IVF Info Needed Please!!

Hi, Im new to this board and was wondering if any of you ladies could help me out. This month I will be starting my 1st IVF cycle as soon as AF starts. I was just wondering if I could get some info on what to expect. I did try clomid for 3 cycles with IUI and that did not work. The clomid gave me such bad side effects like moodiness, major hot flushes, and very bad visual problems that unfortunately I STILL have even after my last dose 6 months ago. What are the injectables like? Do they have bad side effects? What should I expect while taking the injectables? I am very nervous about all of this, so any information will be helpful. Another thing I was wondering is if anyone has heard of someone only having 1 or 2 eggs fertilized and then regardless the quality of the embryos, having them transfered? I know this sound weird because our goal is to get pregnant and increase our chances as much as we can. But I have had such a hard time wondering about what I would do with any possible left over embryos. My doctor gave us a few different options on what we could do, but we are not comfortable with any of them. If my cycle does not take this 1st time then I would just take any left over eggs (if they can be frozen) and have 2 more fertilized and try again. Or just do the treatments all over again. Any information will be helpful, good or bad. Thanks alot!!!!!! And LOTS of Baby Dust to you all!!!!

As for me and the drugs, Lupron was a B***H! I was very angry and very stupid on it. I got lost going somewhere I knew how to get to and couldn't comprehend the directions to get home. I was also very emotional and even lost my cash withdrawal I had taken out of the bank. DH was ready to send me to the ER thinking I was having a stroke. Luckily your not on it long and once your done the side effects stop. Some people have no side effects from it, so you might get lucky. I found you just need to recognize you are going to be screwed up and it's just the meds and try to make it through. DH realized that too and accommodated my craziness. The other meds were fine for me. I permanently gained some weight from them. Maybe I could have worked it off, but luckily I am now PG, so it will have to wait.

We had 5 viable embies left after ER and PGD. We put 1 in for our fresh cycle and ended up with a chemical pregnancy. We froze the rest and put 1 frostie in a month and a half later and got a FBP! A frozen cycle is way, way, way more easy then fresh. So if you have leftovers freeze them and do an FET. MY RE said they are just as likely to be successful as fresh. It all comes down to how well they thaw. As for me FET was better then fresh for success.
