TDF - i am concerned that you are taking the negative hpt,s to heart too soon. i have been taking one every morning with ---- but i dust it off and move on with my day ,the only reason i can do that this time is becouse the last fet i did the same thing and got so depressed after every ------ but then sure enough a couple days before betas bfp!!! and i remember thinking wow i wasted all those days being so depressed ....if only i had known. you also have to remember that the hcg hormone may not even be strong enough to show up on hpt untill after betas. So hold your head up and be happy sweetie its wayyyyy early!!!!

PA-FA - that is a cute way to suprise him .....i know ,i feel the same way about having some normalisy ,everything else IS so clinical i want to atleast be the first to find out its a bfp if that is the case!! and not some lab guy...oh well as long as the result is a bfp its all good i suppose.

zinita- dont worry about lining thinkness I'm sure if it was too thick and not good the RE wouldnt let you do the transfer. Congrats on having 15 fertalized thats great!

tdf- dont give up hope! Ive seen many women get -hpt only to get a + beta

They called me today and my transfer is at 11:30 am ughhh I'm getting nervous that my frostie wont make it PMA PMA PMA!!!

Hi ladies - thanks so much for the support!!!! I know it probably is too early to test but just gets you so anxious and this rollercoaster with no guarantees is so crazy!!!! I am feeling better now and will pick up and try another test tomorrow.

so i was wondering if anyone knows if the hcg from our trigger shots before ER can somehow still be in our system that a HPT will detect it and give a false positive result??

Was informed today that out of 8 (a few were not mature) that 5 fertilized using ICSI. Still plan transfer on Friday. Praying that they grow til Friday and this time the remainder stay well to freeze

blairwh58- Keep us updated on your visits. As for the versed, she gives it to you right after she starts the IV so that helped me. It's kindof nice to be on the other side for once (I"m a nurse anesthetist) and receive the good stuff. I used ice prior to my injections and it worked much better. Also, my first climara patch stuck for 2 days. Be sure to clean off well (I used alcohol pads) and let dry before applying. I put on my buttock the first time which not have helped matters. Now I put where many put tattoos on the lower back just above my crack (excuse my language). It stuck the entire week!

Went to the RE yesterday for ultrasound and bloodwork. They found 8 follicles on the left and 5 on the right!!! She also said that my lining was looking good and was on track for the Tuesday June 22 retrieval. I was beyond thrilled to see that all these shots are really working. She lowered my dose of Follistim back down to 150 IU so that my lining could catch up with the follicles. Since my Climara patch was falling off she told me to put a new one on in a different location...this time i tried a toward the back of my hip- so we will see how that works out. If not I will move to the area you suggested to see if that helps.

So excited that a little over a week from now we will be doing the transfer!! Now just waiting for Fridays appointment.

My transfer is scheduled for 9:15 AM tomorrow morning! I am so excited it is finally here! I am still bloated and a little crampy but I guess that is normal, right????? I don't know how much more Gatorade I can drink!!!

I know there are a few people having transfers tomorrow so good luck to everyone!

Also, congrats to those who are getting their BFP's. It is so exciting to hear positive stories!!

What is with the gatorade? Did they tell you to do that? My transfer is also tomorrow but at 11:30. Good luck!!!! Already rented several movies for the weekend. WooHoo!

I was told to drink tons of liquid and eat a high protein diet after retrieval to ward off symptoms of OHSS. They told me that Gatorade was better than all water because of the electrolytes. I am just doing whatever I can to not get dehydrated. Has anyone heard of any other things to keep from getting OHSS????

Just lots and lots of protein, and more and more protein. Gets a little tiring doesn't it. I was told to drink gatorade too, but I wondered why it's so much better than water since it has so much sodium and sodium makes you hold in more water. Oh well though, I did it last time and was sick of it all, but it kept me from being canceled. Hope you make it through all that protein it's a little constipating, at a time that things are a bit uncomfortable to begin with....good luck! Dried plums can be your best friend.

I was told gatorade and V8. Not really sure why, but I did it anyway.

Someone asked about ways of telling the DH. RIght now, there are lots of "father to be" cards out for father's day. Also, a bib that says I love my dad. Or I have heard of buying cinnabons and putting them in the oven with a sign, 'bun in the oven". Let me know what you decide!!

I am trying as hard as I can to not POAS. I had my transfer on monday, and and trying to wait until next Wednesday, but it's really hard!! What's the earliest that someone POAS ad got a BFP?? I did a 5 day transfer...
