Holy Crap Jen!!!!! What a great surprise!!! Congrats!!!! So glad to hear from you and to hear good news at that.

Children- Sorry to hear LO got the bad stomach flu. I hope all is well and things are going back to normal.

Angram- So sorry to hear about little Audrey. Poor thing. I hope the tubes in the end will help her ear infections. Boy did she learn all kinds of things in just a months time. Watch your mouth mamma:)

Neffi- Oh, I think glasses is SO cute on LO's!!!! I know your frusteration, we only want the best for our LO's.

Gracies She now only wakedfavorite thing right now is to squat. Its the cutest thing ever!!! To see her little butt sticking out to keep balance. She'll squat for 45 mins while playing with something. The girl can laugh so hard and so loud its so funny. DH and I will get her laughing and she will pee her pants (I can smell it). We had Gracie eating some table foods until I gave her cheerios, puffs and yogurt melts. Now I cant get her to eat anything else!!!!! She wont eat anything that is squishy, she only likes crunchy things and things that dont make her hands messy.
We had an issue of her waking every 10 mins for months so the Dr told me to let her cry and not go in there. Its going well, the longest she has cried so far is about 25 mins. I still rock her to sleep at night though. She now only wakes about 4 times, one night she slept through the night. Hoping this works.

Gracie is still not walking, still just taking 2-3 steps. She cruises all over the house, on the walls, furniture, anything that she can touch with just one hand she will cruise it. Its hard to get things done at this stage. I used to be able to sit her in the kitchen floor with toys and do dishes, coke or whatever, not anymore!!!! Now, I dont know what to do with her?

Hope all is well with everyone!!

Dakota - I'm cracking up picturing Gracie's little butt sticking out while squatting, my goodness they are so damn cute! :) I hear ya on the snacking, that's all Audrey wants to do. If I let her live on yogurt melts, cheerios, puffs and graham crackers, she'd be in heaven. We're working on other foods, but she's really fighting it. BTW, working on my mouth but so far not doing too well. She also repeated shit the other day, I cannot believe she's already repeating me :)

AdsGirl - It is so good to hear from you, and congrats on the preggers, that is so awesome!! I'm happy to hear little Isa is doing great and wow, peeing on the potty!

Children - So sorry to hear about DS, it's so sad to see our little ones feel bad. It is great he's eating like crazy though, I'm still waiting for that to happen here.

Well it appears my daughter is trying to set the record of getting as many illnesses as she possibly can. She got a runny nose the first week after going back to school (after the holidays) and then came down with this horrible cough. Took her in and she has RSV! The virus then gave her a horrible ear infection and she was in such bad pain, so needless to say no one in this house slept. My sister stayed with us Saturday night and she's 30 weeks preggo. The next morning she was telling me after listening to Audrey scream all night, she was starting to panic about having a baby again :) My nephew is 5, so she has totally forgotten about all this fun! Well, hopefully my little one is on the mend and I can get back to work. Other than that, all is well. I go in tomorrow for my cycle day 3 BW, my HSG early next week, RE consult on the 25th, and then hopefully we're onto our next cycle :) I'll keep you all posted.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Angram- So sorry to hear that Audrey is sick. Wow, you poor guys! I know what its like going days without sleep so I feel for you.
I am excited that you are getting ready for another round. I want to hear all the details as you go through. It will be a while for us. Our ins does not pay any twords IF and since I am a SAHM, we dont have $20k to spare at this time:( I know that when we were all doing IVF, there were some girls doing a study IVF where they only had to pay for meds. That is something I want to look into when the time comes. Anyway, good luck!
Are you ready for the Olympics??

