Hiya

Just wanted to pick your brains as to how E/C was at this Lister Hospital - how was it?? Haven't got that far yet  so always like to be slightly preprared mentally - were you in for half day or full day and what time did you have to be there etc?

Hope all is well with you my dear (keeping fingers crossed for another success at the Lister)

Love

Hi Nickie,

Am ok so far and test a week today, keeping everything crossed.
As for EC at the Lister its fine! We have had to be there pretty early both times(7.30), u check in,pay(!), then a porter takes you to your bed, you are in a room with one other person and share a bathroom with them. although I never really saw them as your curtains are drawn! A nurse comes and checks you over(blood pressure etc) the doctor doing the EC comes and sees you and runs through your last scan and follies etc. Then you wait! They take you down to theatre, and the anaestist(dunno how to spell it) is a lady. You are put out, next thing you know you are in the recovery room. After a while they wheel you back up, and you have to eat, pee and remain for 3hrs, then you are free to go! 1st time I felt fine, this time I had to have morphine in the recovery room as she had been digging around for a while wondering where my eggs were :( ! So was a little more dopey, but we left about 3.00. By the way, you get a really nice lunch, loads of choice, and there is room service available
They wont let you use buses or tubes to get home, we have parked in Battersea Park both times and walked across the bridge. Its £15 for over 4hrs.
Aparently according to my DH they telephone your bed, once you have gone to theatre, to let him know when to do his bit!
Hope all goes well for you this time honey, I am sure it will. Anything else you wanna know just ask, feel like I have lived at the Lister since last Aug!!

Hiya Sue

Thanks for your info - it sounds just like the procedure I had when I had my tube clipped (apart from DP having to do the bizzy wizz  )

So anyway, another day closer to your test date - will you be doing a home test or do the Lister call you up to hospital to have it done?? I bet you are getting really nervous and excited all at the same time.

Well, can't wait for your updates  - take care my dear and keep me posted.

Love

Hi Nickie,

Didnt realise you had had tube clipped there, I had mine done in Aug (have a hydrosalpynix on left, right is supposed to be open?!). it is no where near as bad as that, you will find it a doddle!

Am having a wobbly day as feel very pre menstural and wondering what I am gonna do if this goes tits up. Oh well will know by this time next week

I swear this is the worst bit and think they should invent something harmless to the embies that makes you sleep through to whole of the 2ww!
