BabiesGalore I too had some spotting during my stimming (about 4-5 days into it) Mine was a little heavier then spotting - kinda was like starting my AF all over for about 2-3 days. RE said everything was fine but I would call your RE to to be on the safe side if your concerned! Hang in there. Keep us posted!

Tangela1016 How are you doing with the Lupron shots? I found them easy, but gained some weight by the end of the cycle (7 pounds to be exact)

Cressicaw Snorkeling? Sounds like fun! It will be nice to go on a vacation after going through this IVF process. I have gone through one cycle in March but it was BFN and we only had 2 embies which we transferred on day2 so I had none left for freezing. This time I hope my new protocol gives me better embies that make it at least to day 3 and I do plan on freezing if there are some left!

Cheekyone GROW FOLLIES GROW!! Friday is almost here! My clinic is strict about no intercourse - at about trigger time until after Beta! I was using Prog. suppositories (YUCK) so it was not something that bothered us. All the clinics are different though. I would follow your RE's advice.

Kayce Competely understand the emotions - you rant and rave all you want girl!!!! That's what we are here for. Remember we are on mega overload of hormones on top of the stress of the medical procedures and unknowns. You are entitled to feel blue and down. Try to focus on PMA!! And unload here!!WE understand and are here for you! As for the POAS or NOT to POAS.........I believe that is a personal decision too. I did with my last cycle at about 8dpo until the day of my Beta and they were all negatives. I stayed positive with you never know until the beta but I am glad I did because I was able to perpare myself for the bad news. I don't know how I would of handled the news with out having some idea first!! Keep us posted on what you decide to do! You have much more will power than I do.

Thankyou thankyou for all your support and answers too my personal question much appreciated does help me alot now. I had to pluck up the courage to ask my re why she recommends intercourse after ET and she just said that there are studies done that say it can help with implantation.
But RE are not always right right? We'll my gut feeling is to do the opposite. Everything all set for friday i trigger tonight so can't wait.

Also, I am on day four ( climara & ganirelex) and I am spotting. Does anyone know if that is normal? I am told that I should expect to get my period in the next two days and I should head down to the center to begin my other meds., but this seems strange. Would I be gettinbg my period two days early? Any help you can give me would be great! Thanks.

Hi Ladies-

Kayce- try not to worry too much. When you start thinking about your 2WW immediatley try and switch you thoughts to your favorite saying or song and maybe reapeat it or listen to it over and over. My favoriate bible verse will usually relax me when I'm worried about anything. All will work in your favor... Name it and claim it!!!

Annisa- I too had to go back on line again and watch the video on how to give myself the Lupron shot.... and its easier than I rememer. I have my cell phone alarm to go off daily at 10PM just in case I fall asleep before I take my meds. I also remember gaining weight with my fresh cycle. Before this FET> I was moviated and lost 12lbs so that when I gained again, it would not be on top of what is alreay there. I'm also just getting back from the gym... kickboxing my As@ off tyring to stay active and busy until ET.

Miyaia- welcome...the more the merrier! You are very lucky to have insurace to cover you. Most of us gals are self pay and i tell you the expenses can add up very quick. RE says blasts have a higher implantation rate and I've read where ladies transferred only 1 and became preggo with singleton. You may also have the option of freezing extra embies. If so, the cost is usually more than half the cost of a fresh cycle. Talk to your RE> he will help you make the right decision...mines did

ER is tomorrow morning, 8:45. My dog just pressed into my tummy SUPER hard while she was laying on me. I am so paranoid that she just caused harm to my follies. Is that possible? Please tell me I'm freaking out for nothing because I'm really upset right now that she just did all kinds of damage and ruined everything.

Hi Girls, Thanks for the welcomes and well wishes. This seems like a great thread and supportive group.

