Ovarian drilling?????

Post by Dagny »

Hi there

Has anyone had 'ovarian drilling'? My consultant today mentioned that he may consider doing this as I have a tendancy to over stimulate. He is undecided at the moment but I was just wondering if anyone here has had it. I am going to look it up on the net to find out more.

My main fear is does it hurt???? He said it is done by a laparoscopy but the last time I had one of them the trapped wind and pain behind my shoulder blades made me sick and in bloody agony.

Another fear is does it damage the ovaries???

Oh, why can't I be NORMAL?

Thanks Gem and Traci

I am hoping that my consultant will opt against doing it for now. It is usually done for women with PCOS but because I overstimulate like someone with PCOS he is considering it. Poo

My DH said you would have though they would come up with a better name for it other than drilling. It conjoured up a picture in his mind of the doctor wearing a tool belt, a hard hat and arriving at work in a JCB!!!
