through its so cute!

OK well I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer!!!

Hi Ladies!

Esperanza- Just wanted to say I am soooo glad you decided to join us! There is always space for a new mommie here. Just so you know, we have a photobucket account to share pics on, username: octmommies2b password:eddoct I am sure everyone here would love to see your beautiful little Asha, and then you can see all the other cuties on this thread. I read on another post that Asha was dealing with thrush? Is that gone? I never even heard of it before your post.

Katie- looks like with my delay (if I stay on track now), that we may be doing FET's very close together. I think I am shooting for about July 22 now. I will be going thursday for u/s and bw, and praying the my e2 levels have dropped and I am fully supressed.

Rio- so glad daycare drama is almost over with. Wow, your boy is a healthy eater huh? Ella is still learning on most things, and of course I am still way nervous to give her stuff. I see your starting swim lessons...Ella had so much fun during the spring lessons, that I signed her up for summer ones too. They start July 7th I think, 2 days a week for the month of july.

Ella has her 9 month (actually closer to 10 month) appt tomorrow. I am very curious for weight, height check since it has been almost 4 months. I also want to see what the dr says about next steps for food and such. She still has no teeth, but I am sure they are coming, she has been fussy and drooly. We went to upstate NY this weekend for my future sister in laws bridal shower/bachelorette party. It was an 8 hour drive each way. Ella got pretty fussy on the way there, but did much better on the way back today, she slept most of the way. And it was a fun weekend. Of course she is the hit of the party every where she goes, and it was nice for me to get out for the bachelorette party. I have not been out alone in a long time, we went to a 70's type dance club, a bit of an older crowd who just let loose and had fun.

We were away for fathers day, but I made it special. Ella got her daddy a couple of childrens books and at the back of the book where 4 mets tickets for a game in august, I special ordered him the best cheesecake in Rochester NY for the weekend, we took him to a restaurant with over 100 beers on tap (which he loved). Then my future SIL's mom babysat so me, dh, my bro and fiance could go see the movie the hangover. It was fun, and I know dh had a great day.

How was everyone else's first fathers day?

Ok, gotta run, get some sleep. I will post tomorrow about ella's appt, and at the end of the week after I visit RE, and I will try and get to photobucket to add a few recent pics.

Hi Mommas!

and a great big welcome to Esperanza!
tell us everything! I've seen you around on the site and was so happy to hear of the birth of your daughter- what's her name? I have 2 very close friends with boys not quite 3 months old- one was a miracle of IVF and the other- the old fashioned way  - it's wild how fast they change

Pulman is all over the place- walking while pushing anything he can-a chair, stool, table- we are finally getting him a wood walker toy, but they have wheels and i fear that he'll get around even faster with that!

Rio- have fun with the swimming classes- your boy is already a water lover, so i'm sure you'll have a blast!

CT- wow 10 months old!!! how big is she?

anyone doing sign language? we tried for a bit when he was about 2 months old, now thinking of giving it a try again- he still squeals and squeaks- it is so high pitched and loud- i thought by now he'd have found something else he liked to say...

gtg- hugs to all and more personals soon

xxloopie!

Well, Ella had her 10 month appt yesterday, and she was 29 inches long (75th percentile), and her weight was between 16.5 - 17.5 lbs, she was too wiggly on the scale to get an accurate reading, but the dr said right around the 25th percentile which is where she has been the whole time. I did not catch the head circumference, but he said adequate growth all around. He also said still no sign of teeth. He said in the next 2 months they will probably all pop out at once.

He did give me the go ahead for almost any food at this point, there were only 3 prohibited until 1 year and 3 more until 2 years. I told him how nervous I am, and he said not to be, so last night I let loose and gave her some pasta and ham, they were super tiny pieces but she seemed to like it.

Loopie- wow, pulman is pulling up and walking around already? Ella is still not doing that, she still belly crawls and tries to pull up on some things, but not much.

I have a friend who is doing sign language, her boy is a year and 4 months, and I have seen him do the sign for hungry. I am actually trying to finish my master's degree next semester and I have electives I can take. One class I registered for is a special education class that has to do with instructional signing and finger talking. It is actually meant for special ed elementary students, but I know it will work with Ella too, so I am looking forward to it.

