just wanted to say THANKS

Post by michelle_in_scotland »

Hi girls,
I've only posted a few times in the past and not done so since around christmas time but i do keep an eye on the boards.
The last time i posted i was given some great advice by you all and have actually managed to follow it.
We are STILL in the waiting to find out when treatment will start stage, we were told it would be sometime after March but more likely during the summer.
Last time i posted me and my Fiance were talking about getting married and i was a bit aprehensive about making plans for it not knowing when treatment would start, i was very depressed about everything and after the advice given to me by you girls i went to see my GP and finally let out all my feelings. He prescribed me some Prozac and after a while the world started to look a bit brighter. I have now been "happy pill" free for over a month now and still feel good. You girls told me not to put my life on hold while waiting for treatment, to go ahead and make wedding plans, and we did just that. We went to the register office a fortnight ago and booked a date, the 22nd May (my 29th birthday) and today we booked a short break away aswell, nothing too extravegant, just 5 days in Wales but we are both so looking forward to it.
So i just wanted to thank you all very much for your advice, it helped me out so much.
Take care and i wish you all the luck in the world for whatever stage you're at.
Lots of love

Hi Michelle,

It was good reading through your post, and I'm glad that you are sounding better. I hope that you have a wonderful wedding day, and I'm glad that you've decided to take the plunge - our lives seem to be ruled by IVF, so it's good to 'cut loose' now and again and find some sense of normality if that is possible.

Wishing you all the best and much happiness