Dakota - don't want to jinx myself, but she's slept 3 nights solid now :) she's still pulling on her ear, so wondering if it's still infected after 6 days of meds. i'm getting excited about another round as well, but a bit nervous. i'm hoping this time will be easier emotionally, since i already have a beautiful healthy baby girl! i couldn't ask for more, so if it doesn't work i've already been blessed with all i need. my husband started a new job 6 months ago and they cover ivf, so hopefully it won't cost us more than around $3-4000 out of pocket. we did a study last time, which was so wonderful, but still paid around $5000..way cheaper i know. good luck to you guys finding a study too, that really sucks insurance doesn't cover anything. we're getting ready to head to vancouver, but i'm having a very hard time thinking about leaving audrey. i haven't been away from her at all since she was born, so this is going to be incredibly hard. dh just installed video skype on our computers, so i'm planning to call home and see her in action :)

My little Jack is 1 today! We are throwing a big party! Of course he woke up with a cold, but he is doing ok. I can't believe he is 1! What happened? I don't want him to get any bigger! Is anyone else feeling sad about this? I think if I knew I could have more it would be different, but this may be it, everything is going so fast! He is basically running now! He is such a wonderful baby! I am so lucky and blessed!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!

Hi Ladies!

Neffi - Wow, Jack is 1 already! Isn't it amazing how the first year has flown by? Our little ones are turning 1 already. I look at my baby girl and wonder where did the time go. It's so exciting to watch them grow, but a bit sad, because you know you'll never get that time back again. But, that's life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!

AdsGirl - Kudos to you on getting pregnant without IVF!!! That's awesome! I'd love to have another child, but we don't have the funds for another round of IVF, and I don't think I could handle it emotionally and still be a good Mommy to my baby girl. Blessings to you and congrats on your baby girl Isa!

As for my baby girl Zariya, she's doing well. I'm so blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home Mom to take care of her and watch her grow. What a blessing! I thank God that she hasn't had any illnesses except a cold that lasted about 3 days. She's eating table food and 3rd foods. I enjoy making her baby food...it's so quick and easy. It's amazing to see that she already has her own little personality....she gets mad when she gets water in her face during bath time, and she gets mad when our dog approaches her too close. It's the cutest, funniest thing to see her face get so red when she gets mad. Other than that, she's a happy baby. We had her dedicated a few weeks ago. She looked so adorable in her dedication gown. She'll be 1 in a few weeks, so I'm planning a birthday party for her at Chuckie Cheese's. Although she's too young to be able to play many of the games, her older friends will be able to have a good time, and I know she'll enjoy watching them.

Well ladies, I look forward to hearing more birthday stories as our little ones approach their first birthday. Take care!

Hey there all you Mommys!

I read through everyone from the beginning of this thread, and I can't believe I didn't post at all! I have been reading here and there and keeping up with you all, but life has been CRAZY with Amy and CJ and time always seems to be spent on something else!

I am so glad to hear that everyone's los are doing so well, and starting to walk and reach their 1st birthdays. Where has this year gone? It seems to have flown by, but at the same time it seems incredible that a year ago I was still pregnant and the centre of our worlds weren't even born yet!!

Dakota, I feel for you with Gracie and no sleep! Amy is still waking most nights 1-2 times, sometimes she will sleep 12-8 which is wonderful but often when she wakes it can take me an hour for her to go back to sleep in her crib, or I give in and bring her to our bed (which is where CJ is) - which is a bad habit! CJ is still nursing at night, and he ended up in our bed and I haven't had the energy or the heart to try and break that yet. Amy pretty much weaned herself at 5 months, she got so frustrated waiting for the letdown!

She is very independent and is not happy to be fed at all, so meal times are Very Messy at the moment! She loves to feel all the food, and is bad at throwing it sometimes too.....luckily she hasn't repeated any bad words but they are out there at times! We pretty much do baths after every evening meal, she had spaghetti bolognese all over her face and hair tonight! CJ thank goodness just likes to hold a spoon and practise with that while I feed him with another spoon :)

Both of them are cruising everywhere, and they are taking maybe 10-12 steps before they plop back down again. It is sooo cute.
Amy has 6 teeth, and CJ just 2.

They had Salmonella :(( when they were 3 months old, and have had a few colds but other than that are healthy babies, and CJ is in 18mnth clothes at 26lb, and Amy is my petite little girl at 19 1/2 lbs.

What a year!!!!

Neffi, I am so sorry about your m/c. I am glad that Jack is a bundle of joy for you and is helping you to get through. Happy birthday to Jack!

Adsgirl!! Congratulations on your new wee bean!!! That's wonderful news! So nice to hear from you too.

Angram - I tried the CIO thing which seemed to work, but then Amy will keep on crying a few times per week - it is me who caves, DH sometimes will barely even wake up!

