Ghost/anyone - Lupron and Follistim

I have a ? for those of you who have experience with Lupron. I have a 2 wk supply of Lupron and I am on 20 units a day and I started it on 8/16. How long has it taken everyone to start their "Lupron bleed" after starting injections? If AF shows in 10 days, I will have enough Lupron to last until 9/1 (I drop down to 10 units per day after AF) and I don't start stims until 9/5. That leaves me 4 days with no meds.... is that right? I didn't start thinking about that until after my clinic closed today so I couldn't call and ask. Thanks for any help and insight you can give me.

Shelby- I had a "lupron bleed" about 6 days after I started the lupron but I think it was because of stopping the bcp actually. I doubt they'll ever have you have 4 days without meds so I would definitely ask your clinic. Good luck.

Remember, they may decrease the amount of Lupron as the process starts. I did 10mls for about 5 days then when down to 5mls for the rest of the time I did stims. Just in case, my pharmacy can get meds to you in 24 hours. Maybe your can get them quick too, so you could still get it on time if you did need more before you run out. My clinic ordered way more meds for me then I needed.

i started lupron on 7/31 @ 20 units, the same day i took my last BCP. i started bleeding on 8/3 and bled from that monday thru friday. on 8/10 they lowered my lupron to 10 and i started follistim. i kept taking 10 units of lupron until 8/19. i still have some left over.

The two week supply that comes in the standard ville is actually more than a two week supply. I took lupron during the bcp all the way up to retrieval. At 20 units a day this should last a little over a month of it is a standard ville. They may reduce the amount later. Keep them updated because on my last cycle, they increased my lupron from 10 units to 20 units and i ran out the last week and had to order more. This was after 6 weeks though,

There's always a little more in the vial than they say.

If you do need more, which is not that common, the good news is Lupron is one of the cheaper drugs. We get a box for $99.

thanks for everyone's advice. I'm just going to monitor it closely and hope AF comes sooner than 10 days. If it looks like I'm going to run close, I'll go ahead and get another kit (mine was $99 also). I'll call on Monday and verify how long I am supposed to take it.
