NO GO THIS TIME

Post by Janeya »

After my last post the clinic had changed their minds (Good old Southampton strikes again) In the same week I had a letter of my Dr. as I had been for a scan at Salisbury Hospital, anyway I made an appt. to see my Dr. the scan had revealed that I have two small cysts on my right ovary and a small fibroid in my uterus this he wasn't concerned about and he said it would not affect the IVF ,but what did concern him was that my endometrium was 19mm thick and that it should be 4mm thick so I now have to have an endometrial aspirate which I think is where they stick a catherter inside and take some of the lining away.Hence my Dr. told me that it was not a good idea to do ivf this time but to wait.So I rang Southampton to cancel it,and the nurse said my blood screens would all be out of date by the time i went for it again so the last lot was for absolutely nothing and a waste of money was it my fault they were moving sites I think not!!!!!
So I will have to wait and cycle some other time now depending on the results of this endometrial aspirate which is on May 19th.
I will be thinking of all you April Cyclr buddies that I could be cycling with now and await all those positive results.

the wait continues

Jane,
What a b**er, the wait just seem endless. However at least they have found something and can work things accordingly there is nothing as frustrating as haveing unexplained infertility you sort of thing well they cant find anything wrong with me. Then you realise it means there is something wrong they just cannot tell what it is.

So at least this way there is something they can work on rather than just keeping their fingers crossed.

Do something nice in bewteen times/////////////?

Hi Jane

I am really sorry this has happened. Like Bronagh said at least they have found a problem that can be fixed and you will be 100% when you do start.

Have some time to yourself and DH.

I am sorry though as I am sure you were all psyched up to start now.