Today was my first real frustrating IVF dealing...I am not sure if this is how they all work but so far my expereince with my clinic has been poor. It all started after my consult when I was told I could start BCP btwn cd1-3. BUT I also needed to get FSH and E2 levels done on cd2. I asked if they needed to be done STAT and was told no b/c I would be on BCP for 3 weeks and I had time before supression check. Well, I went to a lab that does not do them stat and I started my BCP on cd1. When my clinic called, they were upset b/c they said my E2 could be skewed due to pills. Also, they told me I needed to get a copy of CF screening, recent pap and H and P. They said I needed to get it and they would not request it. So I did. But since my lab work, they have called me everyday harassing me for results. They keep asking me to call etc....Part of me is wondering why I sign a medical release of info b/c I am doing all the leg work and its taking hours each day. So, finally today after a zillion calls, labs are in, H and P is in and PAP. BUT then I get another call from the clinic asking where my referral is...I told them I did not need a referral for this service. They said they did not care, they wanted one and I had to get it. So irritating. So after 2 hours on the phone today....I am still getting no where.

Is this experience common? I feel so ognorant to the process. I have been a bit spoiled by my last clinic that did everything for us. I just signed and they followed up. I thought we were suppose to remain as stress free as we could during the process....isn;t this just adding to the burden??

This all being said, I feel bad complaining as I know we are fortunate to have coverage. I wish there was a way for me to give my left over coverage to someone. Like that will ever happen with this healthcare system.

Phew, sorry to rant. I know this is small potatoes but for some reason I am so emotional these days. Must be the estrogen in these BCPs!! I fear menopause!

How are you all today? I cant believe that I just had to pay for another $2500. in more meds this morning - considering that I still have alot left over from last months cancelled cycle! For the love of - I now have 84 vials of Bravelle! Are they kidding? I think my RE is planning to make me into chemical soup this time! I think its time to get nervous now -he he

Miyaya -Welcome! its wonderful that you are covered by ins! So lucky! But no, its not normal for your clinic to expect you to chase down results - thats the nurses job. Is it too late to change clinics? I dont think its a good sign if this is the beginning with a new clinic. And yes, you arent supposed to be stressing during a cycle. Good luck!!

Hey ladies! I'm pretty groggy but wanted to give a quick update. ER went REALLY well. We got 14 eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we wait for the number of embies. Off to go sleep.

Katie99: i know exactly how u feel. When i got my meds and my bill i was mad and called my nurse to say that she over ordered but lo and behold i ran out and had to reorder. I think she wanted to say i told u so!

Kayce: Hope the hormones are at bay now! Lots of PMA. Maybe this is all a sign! Keeping fingers cross for u.

AFM - i prob won't be having ER this friday. Most prob it will be sunday or monday as my response has been lower than normal this time. But it is climbing up day by day. They are now monitoring me everyday so hope to get there soon. Some good number of follies and E2 is climbing up well.

cressicaw@hotmail.com: The only major side effect I had from the Lupron was headaches for about the first week. The shots themselves were not uncomfortable.

Babies: I spotted from my 10th day of birth control and when I started the lupron I had very heavy bleeding for a week but after that I didn't have anything.

I came over from the june/july boards because it seems like there are some people very close to on schedule with me.
I started my Lupron on June 29th and started menopur and follistem last friday. Had U/S today and they said the follies are looking pretty small still. Nurse said it is likely that I have lots of follies and so they are still a bit smallish. I have another u/s friday, but we're thinking I'll end up with another mondayish and ER on wednesday (07/22) (if all goes well!) I'm getting anxious. I'm going to have a LOT of questions once I move on to all the other meds!!!

miyaya - Try not to stress over the clinic. IVF is a hard process and there are lots of steps. It will all work out.

Cressicaw - I started lupron this week too! How are you feeling?

AFM - Started lupron on Monday and ended up with a HORRIBLE headache this morning early. I don't remember this side effect last time so I am wondering if it is from th lupron or from allergies. Anyone else have reactions to lupron? I just can't wait to get to transfer!