I have an appt with RE tomorrow, u/s and bw, pray for me that my estrogen levels have dropped. I will keep you posted.

Well, lots of cleaning to do today. My parents group has started having "tiny tots" playdates, for the smallest group members age 15 months and younger, so I offered to host one at my house this friday. So we have 4 babies coming over to play, plus Ella. I am going to run to Toys R Us today and get another outdoor infant swing to add to the swing set we just built so Ella can swing with a friend. I figure if I get pregnant again, I will need a second one anyway since you use them up to 3 years old. I will post some pics on photobucket of the swing set for you guys to see. It was an early b-day gift for Ella from my mom, and it came out awesome!

Gotta run...I will talk to you all soon!

holy cow- Pulman is 8 months old today!!

Katie- I thought i remembered how it went until i started typing! hee hee-

CT- woops- i've already given Pulman strawberries, and I think - some lobster  but he seemed to enjoy them- he really enjoys salmon

the class sounds great- way back, when i was in undergrad, the sign language classes were the absolute hardest to get into- they'd fill up so quickly- i had friends who were quite proficient at it- great for a loud, crowded bar, but if someone else knew sign, any secrets would be out!
sounds like you really pampered Papa! that's so nice, I just made a little flip book of P's 1st 7 months- and actually all the grands and 2 great grands got one as well, so i'm not sure it counted as a Fathers' day gift!

weezie? jomae? tammy? kbear? tina? - you girls out there?

suga- how are the girls doing? i'm sure two crawlers is wild-and probably why you haven't had a moment to drop in

how is summer going?

we are pretty busy, working on some house stuff/building stuff and really looking forward to our trip to NH in July. A friend inherited a house up there, and so we and our best friends are going for the week- a super thrifty vacation -

any chance Pulman gets, he's up on his feet and moving around the place- it's so much fun to watch- then quick as a whip, he's across the floor getting into something he really shouldn't - we are doing some baby-proofing, but not going overboard- just keep an eye on him and recognize that he's a big fan of electrical cords! I'll see if I can get a video of him and post it to youtube or something.

anyone have a good recommendation for sunscreen for the little ones?

and to all the gals having to deal w/ childcare- UGH!!!!!!! what a nightmare- I have been looking for something for P in the fall when I go back to grad school full time- omg- and I am the teacher for Steel Sculpture!woohoo!!!! but it means finding someone for P- so is it in someone's home? or in a childcare facility? what is better- i see the benefits of both and am sort of in a quandry - think i'm siding with the facility- but i waver back and forth- it will be near school, so he'll commute with me each day
anyhoo- much love and hope you are all having a super summer (and winter- Jomae!!)

best

Loopie - Your summer sounds busy! Declan is just like Pulman - into everything and he LOVES electrical cords. I've actually considered putting bitter apple spray on them but since that is for dogs, DH vetoed it. LOL. We have been using two different sunscreens - Aveeno Baby and Coppertone lil swimmers. Both work well but the lil swimmers is sticky. We have Declan in a daycare facility. We like it better because he is with two teachers and five babies his own age. They do educational and developmental work with them and best of all if they get sick there is always someone to sub. With the at home daycares, if they get sick you have to stay home with your own child. That was really not going to work with DH and my work schedules. Both are good though and I am sure you will find a good fit for Pulman.

Michele - Yikes! I already gave Declan strawberries. I knew about the other prohibited foods though. Sounds like Ella is doing well. I bet her teeth just pop out soon. Glad she liked the ham and pasta. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow!

Esperanza - WELCOME!!!! I can't wait to hear more about your baby!

Katie - I am already on BCPs and start Lupron on July 13th. I am scheduled for a transfer on August 15th. I am so excited! Keep us posted on what is going on with your FET. Can you believe we are doing this again!?

Rio - Glad daycare is finally starting to work out for you all. It must be so much better. Declan starts swim lessons on Saturday although he has been in our pool several times and loves it. I hope he likes the lessons!

Jomae - Where are you girl?!?!

