OMG TEACHERMOM! See all those problems and cancelled cycles...but your time has come for sure. Congrats! How many did you put in?

Iamhopeful I second everyone elses statements. The most important thing is that you are on top of the situation and managing it.

Kala We have had a blizzard here for the last two days and I am so nervous with the snow. I could only imagine being in the mountains. It's funny because I am really careful outside, but then I fall in the house, on carpet.
I think we go around Valentine's Day for the next u/s. I am supposed to be having a boy because we put in a male embie, but I still want to see it for myelf with all those embie mix up stuff in the news.

I am glad to see that everyone seems to he doing fairly well. I am sure that the gestational diabetes is awful to go through, but I know several people who have delivered healthy babies with it.

I was released from the RE yesterday. I will be taking the PIO until I am 12 weeks on 24 December. I also had my initial visit with the maternal-fetal medicine doctor yesterday. He put me on additional folic acid due tp the twins. I will have my initial visit with the OB on Tuesday, 15 December.

Is anyone showing yet? I got a bit of a belly in August due to the meds from my fresh cycle that has lingered since I was on exercise restrictions with the IVF. I can't tell if it is just that left over fat or if I have a baby belly. Either way, it is getting hard to hide it. We have told a lot of people, but plan to make it public knowledge on Dec. 30th after my next OB visit. I will be 13 weeks then.

Lisa-OMG I have had people rubbing my belly right and left. Everyone knew Im pregnant, but it just started to show on Monday : ) I also was fat from IVF and no exercise, but it started to go away after stopping progesterone at 7 weeks. I worked out for the first time in 6 months on Sunday. I just did the eliptical for 20 min and bike for 15. I woke up that night with a lot of pain in my knees and calves. No fun!! Im going to try to be more consistent w/ working out. What are yall doing?

What are everyones plans for the Holidays?

DH and I are staying put. MIL, FIL, and BIL are coming which should be interesting, but Im trying to be positive. FIL and BIL can help us finish the loft so the baby's room can be downstair and MIL can help me cook and clean : )

Just had my office mate tell me yesterday "You are starting to look Pregnant" she knows but is the only one in my office who does. She also said "I bet people are starting to wonder.."I wonder if Julie is Pregnant?"

By the way for the update..my real name is Julie :D

Had my last appointment with my RE on Wednesday, it was bitter sweet, got lots of hugs and some tears from some of the nurses, I have become so close to them over the ups and downs the past year and a half.

No more Progestrone Suppositories, we had a small party to celebrate that milestone..TMI...I think there is enough in there to last awhile...ICK!

Still doing Lovenex injections, nightly but hopeful not for much longer. Monitoring the Gluclose levels 4X's a day and seem to be managing it okay except for after lunch...need to try to do better there.

First Trimester NT Scan is scheduled for Monday Dec. 21st, this will be my 5th sono. Baby is getting bigger with legs, arms, fingers, and toes...does not look like a gummy bear anymore

Spending the holidays at home but have a bunch of family coming..tradition for us is a fondue party Christmas eve....can't wait!

Hope everyone else is doing great and have a Happy, Stress Free Holiday!

Kala I want to go back to walking on the treadmill again, but I am just too sick all the time. I feel so out of shape. Every night when I am done with all my work and household stuff, I get so sick. I have to lay down w/o any movement or I hurl. I so hope this ends soon.

My parents are spending the night tonight. They had offered to babysit so DH and I could see a movie or shop or whatever. I am too sick to do anything. So I have talked my mom into helping me wrap. I hope we can get it all done. I have to wrap at night so the kids don't see, but I can't bend over or even lean over w/o gagging all night long. I hope we get through it all. We get our kids alot of little gifts so they have alot to unwrap. But that equals alot for me to wrap too. DH offered to help, but it takes him like 3 hours to wrap 5 presents, so that is not a good option. I was in tears the other night because I just can't do anything.

On top of it all my 7 year old broke her ankle in gym class and is on crutches. So taking her to the store or anywhere is alot of extra effort I do not need right now. I can't lift her at all either like into the tub. So we have to wait for DH at night for all that and night is sick time. See the problems here?

I am almost done shopping, so that makes me feel better at least. We are having Christmas at our house as we do every year. We have a small group of about 8 this year, so that helps.

Julie My work doesn't know I am PG yet either. But I would think if people looked close they would suspect something. Maybe they just think I am packing on the holiday pounds. We'll see when I tell them. Maybe they'll say, "I thought you were looking big around the belly." I run a daycare from my home and don't want everyone freaking out that they are loosing their space or anything since I am having a baby. My youngest has almost blown things many times pointing to my belly and saying. "What's this?" Luckily I don't think anyone has caught on as I rush her out of the room.

