deftonesmo - I'm not sure about the lupron. I thought Lupron was a suppression drug so you don't ovulate before you're supposed to. I don't know about the blood levels either. I would think that if anything it would help. My e2 levels were bad last around. I'll find out soon enough.

turtle0619 - I hope you're right. lol I'm sure my endo is either a 3 or 4 then. I had a lap done in April because I had a huge cyst wrapped around my left ovary. Both of my tubes were also blocked. They removed most of my left ovary and removed my left tube. My right one is still blocked. I pray that you get your BFP also. :D

shelbyrn0214 - When I cycled last time, what I got when I first when in for my first visit after starting stims is the same amount I ended up with when I got canceled. I hope they find more tomorrow and my levels keep on raising! I'm definetely going to ask about my dosage, but I wonder if it's too late now in my cycle. I guess she was just trying to prepare me for the worst, but you should have seen the look on her face. Her tone was just so final. UGH

mjay - I absolutely love your story and all your signs!

I hope everyone is doing well!

AFM, not much new. I am down to 5 units lupron and began my vivelle patches and baby asprin. soon I'll start the PIO injections. Luckily I will not need to give a PIO inj. on my own. The days that I need them all happen to fall on days that my dh is off shift. thank god!

Had my first day back at work today. Boring and uneventful (we had a "guest speaker" in the morning, and given a walk-through of our new textbooks for the rest of the day) as I suspected, but it was nice to catch up with some coworkers (what we ended up using all our time for). However, I feel somewhat sluggish and ugh. Let me explain and maybe you guys can help me determine if everything's normal:

1. I did not sleep well last night. Had this symptom before ET and after too, from the ovaries hurting, but last night it was almost as if I was having a panic attack or overdosed on caffeine: heart racing, mind racing. I was literally up from 2-4:30am cleaning! My guess is that it's nerves, about the interview, about the beta, about my life... I wish I could tell my subconscious that it will all be ok.

2. Still having stomach issues. I was told the Medrol would make me hungry, but I have never experienced this. One minute I could be telling my DH I'm not hungry, and literally 5 minutes later I would be STARVING and it would be physically extremely painful. But then I have to be careful about how much/what to put in there, because too much immediately makes it hurt and anything spicy will give me acid. I think the immobility the last few days is causing a lot of this... but the hunger thing is just bizzarre. Plus I don't know how much of this is still recovery from ER. Those of you who are not immensely bloated after ER are very, very lucky.

3. Been getting really thick discharge, light yellow/cream colored (sorry I know TMI). Mostly just when I wipe so it's not excessive. I've read that this can happen with progesterone. Have any of you experienced this as well?

4. Butt is still pretty sore. Not so I can't sit or walk as I've read happens to some (mostly really skinny ladies, which I definitely am not), but enough that I know I stuck a huge ass needle in there. I always know which side to do it on, too, because it's the side that's less sore. It could be my technique, but I don't think so. I'm giving myself the shot with no pain (couple drops of blood always on my left cheek though). I'm thinking this is just how it's going to be for the next ?? weeks.

Sorry about the long post! Catching up for not having been on all day. I can't believe there could be a major change in my personal as well as professional life in my near future!

mjay Cute with the pacifier! My pet peeve are people who get pregnant "accidentally." DH actually has a coworker whose first pregnancy resulted in her marriage, then a year later ANOTHER unplanned pregnancy, and get this: TWINS! I'm not jealous of her though, because she was put on bedrest for 4 months (and after being on bedrest this last week I know I would be miserable). It's just that... you would think after the lesson of "oops now we have to get married" the first time, she would do a better job of birth control. Ugh!

fitz You are sadly mistaken if you think there are no more shots. That's what I thought too. But unless your doctor is only putting you on suppositories or something, you will be getting more shots. =(

johanna I know our circumstances are different, but I will tell you that after something like 10 days of stims (the last 3 on double dose), my ovaries were still not showing any growth. But then they started "popping." So hopefully this won't be like your last cycle and more like mine.

cheryl Congrats on 11! And lucky you to not have any pain afterwards. Are you doing ICSI? I did, and fertilization was 100%.

Oops, gotta go. Have a shopping date with my DH for a suit tomorrow. But I just wanted to type one last thing: Shelby you're doing a great job keeping track of everyone on this thread. Thanks!

I looked at the bottle and what I'm actually taking is Delestrogen (estradiol valerate). Looks like estrace is a cream. I wish I could take that way...

I am currently on:
prenatal vitamin daily
baby aspirin daily
Medrol 8mg (2 tabs) daily
progestrone suppositories 200mg daily
progesterone in ethyl oleate 50mg (1cc) injection daily
estradiol valerate 15mg (0.3cc) twice a week

It is scary what we can make our bodies do unnaturally, although it is what other women do naturally. =P

bei Injections and even suppository progesterone is much better absorbed by the body. A lot of oral progesterone is filtered out by the liver. Trust me, I asked for any other possible method than injection, and was told I had to have BOTH injection AND suppository. But it depends... I think on IUI cycles my doctor only prescribes prometrium.

Fitzjr – YAY! Shot free! Praying for lots of eggs tomorrow!

Deftonesmo & Cheryl – Does your clinic have a certain time they call for the egg status? Mine told me by 11am. I guess so I wouldn’t be freaking out until 5pm.

Wolffie
– I really wanted AF to start so my lining could start rebuilding, but now I am miserable! I’m bloated, cramping terribly, feel so tired, and have an awful headache. Darn her!!! It will be worth it…it will be worth it………………..

Johannanita – GL with talking with your RE about the dosage. I hope they can figure something out.

Dtao – I hope you slept better last night and got some good rest. Yes, I had the same experience with the Prog. discharge. I started wearing a liner when that was happening. My RE said I have to take the oral progesterone, but I have the choice between the shots or the suppositories. I chose the shots because my insurance actually covered that. I will take a ‘holiday’ from time to time and use some of the inserts for a few days just to give my poor cheeks a break. Thank you for the comp about keeping track. It’s because of you guys that I can. I really enjoy this forum and love hearing/sharing our dream of becoming mothers. It’s my pleasure!

Bei
– It took some readjusting when I had to start the shots again and it will this time, too. I just hate needles when they are pointed at me!

Got the kiddies off to school so now I am going to take a little snooze and hope these darn cramps go away!

shelbyrn0214 - My clinic doesn't have a specific call back time for embie status, they usually call by mid-afternoon. They also let us call whenever we want to check on our "babies." In previous cycles, I've called daily to see how they are (and one time asked them to read them a bedtime story - ha!).

Fitzjr - Thinking about you! Let us know how many follies were retrieved!

Deftonesmo - We are twinkies! 11 retrieved for both of us. How are you feeling after retrieval? Yesterday I gained 5 pds in one day, but today only up 3.

Dtao - Yes, we are doing ICSI, and if needed they will also do assisted hatching. I don't want to give you any false hope, but with my pregnancy I had a "snail trail." I also had it with my chemical pregnancies. I know, gross...but Jenny McCarthy's Belly Laughs book dubbed it that and I laughed and laughed. And with my pregnancy last year, I too got the zero-to-starving feeling. I know they say it can be the PIO - but who knows?!

Embie update - 11 were retrieved, 10 made it to ICSI, and of those 6 have fertilized...go babies, go babies! Based on average, they think 3 will make it to transfer. We are wanting to transfer 3, so hopefully the Lord is just making everything turn out easily (this is our last fresh IVF since we have a son from previous cycle)
