I just called my clinic the other day to find out about when to get started for my FET and just learned that they recently started a new protocol for FET's. No more lupron shots. Instead of approx transfers being 53 days from the first day of your last cycle...it is now ...no lupron...just 3 estrogen pills a day to build up your lining and they are just going to put back the 5 day embryos on day 19 of my regular cycle.
In your research is this a good thing? Odds better or worse or no difference for it working? Thoughts?

Do they have any success rates with it?
My clinic has never done a natural cycle IVF that I can recall.

They have no success rate info at all? Not even last month's pregnancy rates?
That would make me nervous, too. It's possible they are still working out the details.
Perhaps you can request the tried and true method? Or maybe wait a little while until they have some success rate info for comparison?

They left it up to me...if I wanted to do a medicated cycle.
You can ask. They should have some idea, even if they just started last month. They should also have some published reports on which to base their expectations. I know my clinic can provide such things, although we don't always have them ready and handy. We don't mind finding these things because it's an important and reasonable question and also because we expect the next patient may have the same question.

I did not do any Lupron this cycle for FET, I started estrogen patches March 8th and vaginal estrace 1 week my last week to help with lining. Don't recall them trying to calculate any days of my cycle or anything, they transfered when they thought my lining was ok. As a matter of fact they even extended my date transfer date because of lining not being where it should be. Just did FET on Mar. 2nd, and will have BETA on the 11th. so I pray and hope its positive and will help in answering your question.

How did they handle the progesterone timing? An ovulation test? hCG trigger? Or they started you on progesterone supplements?

I was on birth controll pills prior to starting estrogen. Here's a breakdown by dates to give you an insight.
January 22nd- AF arrived- start BC that day
Feb 4- Ultrasound-stopped BC and waited for AF

That's a thawed blast, right? The 5 days between progesterone start and FET suggests they are compensating for 5 days of embryo development. Your progesterone start is effectively your ovulation point. That's a pretty typical FET cycle. Many clinics will toss in Lupron just to make sure you don't ovulate on your own before the progesterone start, but it's optional and plays no direct role in promoting pregnancy.

Tomorrow is day 7? Sure, you can test and you might detect implantation. If it's positive, you're pregnant. If it's negative, you can try again a couple of days later.