Hi All, was just checking to see whats new on the board and interesting that you're talking about people noticing whether you're preggers. I'm 11+ weeks, and although have been wearing largers sweaters to hide the belly I have so far, have an insanely annoying co-worker who keeps asking me (rather telling me) that I'm pregnant...she's got such an intrusive way and continues ask even though I've plain out told her several times that she's nuts and I am not, but that it would be great if I were:) I plan on telling my other less annoying co-workers after the holidays when I'll be 12+ weeks since I am getting larger and its taking too much work to hide. The strange thing is I think its all bloating and not "real" baby belly b/c I wake up not so big and as the day goes on I start looking larger and larger.
Anyways, any advice on how I should handle this kind of a nosy co-worker would be much appreciated.

Hey Bubbles-
I'm crashing the July thread (I'm on the August thread :) ) because I had to respond to your post. I too had an annoying co-worker my last pregnancy who was inappropriately nosy about EVERYTHING, including whether or not I was pregnant. Pregnancy makes me uncharacteristically confrontational in a 'do-not-mess-with-me-please-as-I-grow-my-baby' kinda way. So I'd probably say something like "It surprises me to be asked a question like that, since pregnancy is a private and sensitive subject. When I get pregnant, I will decide when the time is right to share that information. Until then, I guess people will just have to burn with curiosity. Have a good day, hon!" Good luck with the busybody!

And congrats on your pregnancy (I remember your name from previous cycles, and glad to see you on this side of IVF :) ).

Hi Shari,

Thanks for the wishes...it has been such a long journey but cannot be grateful enough for being here. Congrats to you too!

Your reply suggestion is perfect! Its so good to hear I'm not the only one that has the boxing gloves out w/ being preggers...I've always been a bit hot headed when I felt cornered or attacked, but watch out when that meets protective of the baby and anything associated w/ it:)
The 5th time she stated I was pregnant I laughingly said "are you my mom w/ the inquisitions?...I'll just start calling you mom." I haven't seen her since then being the wknd and all...but will definitely be using your suggestion if it comes up again this week.

PLEASE HELP!!!

So I told yall earlier my inlaws are here. And DH and I are at each others throats. We are fighting all the time and have absolutely nothing nice to say to each other. I cry all the time and blow up at his parents at the slightest thing. I honestly cant do this. Im terrified that something might happen to the baby. I hesitant about doing anything with my friends, b/c all i do is comeplain about my inlaws. DH is not really being supportive either. he doesnt understand what Im going through. Im tempted to leave town or go stay with friends nearby.

Bubbles-
I like the 'mom' response too! Maybe that did the trick???

Kala-
Do your in-laws know you are pregnant? Maybe tell your DH that you are nervous that the stress will affect the baby, and suggest going out alone together for the evening to de-stress. The whole pregnancy thing (esp. first time) is stressful esp. for you, and it also brings out weird stuff in dh'es sometimes. It did for my dh last time! This time around he's much more relaxed and 'there' for me. Last time, I remember that my sensitive emotional state made him anxious and we also argued more at the beginning. I'd say it's better to try to talk with him in a relaxed atmosphere than to leave and stay with friends. Leaving may just add fuel to the fire once you return, as opposed to making him more sympathetic. Good luck, and hope you guys work it out real soon.

Kala: I agree with sharishu, leaving will definately make things worse. I can sympathize with you I have been feeling very alone lately like my husband is not there for me during this time, there is a very distant feeling between us and I am so sensitve and moody, so I think we can contribute some of it to our crazy pregnancy hormones. Try to take some deep breaths and talking may be the right thing to do, although I have not taken my own advice and am still pretty short with my husband also. I guess we really have to spell it all out for them.....men..they just don't always get it! Try to hang in there holidays + in-laws can be very stressful, just focus on you and that precious baby of yours.

Lisa: I hope this week has started out better for you. I was pretty down until I read your post and thought..It could be worse...right? Crutches can not be easy to manage. Hope your able to have some time for yourself and hopefully you will be feeling much better soon.

Bubbles: Let her have it if she asks again...all I have to say is HOW RUDE!

AFM-had the NT scan today, wont have the blood test results for atleast a week but the ultrascan part went well, or atleast they said it all looked very good. Even gave a guess today for the sex of the baby, which really surprised me because I thought it was to early.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT HOLIDAY!
Hang in there and start celebrating being almost through the first trimester!