Rubylee! How did you manage to get them both to sleep in one month! did you follow a pattern or did you just pretty much leave them? Any advice much appreciated, I really think you are right on the deep sleep being so needed.

I will try to post more now, but ladies I have been reading all the posts you put and it helps to get me through the more insane moments!

Take care all, and Happy Birthday to all those upcoming and past

hi everyone here,

Just a quick report bf my computer dies, DS had his 1-yr check up today (he turned 1 yesterday). Poor him had blood taken for hemoglobin level n lead level checks, 3 shots of vaccination. He didn't gain any weight, nor hight since 9-m check up, what a waste time to feed him so much - his daily amount of food is:

>24 oz milk
16~18 oz solid food (blended our table food)
>4oz yogurt

He had his first few steps today, finally!!!

Thanks all for sharing! have fun parenting.

Judy- I was SO glad to see you post!!!! I am thrilled that things are going well. You sound so busy, but are keeping well. I hope you have time to stop in and post more often. Sorry to hear the LO's got super ill, I bet that was horrible and rough!! I am glad that all is well now.

Gracie is running all over the house like a crazy girl!!!! She "offically" started walking 3 days before she turned 11 months. We had to break down and buy her shoes. We had a bad morning the day of, so we didnt shop around and jumped at the first store because Gracie didnt have her nap, I was grouchy because she didnt nap and DH was grouchy because we were grouchy, so we just bought from the first store. No sale or anything, ended up spending $45!!! I could kick myself today!!! I went to Kohls today and found some Osh Kosh shoes for $5. My DH is hell bent on Stride Rite because he wore them as a kid, but I bought the Osh Kosh anyway:) Getting ready for Gracies 1st bday. My dad, sister and Granny are all fying in. The in-laws, BIL and SIL are all driving in. There will be a FULL house thats for sure!!!! I am baking a cake and making cup cakes. Not doing anything fancy, of course cant aford to after paying $45 for shoes!!!!!! lol

Gracie got her first bloody lip today. Took 10 years off my life!!! The rush of fear was so mush that I was exhausted after. How crazy is that!!! Anyway, she fell on all fours and bit her lip. You should have thought she crazked her head open with all the blood.

Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

So sorry to hear so many of you are having trouble with your little ones sleeping through the night! We've been lucky in that department, and Isa has slept through the night basically since she was about 7 weeks old (sorry...don't hate us!). However, when she was sick with an awful sinus infection, she didn't sleep at all...and it took he a few weeks to get back to her routine. After about ten days, when she was feeling better we did let her CIO. It was awful, but it completely worked. We would go in about every 10-15 minutes, give her a kiss, say "honey, it's time to sleep now" and lay her back down if she was standing or sitting. She would stop crying as soon as we walked in and start crying again as soon as we walked out. But it never went longer than a couple of 15-minute periods.

Ang - I can't believe your little one is already repeating your words???!!! Wow! We really need to clean up our language. Isa is possibly saying "hi" and "Dadda", but it's not always in context...so who knows.

Is anyone doing sign language? We've started with a few signs. It's hard with her in daycare to get a lot of use in, but I'm going to try to keep at it.

Dakota - Gracie only eating crunchy things made me crack up. I'm not very creative with what I give Isa for finger foods...she's had cucumber, cheese, banana (which is hard for her to pick up...slippery!), rice chex (her fave), and I think she's had some peas and raisins at daycare. What are yogurt melts? Oh - and Isa is a squatter, too...but instead of holding the squat, she tends to do reps. :D Up and down, up and down. Maybe she'll be a skier some day with super strong thighs! lol

Judy - great to hear from you! So glad your twins are doing well! 10-12 steps?!! WOW!

Happy Birthday to Jack...and to all the others that will be celebrating soon!

Children - No weight or height change since 9 mo? That's amazing! Hapy Birthday to your little guy!

Thanks to all of you for the kind words about our recent pregnancy. I am still so shocked that it actually happened. Although I had a regular cycle for the first time in my life, I had been taking ovulation tests, and no positives. Plus, my DH had 0% morphology when he was tested before our first cycle. Anyway - here we are! I am 12 weeks today and very tired! My DH had surgery right after Xmas, was in the hospital for a week, and he hasn't been able to lift Isa for over 6 weeks - It's been A LOT of work. Luckily - vacation for us in less than 10 days. DH and my mom will be taking care of Isa...I will be resting!

