I am looking for advise and thought there may be a lawyer on this board...
I told my job I was pregnant because I am in a job that gives me housing. I requested a larger apartment, and in return they changed my job! I have the same State Title, but I am not doing one thing that I have done since I was hired two years ago. They have completely taken my job away from me and are making be sit in an office all day with BS tasks!! My new performance program (which is my basic responsibilities for the year) is a complete joke!!!
I'm not a lawyer, but I work in a similar field. I'd suggest you call the Center for WorkLife Law at the University of California-Hastings Law School. They have a hotline that offers free help for employees who are experiencing work discrimination based on family responsibilities (including pregnancy). There are laws about pregnancy discrimination, and they'll be the most informed people to help!