Esperanza - a big welcome to you! I have followed you on this board so it is good to have you here!

Ct - I also gave him strawberries - how come it is on the nono food? I gave him organic ones. Glad father's day went well! What a long drive with Ella! Glad you survived! We are doing sign language and we do the "all done" and he stops crying when doing diaper changes (got fussy now) and I do milk and he smiles even when hungry crying. We do "more" also but he doesn't get that one yet. Good luck with RE appt!

Loopie - swim lessons were good, he was the youngest by far and went with daddy (he is braver with dad). I need to be more consistent on dunking him, he hates it, any more pointers? Yes we are doing sign, see post to CT :) Mine won't say anything except scream and babble! we have a Combi walker and he loves it! Try also Neutrogena has a new line for babies, all of them seem thick though. I also recommend daycare, there is more accountability since he is not alone with one person.

Gecko - let me know how swim lessons go! Wow getting close to your FET! Very exciting! How is the puppy doing with Declan?

Ok so I get worse mother of the year award! I had my arms around my bean and he was in his bassinet, the arms reach co sleeper which has tall sides. My Dh gave me a card to read and bean was sitting down I took my hand off of him for no more than 30 seconds and boom, with lightning speed he pulled himself up and fell down 30 inches. I felt like my world fell apart, he was fine but I took him to the ER anyway. No bruises nothing and the doc said they are very resiliant and maleable and those things happen, I am not ready for all the falls that come with him being mobile now!!!! Can I use a rubber suit or air bubble? He is now getting up on his playpen and cruising back and forth holding on, if you leave a toy there he tries to step on it to get out! We need to babyproof asap! He already knows how to open all drawers when on his walker! He also runs over all the dogs! Too funny. Well he is fine now but scared the .... out of me! The worse part about it too was his stepsister saw the whole thing and didn't even care if he was hurt or not, that made me very angry. Father's day was incredible, I made him a DVD of pictures of him and baby and like a slide show with music and some video clips in there. He cried! My OB said I didn't need to get my period back before trying IVF again, is this true?

Katie- I ate pineapple from ER up to 2 weeks I think, trader joes frozen ones.

I think the strawberries is only because it is known to be a common allergy. I would think if your baby has it and did not have a reaction, then you are fine. He also said that strawberry flavored foods, like yogurts, were fine, it was just fresh strawberries. Since Ella has not had them yet, and my mom has reaction to them, I am going to avoid them for now...even though I want her to have them, I LOVE strawberries!

Well girlies, my cycle just got cancelled. It was a cyst causing my estrogen to rise. My estrogen was down today but not as low as they would like, and lining was a tad bit thicker than they want. So they said to stop lupron, start provera tonight for a week and I will get af. In for u/s and bw with af, then bcp's again and back to lupron. Ugh, I have to start all over again! I am aggravated, I keep getting delayed, first the polyp, then a bfn, then high estrogen and now back to square one. I saw katie and gecko both on the july/august thread, which I have joined, and hopefully will have a transfer before the end of august.

rio- you are definitely not the worst mother! Ella has fallen twice already, and I felt horrible! One was just last week, she was in the middle of my bed relaxing while I got dressed, I turned for a second to get a pair of socks, and thump, she fell to the ground, also about 30 inches. She wailed, but was fine. The other time she was very small, first month home I think, and a blanket she was on slid off the couch, on man I thought my world had ended...but like the dr said, they are very resilient at this age.

And I do think you need to resume your period before ivf, but I am not sure.

Rio im sorry about the fall. Poor parker falls like every day. He had a hard hit on our tile last week. It scard me but I do know they fall alot!! Parker has also had strawberrys oops. Ill watch him close if I give it to him again. This is suck a fun age when they are mobile and into EVERYTHING. He is just so darn cute I dont know what to do. I cant call him snaggletooth anymore b/c he got his second tooth. :). He already doesnt like babyfood. I can get him to eat the fruit but not veggies. He wants the real deal. She spit a mouthfull of greenbeans on me yesterday but will eat them frozen or from the can like a champ. He still does OK with the peas.

Suga how are you. Your quite but I bet your busy chasing those girls around.