Happy Hump Day to all of you!

My baby girl just turned 1 yesterday! Happy Birthday Zariya! Mommy loves you very much!

I want to wish all of the little ones a Happy Birthday! I've had to reschedule my daughter's birthday party twice, because our whole area has been pounded with two snow blizzards. Ugghhh!!! Her party won't be until the end of the month, but better late than never.

Dakota - I also spent $45 on walking shoes for Zariya, but they're Stride Rite shoes. I have to agree with your husband, Stride Rite are really good shoes. The sales lady (along with my husband) had to explain to me how important it is for a baby to have a good walking shoe....one that will provide good arch support as well as aid in their walking. After learning that, I didn't feel so bad about investing so much money into Stride Rite. :)

Now that our babies are 1yrs old or approaching 1yrs old, have any of you started them on cow's milk? Have any of you let them ride in a front-facing car seat yet?

Hello All!!!

Gracie turns 1 on Sunday!!! Wow!!! I just cant believe it!!! We have SO many family members coming into town for her birthday party. They are ALL staying at our house...uuhh. So not only will I have 4 members of my family, but SEVEN members of DH's family. Airmattress, blankets and all will be spread out everywhere for 3 days!!! I keep telling myself to keep my sanity that its all for Gracie. We are not doing anything fancy for her party. I didnt go all out on decor or anything since there is going to be enough stuff on counters and around the house while everyone is here. I did get one sign, hats and 1st bday plates/napkins. Of course the hats are for the kids, but maybe DH will end of wearing one:) hehehe... We are having pizza, I am making a chocolate cake and white cup cakes.

Gracie is running all over the place. She LOVES to be outside. The other day it was 65 and we were outside for 2 hours, I didnt think I was ever going to get her in the house. The next morning she stood at the front door pushing on it crying because she wanted to go out, but it was raining. I am sure we will have plenty more days where she wants to go out but cant.

The little bugger has learned how to get open the saftey latches on the litchen cabinets!!! She was trying to figure out the ones in the bathroom. She knows the white things on the inside of the cabinets is what is holding it closed to she is trying to reach in there and push down on it. I give her a month and she will learn to open those as well. I didnt want to spend the $$ on the fancy ones, but its looks like we will have to in the end to keep her out. She is learning so much!!! She is so vocal, but I dont have any idea what she is saying:) I get mama, dada and baby. She is SO stinking cute I cant stand it. She LOVES to grab my face with both hands, pull it twords her face so we can rub noses. SO cute!!

Well, in a few more weeks everyone's LO's will have had their first bday. I hope all goes well and everyone's enjoy and gets lots of goodies.

Glad to read everyone is doing well, staying busy I'm sure. Cant wait to read about everyones LO's first bday!!!

Ha, I love reading everyone's lo stories!!
Jen, I can picture your little one doing squat reps! Yoghurt melts are like puffs but yoghurt covered - we had one pack and the babies ate them in a heartbeat!
They love banana, peas, pasta, cheese, more cheese, strawberries, peach, more cheese (cheese!), and scrambled egg for finger food
Dakota, your descriptions are great! Hope you survive the madhouse and a Happy Birthday to Gracie on Sunday, enjoy :)
I'mBlessed, Happy Birthday to Zariya!

I'm with you on the outside thing, it finally got warm here in Fl, so we went to the park Sunday, played frisbee and watched the babies run around, they LOVED it!! They are both walking pretty much all over now! CJ got super tired and we went over to the swings and slides area so my 2 stepdaughters could play (9 and 12), and CJ swung for over 20 mins, we tried to take him out and he would cry, he was so drowsy his eyes and head were bobbing, but he just wanted to swing. Maybe we'll be getting a swing set!
Anyone have one they would recommend that's not super expensive??

Amy is getting really loud! She has been shouting DADADADA , then when we say Uh-Oh, she says Wuh-Oh, then goes back to shouting dada! She loves to divebomb piles of pillows, literally!

9 days til their birthday! Unreal!
